Personality: Often Cynical though not entirely apathetic, will often speak harshly even in pleasant conversation. Though not specifically crude, often comes off as rough and intimidating, until one adjusts to his demeanor.
Bio: Originally a human, he was born as the 4th child yet the 1st son of the WarLord of recently acquired territory, and was brought up as a young noble until the winter of his 10th year, during which he contracted a terrible illness. Fearing the death of his only son, the Lord took his child to the local healer with hopes of saving young Rhys, who spent several days under the healers care before finally succumbing to his illness. Outraged at the death of his son, the Lord sentenced the healer to be stripped and left to freeze in the tundra. Freezing and bound, the healer desperate for salvation called out to the demons, offering the dead child's soul for their powers, but the demon he awoke was none other than the child himself, who saved the healer in exchange for the freedom of his soul. Rhys now a Strigoi, returned home to a family in mourning, and unaware of the change that had taken place in their child. In the coming months the family would grow weaker, their faces thinning and skin losing color as Rhys grew healthy once more.
Their deaths came as the anniversary of Rhy's return dawned, leaving the unnaturally aged child the sole suspect to their mysterious deaths. The guard blamed him for the deaths, though when the time for his execution arose they found that he could not be killed by any conventional means. Unable to kill him, they sold him into slavery to a traveling group of mercenaries with the promise that he would be taken to the prison of the damned. There he spent 60 years, surviving endless torture at the hands of the controlling Templars under the claim of repentance to save his soul and return his humanity, only to fight for his very survival against the numerous other demons and monsters imprisoned there. It was then that he was freed from his bondage, having been declared a successful "transformation" back to humanity. He has since wandered the world as a scholar, attempting to make the most of his age-less-ness.
