xxx»» Aster has always tended towards taking things both seriously and personally. If you don't know her well, it can be hard to joke around with her, both because of her resting b***h face and her swiftness to take offense. One of the easiest ways to immediately get on her bad side is to try to tell her to A, smile more, or B, lighten up, since she's not typically inclined to do either. However, she is much more lighthearted and open around family and friends, to the point where mere acquaintances probably wouldn't recognize her at a party.
DRIVEN
xxx»» Aster has always had a great deal of ambition and a surprising work ethic, given her rather spoiled and coddled upbringing. While her parents did indulge her whims too much, they also taught her that she could do anything, if she put her mind to it and worked hard, and that lesson has served her well. She doesn't give up easily and tends to throw herself into her passions headfirst, determined to succeed or die trying. Or at least burn herself out. She's never been good at knowing when to throw the towel in.
PRIDEFUL
xxx»» Aster is a very proud person whose feathers can be, at times, easily ruffled. She thinks highly of herself, but insists that it's not truly arrogance so long as she doesn't overestimate her abilities to the detriment of others. To be fair, she does walk the walk as well as talk the talk, but it certainly didn't earn her many friends growing up. Aster has never been one to back down from a challenge or let an insult go unanswered, and while she'll never have to worry about anyone else walking all over her, she can completely trample over more reserved or meek people.
SHORT-TEMPERED
xxx»» Aster has always had a hair trigger temper, and while she can usually keep her cool in public for the sake of saving face, that doesn't mean she's not going to go home and punch some inanimate objects later. She had a habit of getting into fist-fights as a child, and then verbal spats as a teen, most of which she will freely admit she either started or overreacted in response to. Aster is the sort of person who just doesn't know when to keep her head down and hold her tongue.
COMPETITIVE
xxx»» Aster is a naturally competitive person who often views the people around her as rivals, even friends. She can come across as very aggressive and somewhat abrasive in her interactions due to her desire to be the best at literally everything. Even something as simple as walking down the street will have her pushing herself to outpace everyone else. Part of it is a desire for recognition, part of it is spite, and the other part of it... well, that's just Aster.

xxx»» Aster has never hesitated to say exactly what's on her mind, no matter the circumstances or occasion. In general her tough and often pushy exterior does hide a more compassionate interior, but Aster believes no one is exempt from criticism, even the people she cares about or likes. She quickly gets frustrated with people who won't say what they mean to her face, and has very little patience for gossip or passive aggressiveness, if only because she's the exact opposite of that.

CHILDHOOD
xxx»» Aster was born and raised in Dorset by an older couple named Bartholomew and Cecelia Frey, who met each other in the waiting room of a local dentist. Love at first sight and pearly whites led to the two marrying just six months later, and Aster was born a year after that. As a spoiled only child, Aster was used to getting whatever she liked, and her bratty attitude didn't win her many friends in school. She also had a habit of getting into messes that seemed to... well, 'magically' resolve themselves. The Freys chalked it up to luck that Aster had never broken anything, with all the running and jumping around she did. Aster met her first and best friend, Pamela Gautreaux, just a couple of years before both girls learned they were witches. While the two had hoped they were X-Men instead, witches wasn't that bad, in comparison.
SCHOOL YEARS
xxx»» Aster was sorted into Gryffindor and went onto to have an eventful seven years at Hogwarts. She and Pam narrowly avoided a wizarding terrorist attack at the end of their first year, and went onto to get into even more trouble after sneaking into the Forbidden Forest their second year. Aster tried out for the Gryffindor quidditch team and later went on to play beater for it. She and Pam began to date their fourth year, declaring themselves 'best friend girlfriends'. To her surprise, Aster made prefect her fifth year, and of course abused the privilege. When she graduated, while she admitted she was not up to pro quidditch player standards, she did have plans to become a referee.
ADULTHOOD
xxx»» After landing her dream job Aster eventually moved out of the house and in with Pam. Her girlfriend proposed before she got the chance to, to her delighted ire. The two married a few months before Aster's twenty second birthday, with plans to eventually start a family of their own.
