Past:
(being told from another character's POV) He lives in the forest surrounding the castle, by a sparkling pool that seems to always be reflecting the full moon. He told me once that he remembers having a family, a real home, and a real village. It might have just been his imagination giving him something he deeply longed for: a reason of existence. He told me about his scar, how it was the consequence of selling his soul. His tattoos each represent something. The harshly scrawled 'D' on his right palm came from his run-in with some pirates. The crosses on his wrists to signify his almost-salvation and freedom. The bands around his ankles to show his eternal enslavement to his "master". He constantly inquired about my life, how it was to be a human and know that at any moment my life could be taken away, how it was to eat, to sleep. He always had a smile on, but his eyes defied him. He wanted to exist.
Shirohanna was born in the Forgotten Forest. His father was a human trader who disappeared before he was born. His mother was a water elemental. Once he was born, the god of the Forest appeared. His mother pleaded for the god to take care of Shiro, as her life force was slowly weakening. The god agreed, taking the newborn child and disappearing. The god bound the child to the forest, markings like tattoos appearing on the boy as he grew, ecoming more and more attached to the forest. His ears and tail sprouted when he had encountered an imp at a young age. The forest god was unable to remove them, causing Shiro to have this unique feature the rest of his life.
As Shiro grew, he began wandering more and more through his deep forest home. One day, he discovered that the forest ended. Outside the trees, he observed a little village, an ancient castle at the far edge of the clearing. The forest wrapped around the entire village, isolating it from the rest of the world. Every day, he ventured closer and closer to the castle, drawn to it by some unknown force.
He discovered an opening in the castle (a balony) one day. Intriguied by the soft singing, he climbed up. Sitting on the railing of the balcony, he listened to a pale man humming as he was reading. Day after day, he returned to that balcony to listen to the man. This was the first human he had seen since...ever. Only later does he discover this human is actualy a creature of the dark.
After getting to know the vampyre, named Sebastion, Shiro had the urge to run away with him. So one day, they did just that. Taking refuge in Clearcrest, they began a new life.

Abilites:
Changing Forms: Mainly just changing between humanoid form and different cat forms. Can't happen if he is bound in a way that will harm him when he shifts, or if he is too echausted (in which case he stays in whatever form he was in until he gets rest).
Hunger of the Dark: Induced when his back is touched along the claw marks, becomes entirely unaware of his actions and becomes a beast set to devour the world. Wears off after a few hours (or after he has eaten every living thing in sight). Can be deactivated by Sebastion (and Sebastion alone) grabbing his hands.
Venom Fangs: Shiro's bite has a slight chance to inflict a poison like effect on people of his choosing (so he doesn't accidentally poison Sebby). Chance is very small, but is usually boosted toward people he has a deep hatred for.
