If you guys haven't noticed, this year's staff is kinda small, and it seems that nobody really knows who we are anymore. As the person in charge of Advertising, it's my job to change that, and one of the ways I'm thinking of doing just that is by creating a monthly newsletter of sorts.
Ideas so Far (bad ones will be crossed out) - Updates on where the AURB is at the moment (co-host apps, plotting, the like) - Mini-games (cause mini-games are awesome) - 50/50 Raffle (who doesn't like gold?) - Mini-mini-comic (like tiny funny art thing. not a legit comic cause i love all the art people) - Plug for upcoming mini-events
Quote List (if you want to be added to it, just quote me and say so!)
With the amount of PMs I'd have to send, I'm just quoting people so it's all in one place.

Quoting you guys cause hosts. Also cause art. Thoughts? Also, maybe this could be some sort of announcement so more people can work on it o3o

What do you think of the mini-events plug?

What do you think of having a little 50/50 fundraiser thing? I don't know where we're at with funds, but there's no such thing as too many funds.

At the moment, I'm not sure if I have anything specifically that needs your attention, but I think you're in charge of the plot committee and I didn't want you to be left out <3
A Monthly Newsletter is a great Idea. We used to do something similar in the past. It was a newsletter for the guild to have everyone be up to date on what's happening in the guild. It sounds like your thinking of doing in the forums or something? It could work, but I don't imagine it'll be easy on you. Advertising the events and fundraisers we have going on in such a way is a good idea, and I think a 50/50 raffle would be good as well. Though you should check with Hope when you have the full contest flushed out. It's a little too easy to go wrong with 50/50 raffles in my opinion. xD

I think this is sorely needed tbh. If you need help with mini comic strips I'm happy to help. I'd like to hold off on planning the comic for the event until after May 1st though just so I'm not stretching myself too thin.

I was definitely thinking of putting it in the forums. I was thinking that if people see what we're up to and what we're planning, they might be more likely to get involved.

The main thing I would need from you is help getting a 50/50 set up. I've run a couple 50/50 raffles in my Ministry of Magic guild, so I know the basics.

Yay! Ideally I'd like to get the newsletter out before the mini-event, but if that's not realistic, I'm cool with pushing it back. o3o

Hm. What if we had some small, b/w 4 panel strips at the end of each newsletter, with some kind of relation to the ball or the guild? That way we could have a different artist do a strip each month, and it would also mean we'd get something out there before the mini-event, etc.
