It's a bird!!
It's a plane!!
It's . . .
Superman!

Universe: DC
Alignment: Good. I mean REALLY GOOD!
Profile:
"In the endless reaches of the universe there once existed a planet known as Krypton, a planet that burned like a green star in the distant heavens. There, civilization was far advanced and it brought forth a race of supermen, whose mental and physical powers were developed to the absolute peak of human perfection. But, there came a day when giant quakes threatened to destroy Krypton forever. One of the planet's leading scientists, sensing the approach of doom, placed his infant son in a small rocket ship and sent it hurtling in the direction of the Earth just as Krypton exploded! The rocket ship sped through star studded space, landing safely on Earth with its precious burden, Krypton's sole survivor. A passing motorist found the uninjured child and took it to an orphanage. As the years went by and the child grew to maturity he found himself possessed of amazing physical powers. Rendering him . . .
Faster than a speeding bullet!! More powerful than a locomotive!! Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound, the infant of Krypton is now the man of steel, Superman! To best be in a position to use his amazing powers in a never ending battle for truth and justice, Superman has assumed the disguise of Clark Kent, mild mannered reporter for a great metropolitan newspaper."
~Superman (1941)
The
Real Name: Clark Kent.
Physical Description / Image:

Personality: As Clark Kent, a mild-mannered, nice young man working as a reporter for the Daily Planet, Metropolis' number-one Newspaper.
However as Superman, he's brave, bold and ready to roll against any adversary in his path.
Powers & Abilities:
Extreme Speed: While not as fast as The Flash, challenging the Man of Steel to a foot race would be a rough decision.
X-Ray Vision: Used in "The Mechanical Monsters", it rather speaks for itself.
Strength: More Powerful than a locomotive. He once pulled the Billion Dollar Limited into its destination when the locomotive exploded from a bomb. He's punched out the laser fired by a Mad Scientist and bent the laser gun into a PRETZEL to save the day. I'm also not gonna go into what he did to the Japanese Navy, but he can wreak havoc!
Flight: Given in the second half of the shorts, Supes was granted the power of flight after animators found it hard to do the "leap in a single bound" idea.
Bulletproof: Your guns have no power here. Just sayin'.
Weaknesses:
Kryptonite. The metal from his home planet, the types of Kryptonite in existence can render the Man of Steel into just a man . . . or worse!
Family & Relationships: Lois Lane: Fellow reporter and girlfriend to Clark.
The Justice League: Prior to returning to the Fortress of Solitude to rest, Superman was part of the Justice League, which featured Batman, the Flash, a Green Lantern, Wonder Woman and other. However, with what had gone on since he was away, who was around?!
Jor-El: Clark Kent aka Kal-El's father from the planet Krypton.
Mission: To fight the never-ending battle for truth and justice!
This Character will be played...: I don't recall how Superman was played in the mainline RP, however, I'll be playing Supes like he was portrayed in the 1940s shorts directed by Max and Dave Fleischer (better known for Betty Boop and Popeye). I have, however, updated some of Supes' ways to fit with the mythos we know now (Kryptonite being an example) but I will remain as true to the original shorts as possible. Even in Bud Coller's voice acting. Clark Kent will be in BLACK, BOLD writing, like my other human characters. Superman will be in BLUE, BOLD writing, like how Coller would keep a higher-pitched voice for Clark Kent, but deepen it (often in mid-sentence) when he became Superman.
EXAMPLE:
Clark knew there wasn't much time! The mad scientist sent out a warning throughout Metropolis. Midnight there would be utter destruction if the madman had his way. That laser beam could cut through bridges, destroy buildings.
And to make matters worse . . . Lois hadn't returned from her flight out to interview the man.
Clark nodded, the other reporters and Chief Harrington were abuzz in what to do . . . but he wasn't.
"Hmm . . . this sounds rough! Looks like a job for Superman!" he said to himself and darted into the supply closet. He had to hurry up and change into costume before anyone got a glimpse of him!
