Tristan sat in the park, sighing a little. It was a beautiful day out. The sun was shining, the sky was a lovely blue, and the few clouds that could be see were pearly white and wispy. The temperature was a bit nippy as it was the middle of winter, but there wasn't much of a wind so you could feel the sun's warmth. People were taking advantage of the nice weather. Families were spread out here and here with children running around, their shrieking laughter filling the air. People were walking paths. There were several couples, but many groups seemed to be just friends, chatting ad laughing.Tristan's heart wasn't in it. For Valentine's Day his fiance had decided to celebrate by dumping him. He should have seen it coming, of course. He actually had. It still hadn't prepared him for the reality of it all. Well, he and his fiance had been going out for a while now, so it was only natural he'd feel the gap in his life where she had been. He supposed he would eventually get over it. It wasn't like there was a true hole in his heart or anything; that would have ended in death, which might have been nice since he wouldn't be sitting here having to rummage through old memories. Ah, he was so glad no one in his family could read thoughts. He didn't mean he wanted to die or anything. His train of thought could just be morbid sometimes.

Jam sighed under her breath, muttering about the cold as she flipped the hood of her jacket up. Whose idea was it for her to go outside again? Oh, right. Ben. Ugh. For a worrywart who rarely left the house himself, he had a lot of nerve telling her she should probably go out. But she had a few errands to run and the day was kind of nice... She probably shouldn't send all day cooped up inside. Well, all day as in all the days of the week. Tomorrow had total hermit-tude on the schedule.
