 Alaka'i stood at the train station waiting for arrival. "Don't worry, Mom. You'll see me again soon enough." He promised with a loving smile."I know I know... just... stay true to yourself and have a happy heart, Alaka'i." She encouraged with a tear and a kiss. "Now-- repeat to me everything you need to know one more time.""As soon as I get to shore, put on the swim trunks and check in at the pier where my host family is waiting for me. Do everything my host family asks of me. Get good grades. Be true, be happy." He listed as the train pulled in. "Love you, mom." He said, giving her a kiss before boarding."LOVE YOU, TOO!!! BE CAREFUL!!! MAKE GOOD CHOICES!!!" With that, she waived goodbye to her son.
