This is a solo RP for xX Green Tea Tree Xx's Flidais. Please don't post unless you've been invited to do so. This RP is going to be for back plotting and expand a little on Flidais' past.

She loved her family dearly, though she had always felt rather sheltered from her herd in her parent's care. Flidais had often asked questions that challenged her herd's leadership, though she did it in the privacy between her mother and father. Surely they could explain things in such a way that it wouldn't leave her perplexed and wondering why the herd was run the way it was. Even as a filly she had been incredibly curious, and she knew now that she was older that her parents had brushed it off as childish whimsy, thinking she would grow out of it.

She wandered about a small group of flowers as she reminisced of her fillyhood. Looking back on it, the herd elders had treated her in a similar fashion, brushing off her stray comments with a smiling face and a tone in their voices that was soothingly sweet and reassuring, trying to correct her "mistaken" perception of the herd. She was young, still learning and finding her place within their ranks, and the elders and teachers that she had grown under had brushed her off. Flidais' brows creased as she strolled along, stepping carefully so as not to damage the flowers she had come to enjoy when she needed somewhere quiet to collect herself. How is everyone so complacent?

Things within her herd were not all sunshine and roses. Flidais was sure there were others who saw how unjust the elders were being. Those who had little to offer the herd in terms of skills or strength were often given less to eat, were told to rest in the outskirts of their territory where it was less safe and the guardians patrolled more infrequently, they were given tasks that were less rewarding and it didn't sit well with her. It frustrated her that the other members of her herd that were in good standing with the elders refused to see the injustice, refused to even try and question the morals of the so-called "benevolent" leader that they had.

It had been a long while since she had seen the herd's leader, he was often hidden in the privacy of his own secluded resting area that was guarded. His bloodline had certainly corrupted with power over time, from what she knew the Cerynei that lead them was the twelfth in his family's line to inherit leadership. Flidais looked up to the blue sky above, solemn expression taking root, and she sighed softly as she remembered her mother's words. It's best not to stir up trouble. Why cause waves and rock the boat?

"But it's not fair to them... One Cerynei shouldn't be able to impart this much fear in everyone." Her lips pursed and she turned her head down to continue walking a long. Flidais knew her family certainly wasn't the most favored, her mother and father had never found their way within the herd leader's inner circle, but they weren't treated terribly and living in the outskirts. If it weren't for the fact that standing up to the stallion that controlled their daily lives would negatively impact her family, the scarlet mare was sure she would one day find her way in front of him, in front of everyone, and she would challenge him. Her herd wouldn't be able to continue on underneath a tyrant.
