║▌│█│║▌║││█║▌│║║█║█║▌│█║▌│║║█║ ΣЯΣϴϨ ȽɄ║▌│█│║▌║││█║▌│║║█║█║▌│█║▌│║║█║  Ereos hadn't been too busy, there was ever very little to do in Drowwood. Paperwork was always on the low-side as well beyond the rare occasions someone was found dead. So he chose to spend his time in his office playing his koto peacefully until he received a call from his brother.
He answered it, expecting the worse as usual as he sighed. "What happened this time Kries?"
"What, I can't call you for no reason? I just wanna talk to my brother!" He glanced at the phone in his hand suspiciously.
"You rarely ever call me without a reason."
"My reason is I want to check up on you. Maybe set a date to hang out? It's been forever since I've seen you!"
He was still suspicious of this as he listened, before he gave his answer. "Alright. When?"
"Before we get to that, I have to tell you what just happened to me today."
He inwardly sighed at that. "....What Happened?...." He listened to his brother go on about Jonah the mechanic and the teasing he had received from him. He was listening the entire time, his phone now balancing on his shoulder and he brushed his fingers across several strings of his koto, not playing it loud enough for it to be noticeable during his brothers ranting. "-and now I'm here, feeling unloved. Rejected! You love me, right Ereos?"
He paused his silent playing to give his brother an answer. "Of course I love you Kries. I would have hung up if I didn't."
"Yaaaaaay! At least somebody appreciates me!"
"I'm sure plenty people appreciate you."
"Awwwww, I'm sure plenty of people appreciate you too Ereos~!" He doubted that, but at least it seemed people respected him.
Before Ereos could make a remark about that, was when the call had gone from normal to strange. "I have to go, someone just-" He blinked hearing his brother cut himself off, listening still since he had forgotten to hang up just yet. "We're closed- Hey! What's wrong with you?- Hey, get up!- Oh my god!- W-What happened!? What do I do!?- Why are you bleeding!?-" He was still listening before Kries seemed to remember he was there.
"Ereos! Ereos what do I do!? What do I do- oh god, she's got blood on her! She's bleeding! What- I can't- Tell me what to do, I don't know what to do!" He could hear him sobbing into the phone. "She's gonna die! She's gonna die and it's my fault! I'm a murderer- this is what I get! I'm gonna go to jaaaaaaail! I'm too pretty for prison! I'm gonna have to sell my body for protection and be somebody's b***h."
Ereos frowned and moved his koto from his lap, to allow him to move to his feet without damaging it. He tightened his grip against his phone. "Kries. Where are you?" His tone had darkened with concern, this was bad and he would need to leave quickly if he were going to make it to Cleka in time to help him.
"I'm in Siren's Song!" He nodded, forgetting he couldn't see it for a moment.
"I'll be there soon. Try to remain calm." If his brother panicked any further it would cause him problems. He would need to travel by the river to get there. It wouldn't be that long if he swam fast enough.
He hung up, and stepped out of his office with a sigh, looking to his receptionist he let Windsong know he was going to be out for awhile due to a family emergency, any important calls she was supposed to write down and the usual information that came with her job.
He stepped out of the building shaking his head.

I'm singing this for you alone
 Ereos walked into City Hall, adjusting his long sleeves with a soft sigh. It had been rather peaceful this morning so he had been enjoying the long walk. He still thought over what had occurred while he was helping his brother, relieved he had at least calmed down.
Still, with as much blood there was that they had to clean up. It was rather concerning; he moved through the halls, directing a nod towards his receptionist before he slipped into his office with a soft sigh. How long will these peaceful days last? There is no telling what is being planned where our eyes cannot see. Ereos moved over to a window, and gently opened a curtain to stare out it. All the same, to see the city in such a serene state without mention of any new deaths; perhaps there is hope still able to bloom. If we can maintain peace, that is enough for me.
There was another soft sigh, and he opened the rest of the curtains to welcome the morning light into his office before moving to his desk and getting to work.
