a play by play thread where you brag about pokemon you encounter on a certain route.
The current trainer I am working at is just south of Goldenrod city.
Its my lvl 23 Krabby vs a lvl 10 drowzee
Experience gained: 145
Same route and a rematch. Drowzee can have pound, disable, confusion, hypnosis. 145 xp earned.
Same route, encountered a level 10 male abra. experience earned: 107
Same route and its the level 10 female drowzee for a third time. 145 xp earned.
Same route, rematch against the level 10 female drowzee. It used disable on my bubblebeam and then hypnosis. Now its used pound. And confusion was its last move.
So, the female level 10 drowzee I am facing knows:
1. disable - 20 pp
2. Hypnosis - 20 pp
3. Confusion - 25 pp
4. Pound - 35 pp
This could be a long battle.

Route 34 (same route as before)
A level 12 female drowzee is facing off against my level 23 Krabby.
This drowzee knows:
1. Pound - 35 pp
2. Hypnosis - 20 pp

4. ???
174 xp gained
Level 11 male rattata knows:
1. tail whip
2. focus energy

XP gained: 89
Krabby leveled up to 24! I have Krabby knowing these moves:
1. Leer -30 pp
2. metal claw - 35 pp
3. Bubblebeam - 20 pp
4. Mud shot - 15 pp
At best it can do 100 moves.
Switched to my level 23 Pidgeotto. It knows these moves:
1. Twister - 20 pp
2. fly - 15
3. gust - 35
4. quick attack - 30
It too can do a max of 100 moves.
Its first opponent on the route I am on is...
A level 10 ditto. Ditto is genderless.
This ditto knows transform as its ability.

Opponent two is... level 10 male abra. He knows teleport only. Best defeat it in one shot.

Now I have my level 23 poligwag levling. She needs 205 xp to level up.

Route 29, trying to level 3 level 3 pokemon.
Zuzu is a level 3 female zubat that needs 23 xp.
Her first encounter is a level 2 male sentret.
Zuzu knows Leech life and shadow ball.
Shadow ball will have no effect on Sentret.
Sentret's first move is foresight, but Zuzu is not a ghost pokemon. Then again with foresight, maybe ghost moves will hit.
Nope.
Okay, Sentret's other move is scratch.
Zuzu earned...16 xp.
Zuzu needs 7 xp.
Her second encounter is a level 2 male sentret, oh...a rematch! Remember, only use leech life, Zuzu. There, level 4 for Zuzu! 52 xp before level 5. However, I must change pokemon in order to get the other level 3s to level 4.
So, next up will be...Sylvio Hoothoot.

Sylvio is a level 3 male hoot-hoot with only 27 xp left before leveling. He knows Tackle, growl, and foresight.
His first encounter is a level 2 female pidgey. Best use tackle on her. She only knows tackle.
He earned 15 xp from that battle and needs a healing. Good, I had a potion in stock. Now a level 3 female pidgey is in Sylvio's way. He needs 12 xp, so winning this should bring him to level 4.
Using growl helped. Now he is level 4.
Now I am going to use a level 4 male spinarak named Widow. Widow needs 27 xp before leveling to 4, and he knows poison sting and string shot. Best use poison sting.
His first encounter is a level 3 female pidgey who only knows tackle. Bug moves such as string shot won't do much since pidgey is a normal flying type. Birds can easily get out of sticky strings.
Widow gained 23 xp from that battle and only needs 4 xp before he levels.
This time its a level 3 male pidgey. I am going to switch pokemon to my pidegotto to lessen the xp earned, but at the same time, save Widow from getting thrashed.
By doing that, Widow gained 11 xp and leveled to 4. Next up is Zuzu to level her to 5.

Iam in Violet city using a medium sized fishing rod so that Sylvio Hoot hoot can gain experience with whatever I catch. Aha! I have found a level 20 female Magikarp. Sylvio chose pluck and Magikarp responded with a tackle. Magikarp dealt 5 dmg to Sylvio. Sylvio uses a second pluck, which Magikarp splashed thus daring me to take my best shot. Okay, third pluck, which magikarp dealt another 5 dmg. So, Magikarp is alternating between tackle then she uses splash. Hmm...interesting.
Okay, so in all, Sylvio took 15 dmg against that magikarp, which is about how many xp he got too. Magikarp are not worthy foes.
This time I landed a level 20 Poliwag. I best switch to Yuya Meganium who will use the super effective grass bullets against the poliwag. Sylvio and Yuya gained 110 xp each for that fight.
Okay, so I am going to continue fishing and switching to Yuya during battle and see how long it takes to level up Sylvio.

Found a level 5 zubat in union cave. Male. I have my level 35 gyrados going up against it. I will use ice fang. 38 xp earned.
Facing off against fisherman ralph. He is using a level 40 seaking. I am using a level 35 gyrados. I used dragon rage. He used flail. I used dragon rage. He used waterfall. I used dragon rage and koed him. 1456 xp earned.
