- ■ SOCIABLE Jess is extremely extroverted; she's always up for a chat. She enjoys parties and other social events, and anything that gives her a chance to meet new people. Seeing as her job doesn't necessarily involve a lot of interaction with other people, Jess is usually more than ready to talk in her free time. She's extremely talkative and rarely at a loss for words, and also quite witty, given the chance.
■ KIND Jess, for all her more petty tendencies, is honestly quite kind. She's friendly and generous towards perfect strangers, and is more considerate towards other people now that she's matured. She genuinely cares about other peoples's problems and is more than willing to let other people rant to her or just talk about their feelings. Jess believes in being extremely open and honest with her feelings, and encourages it in others.
■ GOOD HUMORED Jess is easygoing and approachable; she tends to put other people at ease, though she would argue that it might have a lot to do with her combined short stature and baby face that keeps getting her mistaken for a teenager. She takes thing in stride and is able to laugh at herself as much as she laughs at others; Jess is far from easily offended and often very self deprecating.
■ COMPETITIVE Jess has always had a competitive streak in almost anything. Unfortunately, that never seemed to apply to her grades in school, but she does tend to compare herself to others and their accomplishments quite a bit. This can lead to unnecessary jealousy, as she sometimes feels as though she is always letting herself down, but her good nature usually wins out over this, and she tries her best to be a graceful loser.
■ OVERBEARING Jess can be a bit smothering, especially when it comes to the people she cares deeply for. She can border on domineering at times, and is very used to taking the lead in most situations, even when she probably shouldn't for the sake of everyone else. She won't hesitate to point out to others when she disagrees with what they're saying or doing, and her opinion is at times... less than helpful.
■ NOSY Jess is extremely nosy; she was a curious, questioning child and is an even more curious adult. She's gotten far more subtle with her attempts to interrogate others over the years, but will still fly into 'pepper you with questions mode', particularly when excited or upset. Not being aware of something that everyone else is clearly aware of grates on her nerves, and the best way to infuriate her is to leave her out of the loop.

- CHILDHOOD Jessamine was born to Cora and Garrett Walsh, a pureblood healer and a muggle doctor, respectively, as the second oldest of three at the time, preceded by her older brother Uriel, adopted at birth a year before, and followed fifteen minutes later by her fraternal twin brother, Tobias. The siblings grew up in Evesham, and their family was made bigger with the additional adoptions Eleazar and Althea, and the Walsh children's biological cousin, Violante. Jess considered herself close with all of her siblings, especially her twin, but often felt overlooked in the loving mess of her family, and was particularly excited to attend Hogwarts and be known as herself and not just 'another Walsh kid'.
SCHOOL YEARS
- FIRST YEAR Jess was sorted into Hufflepuff, to the surprise of no one, while Toby was sorted into Gryffindor. The two were disappointed at being put in different houses, but quickly got over it as they settled into life at Hogwarts. Uriel went into a coma that year as well, which admittedly put a bit of a damper on things, but seeing as all was well by the end of the year, Jess felt like she couldn't complain much.
SECOND YEAR The most memorable parts of Jess's first year were her friends finding a body in the dungeons of the castle, and the infamous Festival, at which she and Toby witnessed their father being brutally tortured by a vampire. While he did recover, Jess had nightmares for weeks afterward.
THIRD YEAR Jess's friend Terren tragically died in a house fire, their quidditch team captain ended up committing suicide, and she ended up seeker for the Hufflepuff team, taking over Terren's position. They proceeded to lose every game, deeply shaking her confidence and sense of worth.
FOURTH YEAR Jess did a bit better in Quidditch, and a talk with Gypsy after a crying jag in the girls loo helped her to move past a few of her issues.
FIFTH YEAR Jess was made a prefect her fifth year, to her surprise, having never been the best student or much of a rule follower. Regardless, she embraced the position, and the fact that her friends all seemed to have paired up in romantic relationships, Gypsy dating Jer, and her twin dating Ronna. She did about as expected on her OWLs. That following summer her little sister, Thea, died under mysterious circumstances.
SIXTH YEAR Jess was asked to the Yule Ball that year by an underclassman she was friends with, Dorian. She sensed he had a crush on her and was both flattered and uncertain of it, not wanting to make a move if it was just a passing thing on his end. She also discovered her animagus form, a hummingbird.
SEVENTH YEAR Jess overheard Dori discussing being a werewolf on the train with his triplet, Julius, as well as discussing his feelings for her. Predictably, she was more focused on the feelings bit than the werewolf bit, and by the end of the year the two had confessed their feelings towards one another and were dating. Jess also discovered the truth about Thea's death; she'd been murdered by Eleazar's biological father, who had abducted him the previous summer before he managed to escape. She reluctantly went along with her younger brother's plan to become a vampire in an effort to protect himself and their family, fearing he might turn to suicide if she tried to stop him. On the plus side, Hufflepuff did very well that year, winning both cups, to her delight.
POST GRADUATION After graduation Jess became a spell inventor, which seemed to her the logical choice, as she'd always had an affinity for charms, and wanted to do something creative. She became engaged to Dori after he graduated as well, and they married in the spring of 2033.
