Title: Isaac the Cataclysm - opening scene
Fandom: original
Word count: 164. fairly small
Notes: It's the opening scene to a story that I never wrote; a spinoff from my main story Seven Million Year Grudge, it would have told the backstory of one of the main characters. Perhaps I will write it out someday and call it a prequel...but for now, enjoy it as a drabble! whee

Time flows and time and time again memories are lost in the current. Events become history, only properly remembered if properly recorded. Those that do not become transcribed fade into not more than recollection, though the ones that are most notable may find themselves as legend one day. But even legends and myths are lost to the passage of time, and time and time again are they forgotten in the short attention span of the world.

Such were Isaac's thoughts as he poked at the glowing embers of his campfire. He always did his best thinking at night, and it was almost always thoughts on time and memory. The reason was obvious to him; he had no memory of his life save the last couple years that he had spent searching for his past. If only he could find some clue, some hint as to his origins, perhaps he could fish out his memories from the swiftly flowing river that the world called "time".
