The taste in his mouth was bitter. A little like blood, yeah, but that was likely from his split lip. Or was it from when he bit the side of his mouth when the third opponent teamed up with the other two to try and crowd him down? He couldn't quite recall... Regardless, Adrian was in a pretty foul mood as he was slipped 'his share' of the 'winnings' from the night. (He never actually requested to be paid - he'd have fought for free - but the guys running the fights were good people despite their profession. Not to mention his fights generally produced three times the amount of revenue so they could afford to be philanthropic.)
He huffed, nodding at one of the facilitator's gruff advice to 'go get yourself checked out'. Ah, if one of these blood thirsty jerks was worried about him, then he must look pretty rough. Other than the pounding in his head and the vague echoes of pain in various other parts of his body, he was numb. In all honesty, he couldn't remember the last time he really felt anything. The hybrid slipped out the gray steel doors, huffing out a harsh breath when the cold hit him. Exposure to the elements seemed to aggravate the various injuries he'd sustained in the fight, and he froze at the sudden sensation. Chuckling, Adrian leaned back against the bricks of the alley. "Maybe I should think about-" he cut himself off, because talking hurt and thoughts hurt worse. So he closed his eyes and enjoyed focusing selfishly only on his physical pains.DarkHikari (Hopefully this is a good enough starter? <3)

Aidan sighed as he pushed his way out of the crowd and made for the door. The environment was hot and stifling, and the smell of blood was starting to make his stomach turn. To say that he wasn't a fighter was an understatement. But he still found himself down here once a week to keep an eye on his oldest sibling. No one asked him too, but he did it none the less. And he knew that their mother was secretly grateful. While she loved all of her children equally, everyone knew that if she had a favorite it was Hunter. But his brother was in a good mood tonight and Aidan knew that he'd be fine on his own. So with a nod in his brothers direction signalling his intent -and an accenting nod back to let the younger boy know that he'd been understood- he left the building for the night. As the cold crisp air hit him he let out a gasp, both shocked and somewhat pleased. The air flushed his senses of the smell and taste of blood, replacing it with the pollution of his surroundings. It wasn't the best trade, but he'd take it. He opened his eyes -he hadn't realized that he'd closed them even- and looked around. Leaving ahead of Hunter meant that he had some free time to kill and he wondered how he might fill the time. His trail of thoughts derailed into a wrecked pile when he noticed a guy about his age leaning on a nearby wall. "F-cking s**t! Are you okay!?" Without thinking his actions through -or thinking at all really- he rushed to the other's side.

Adrian had his eyes closed and was breathing slowly, concentrating on the the slow, sweetly stinging sensation in his chest from the simple action. Was another rib broken? Or just bruised? He couldn't tell. He sighed, cracking open his eyes to glance down at his chest, mildly surprised at the amount of blood that had managed to get there. (Not all of it was his, of course, but a large amount was probably from the a*****e in the second round that had flicked out a switchblade in the second round and managed to swipe him on the side - which, of course, had gotten him forcibly ejected from the building and banned from fighting there ever again. People came to see a beat-down, after all, not a murder.) The hybrid frowned, wincing when the facial expression tugged on a split lip he hadn't realized he had, and fingered the large gash in his shirt. Perhaps he should start fighting without shirts - this was the third one in a row that had been ruined. It would also make it hard for the others to keep their hands on him...
Startled from his own thoughts by the sound of someone's voice, Adrian looked up and over at the incoming intruder. His scowled deepened despite the unpleasant tugging and resulting sting. "I'm fine." he growled, his throat still raw from shouting in the ring (and someone's hand clenching around his throat for too long in the third round). The hybrid considered what he must look like: a tall, well built guy, covered in blood, four glowing red eyes to match his odd ears and tail, and all but snarling. Why this guy hadn't run the opposite direction when he'd spotted Adrian was beyond him.DarkHikari (You know, I could've sworn that I'd responded to this earlier! Sorry for the delay!!)

ChibiWrites It's all good! I'm not the quickest to reply myself
Aidan stepped back briefly, but only briefly, when greeted with the scowl. With a sigh and a shake of his head he stepped forward despite that and met the males scowl with a disapproving one of his own. "Far from it. Does all of that blood belong to just you? Or did you give as good as you got?" He did stop far enough away to not be in the other man's personal space. "Look. You're hurt, that's pretty clear. If you think you can limp back to wherever home is and lick your wounds fine, but at least let me make sure you don't need a trip to the hospital first." He smiled to show the other he meant no harm and kept his tone low and neutral if not pleasant. In the meantime Aidan let his eyes wander over the body of the other male. He dismissed the four glowing eyes and ears and tail easy enough. In his family it wasn't too strange, other than the multiple eyes. Instead he focused on the injuries, trying to sort out was was serious and what was just superficial.

Adrian's ears flicked down a little as the other guy kept coming towards him, the little pause he had used to sigh notwithstanding. He snorted, though, at his comment. "Yeah, well, you should see the other guy." he said, mentally reviewing the beating his last opponent of the night had suffered. The hybrid tried not to flinch at the stranger's words as he continued, his proverbial hackles raising. 'Nosey, self-righteous p***k, this one.' he thought sourly, shifting to stand straighter in indignation - barely managing to hide a flinch as his wounds stung. Now that the high of the fight was dying down, they were starting to ache as his body went into overdrive trying to fix what he'd gotten himself into. Perks of having a fast healing factor - you won't die easily, but everything hurts that much worse (or so he'd been told). Still, this stranger smelled... off. A little like Shawn after one of his lessons - though, more subdued - a small thrum just under his skin that had nothing to do with his blood (or perhaps everything to do with it). 'Magic?' he thought, snorting at the sheer impossibility that was his life.
Still, it couldn't hurt to have his wounds checked - Even if it was was just to get this guy off his back. "Do what you want." he grunted, looking off to the side.

ChibiWrites Jeez, I thought I'd replied to this...sorry about the wait!
Aidan relaxed quite a bit when he was finally given permission to examine the other male. Thanks to his family he could trade verbal jabs for days, but when it came to actually backing up all of the big talk he knew that he was inadequate. He tried to smile cheerfully at the other but gave up after a few minutes, deciding to try quiet chatter instead. It was mindless, but if nothing else it made Aidan feel better under the hostile gaze of his 'patient'. "Do you...fight alot? You're built for it. I know because my brother fights alot." He examined the guy quickly but thoroughly. Some superficial cuts and bruises that would heal on their own. A gash that would need some professional attention. Or a quick burst of magic, but Aidan didn't know any healers, let alone any close by. "I'm Aidan. You?" He kept a mental list of the wounds that needed attention. He paused as he gently pressed his fingers against the side of the man's ribcage. "I think it's fractured."

Adrian resisted the urge to flinch when the other guy started toward him again, nose twitching at his new smell. The under-skin thrumming was more prominent, but it was matched by his heartbeat. He smelled nice - nicer than the sweat box arena inside or the dull smoggy pollution they were in now. His ears twitched when the guy spoke again, rolling his eyes at the light, nervous lilt to his voice. "Fighting makes me- Fighting's something I'm good at. That's all," he paused, rolling some words around in his mouth so they'd sound less growly and more sincere, "Sorry, in advance, if I ever get paired with your brother in the ring. Nothing personal." Personal was hard - beating the s**t out of faceless strangers in order to avoiding your own problems was easy.
It was weird to have eyes analyzing him so thoroughly - well, with his permission. Papa stared at him in a similar manner whenever the twins were able to drag him home, hugging him tightly and cloaked in a cloud of uncertain, unspoken worry. It was worse with Liam and Dad, though - their eyes were understanding. The hybrid almost jumped out of his skin when the guy spoke again - 'Aidan', his name, the name of a stranger that was so similar to his own and yet obviously had more of his life together than Adrian could ever hope - and simply nodded. "Adrian." he grunted, 'De'Awesume' lingering on his tongue yet remaining unspoken. Adrian hissed when Aidan pressed his fingers, feather light, against his ribs, tail flicking in abject misery against the wall behind him. "Yeah, I figured." he grumbled, shying away from those gentle fingers and the inevitable concerned crinkle of the stranger's brow.
