Ageless, immortal, and bearing the head of the deadly Gorgon, Aegis is supposedly the ancient shield of a goddess from a far off land. Having been passed down for centuries, from owner to owner, it has seen countless battles and received not a scratch, proving its worth.
With a blade resembling silver but several times stronger than steel, Silva seems an ordinary sword, but is quite a sight to behold in combat. It is thought that a bit of the magic of each owner goes into Silva when it is passed on. Able to take on several forms at the owner's will, this blade is very versatile in combat.
For storage convenience they may take the form of a pair of small unassuming bangles on the users wrists.

Personality:
He is very protective of friends and loved ones, and is usually a fun guy, but can be serious when necessary. A bit of a white knight, he often finds himself in fights not his own when trying to protect others. Will sometimes overreact to things he feels aren't right. Is quick to apologize when he realizes he's in the wrong. Will sometimes quote heroes, songs, movies, or other people when he feels he himself cannot come up with his own way of saying what he feels
Background/Biography:
The youngest of three brothers, Mark was only unique in that he was capable of using magic. This led to some slight jealousy from his brothers, but his mother soon straightened that out.
His single mother was a nurse and occasionally had a hard time making ends meet, so he ran a small paper route in the early mornings to earn money for books and his school lunch. This work ethic and his grandfather's words of wisdom kept his spirits high and became his motto: "There isn't a thing in this world you can't do if you put your mind and heart into it!"
At 10, he became fascinated with lightning magic after being struck by a stray bolt during a storm and not being affected. What made it? Why did he not get hurt? Why him in the first place? These questions drove his curiosity, but sadly magic was forbidden at school.
It was around a year later that he met his best friend Ryan Grayson and his sister Serah. After Mark helped Ryan beat some of his usual bullies, they became best of friends. Often the three of them would be seen spending time together after school with the two boys talking about magic and coming up with ideas for spells. (It is often believed that this is why the two have some of the same lightning magic spells) After Ryan had left the school to join Blue Pegasus, Mark was adamant that they stay friends and gave him his number.
It wasn't until he had heard about Serah's disappearance that he really became unshakable in studying magic. While still forbidden to learn about it in school, he would study magic at home in his spare time until he graduated. He had to help Ryan find her. After all, he would do the same for him.
But first he would have to join Blue Pegasus...

-Lightning Body-
The user covers their body in lightning, greatly increasing their speed, and, effectively, turning them into an actual lightning bolt, thereby granting them great flexibility and maneuverability. The increased speed can be used to greatly increase the impact of punches and kicks

Depending on what the user needs of it, the shield has been known to take on size from anywhere between a greatshield to a buckler. It has also been shown to project an energy field if the user channels their magic into it. The size and strength of this field is only as strong as the user.

In its base form it is a simple double edged hand and a half longsword. Mark often uses this form, and channels his magics through to make it either a sword that can burn through anything, a sword that can stun his opponents, or in the case of his telepathy, cause mild to moderate hallucinations.
As Runesave, it takes upon a more rapier style form with what appears to be rushing wind coming from the guard, and blending seemlessly with the blade. In this form it is incapable of cutting physical objects, but instead is able to cut that which is not physical; such as temporaily cutting a mage off from their magic making them a normal person for 3 rounds; or cutting a magic seal or barrier.
In its Sunderstrike form it takes on the form of a morning star mace, with drills instead of spikes. These drills can extend outward up to two feet and are known to catch many opponents off guard. Mark often channels his fire magic into this form so as to have explosions on each strike.
When the Silfarion form is taken, it appears as a lance with armor covering the arm giving the appearance that it is part of said arm. As Silfarion, the user is said to be capable of reaching incredible speeds allwoing the user to make several attacks in a mere second. The flaw to this form is its lack of offensive power and ability to make sharp turns. Its speed is often used in conjunction with requipping to another form to take advantage of said speed in a power attack. This tactic however can be taxing on the user if they do it too often and do not have an ample supply of magic power.
When in use as The Pack, the sword takes on a more falchion style blade with a wolf's head on the pommel. In this form the user is able to summon a pack of wolves to attack, subdue, or using his telepathy, stay in communication while they run a head and scout out an area or target. As he is now Mark is able to summon up to 3 wolves. The fewer he conjurs, the stronger the summoned ones are. By channeling either fire or lightning into his sword he can change the element of the wolf pack, turning them into explosive summons.
The Dark Deep is a mysterious shortsword with an eye at the hilt and a swarm of tentacles that wrap around the users arm. With this blade the user can summon denizens of the deep to attack, attack with a water whip blade, summon a tidal wave to crash into their opponents, or summon a dark swarm of tentacles that drag the foe away, often never to be seen again. Though some have been spared, none of the survivors dare say what they saw in the dark. Mark doesn't often use this blade because as he puts it: "The longer I use this blade, the more compelled I am to serve it. I don't like what it says."
