Sure using signs like this was old fashioned, but that's just how he liked it. Rather than using those flashing lights to seem too fancy. He arched himself backwards, placing both hands against the ground pushing off and back flipping behind the bar after having used enough pressure to send himself flying in that direction.
He landed on his feet, just like any other feline and leaned against the counter, prepared to wait.
Let's see what interesting faces this day will bring me.

Then without warning Octavian practically slammed the door open and took a sit at the bar, laying his head down on it. He let out a couple drawn out whines before saying anything. "Ender. Im 100 percent positive that I made the biggest mistake of my life. I'd like you to be the first to know because I might end up dead and if i'm not dead im probably being locked away and if im not being locked away then its something else. So I thought you should know because i'm the best company you'll ever get and you know it."He sighed and started to draw shapes on the counter with his finger. He was certain that he got a little too proud and made a mistake somewhere. Well he wanted them to find him, but he might have made it too easy. Guess only time will tell. Though when they did find him, he was probably going to be in even deeper with this than he originally thought out.

They had come so suddenly and though he was used to hearing the occasional complaint of Octavian's poor decisions, he couldn't help but chuckle and set down his usual drink near him. "I'll bury you somewhere nice, or I'll come rescue you. If you're dead any gravestone carving requests?" He asked, teasing him slightly.
"I'm almost concerned, what did you do this time? Or do you not want to talk about it?" He asked, there was no need to keep his voice low, it hadn't been that long since the bar opened and patrons didn't usually stop in until the sun started descending.
Then he remembered something and perked up, ducking under the bar counter to retrieve something, and tugging out a small ornate box, which he passed to Vince as well. "I almost forgot, this is all the information I've gathered last night after you left. Some of these secrets were sold to me, others I've overheard. I wrote them all down for you." He tapped the box with a pale finger as he smiled brightly. "Don't forget to return the box okay. I only have two of them, and I'm still waiting for you to bring the other back."

"Kinda worth it because they were both attractive. Put it in wingdings as well." He smiled confidently with a small nod.
With Ender's next question Octavian glanced around the bar just in case. There wasn't anyone around, that was a given because he knew when Ender opened and when people usually started to come in. If anyone did then Ender knew the hand signal that Octavian used to key him into stop talking about it. "Pissed off the gang.Well more like just one member, the other got there later and if anything stopped the first one from kicking the s**t out of me. The way the first one was acting, the one I pissed off and also the really attractive one, I imagine he has some importance? Though he also might not want to get his a** handed to him when he returns back to the gang."Octavian said with another sigh, running his fingers through his hair. "Raven and Crow. Crow was the one I pissed off and he almost messed up with his thoughts and gave me his real name."He added.
Octavian tilted his head as Ender left to go and get something. Ohh~ You treat me so well~. I'll probably bring them both back tomorrow, assuming I dont die in the next three days. If I do, then i'll make sure to put it in my will. Vince smiled.

"Wait...Which gang did you piss off?" He asked, squinting those dark eyes suspiciously. If it was the gang he was thinking of it was dangerous ground. He listened to both of the names and he sighed, that sounded an awful lot like the one he was afraid of.
Ender rolled his eyes and he tapped the box again with that gloved hand. "Take care of these. It's hard finding wood carvers that produce this level of quality in this day and age. Unless you're going to start paying me for these I can't find more without traveling pretty far." He warned, there was a brief shine of mischief in his eyes. "Don't lose it, don't break it. Or you know what'll happen." He warned slowly.

Octavian did one of those awkward frown smiles that basically gave it away."I was hoping my emphasis would tip you off. Though if you still dont know, you have to promise not to get mad." Vince said, shifting his position in the seat in case he needed leave. Especially if Ender was going to turn into a cat.
"Geez Ender, no trust. You know I always bring them back eventually, usually in two to three days at max. Which is also why I might die, because I uhhh- made a deal with them that If they could find out who I am within that time frame then the uh.... i'd keep quite about things that I didn't actually know." He said, now really getting ready to leave.

He had pressed one gloved hand against the bar counter, practically threatening to leave a crack in its smooth surface. "Vince." There was a deep rumble in the way Ender said his name.
He applied more pressure against the counter and shot off it speedily, leaping over Vince and by the door, where he flipped the open sign to closed. Turning and crossing his arms as his eyes were trained on his friend. "You weren't followed were you?" He asked, turning back around to lock the door and tug the blinds down, thankfully the windows were tinted other than the doors. "Because you and me are about to have a serious talk about your life choices."

Octavian knew this was about to get bad for him. He realized what he said, he shouldn't have said it but he did. That seemed to be happening more than usual today. Maybe it was time he learned to be a compulsive lair. Technically he already was, but even more than that. Or, just learn to keep his mouth shut.
He nearly had a heart attack when Ender jumped over him, having thought that Ender was going to turn into a cat."What? No, I made sure of that. Have a little faith in me to know what i'm doing. Which by the way im great at doing."Octavian frowned. Okay so gang was a little different, but Octavian wasn't about to treat this any different."Im pretty sure we all know my life choices are poor. Hell, my profession screams that. But man, I have no idea how long I got so I may as make all the bad decisions. Not to mention I could have done worse."

"Vince. HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND?!" He had started out calm before the question burst from him, a growl soon following. He swiftly moved from his spot beside the door and he was inches from Vinces face, grabbing him by the edges of his collar. "Of all the people you could have messed with! It had to be someone connected to the gang practically in control of the city!" He released his collar and sighed, though it was more of a groan, placing his head against his shoulder.
"If my bar...Gets ruined because of you..." He didn't need to finish his low voiced threat.

Oh dear. This was just going down hill for him at this point. Octavian didn't think there was a way for that to happen. At this point it was no return.
"Heeey, easy there buddy."Octavian said gently patting the front of Ender's shoulders. Not liking this at all. He was going to need Ender back down at a ten. Which probably wouldn't be happening"When you say it like that it does sound bad...."
"To be fair, as long as you don't get in their way they won't touch your bar. Probably. And, they don't know I know you. Soooo, keep quite and for the love of god dont lie. Pretty sure that will make it worse."Octavian frown gently patting Ender's back. He would feel bad about this if that did happen. But honestly he didn't see that being a thing. "Alright, how about this, i'll keep away for a bit until I sort out my mess and you not say a word at all. Keep everything you say about me vague if anyone does come asking. That way they can't say it's a lie and also that way you don't betray me. Sound good?" He gave Ender a couple more pats before moving him off his shoulders. "Now i'm actually late for my "shift" so I should get going soon."

He was muttering and cursing under his breath the whole way to the door and making it back behind the bars counter. He checked the smooth surface for potential cracks, making sure he hadn't actually damaged it. "It should sound bad, because it is. I don't know everything they are capable of. I only know of what they were capable of in the past generations because of my families connection. I think they're under new management now though, not that it's any of my business. I've been avoiding getting involved as much as I can." He paused, and his gaze softened as he looked to him.
"Listen Vince, don't...Get yourself killed, knowing who you're up against it's gonna be a huge pain in my a**. If I have to mourn you because you put you hands and tried to manipulate the wrong people. It makes things difficult for me." He remarked, making a gesture at Vince's drink to quietly suggest he at least finish his drink.
"I haven't betrayed you yet Vince. I know what to do, though not 'lying' about you is going to be difficult. The most I can do is use my normal excuse. It's not a complete lie, lots of people come in here after all." He paused and gestured to the ornate box.
"If you can't get this back to me in person, we could use our mailing system. You should still know how to send them back to me without drawing attention to yourself. I'll see about finding a wood worker and putting in another order for two more lock boxes." He paused again and tugged his hair free of the bun he had it trapped in, combing his gloved fingers through his dark hair, before tying it back up.
"Don't die, remember to be careful in that tea shop of yours. I'll see about stopping by while the bars closed." He paused and smirked, "Or you know, just come by my place so you can drop off the boxes. I'm sure the cats would be pleased to see you again. Hidan's taken a liking to you." He teased, his voice turning warm again as he said that.
"Finish your drink, then you can go."

He was still down playing the situation, but once they found him they would know it was all a bluff. So if anything he would no longer be a threat and just a person who started trouble for them. A lot of trouble In fact. But he didn't see that being a huge issue.
"Oh it'll be alright~ I don't think i'll be killed or anything because of this. As far as i'm concerned im not a legitimate threat to them. Not when everything I did was a bluff to get more information. Which didn't work so I don't have any thing on them. I do wish I did though."He said that last bit quietly. Not because he wanted to use it against them, just so he had something on the books about the gang.
Octavian let out a small sigh and sat back down again at the bar."I know, and I hope you never do. Not very many people know this about me at all."He said moving the drink closer to him and played with the rim of the glass. "The only issue with that is I frequent your bar at different times of the day and so do others. So you might want to craft that better as I don't imagine everyone has a good poker face like you do." Octavian said taking a sip of his drink.
"I'll probably mail it to you when I get back. I'd much rather not have this on hand nor have anything that is connected to you should I be found anytime soon." He said brushing back some of his hair.
He gave Ender a small nod, not exactly liking the idea that the cats were taking a liking to him. They probably smelled his fear. Octavian wouldn't say much about that though.
Once he finished his drink he got up from from the seat. "Alright now i'm off. I'm sure you remember but if you stop by make sure to ask for me as Cain. Oh, and as thanks i'll send the boxes back with some new teas I made. I'm sure you'll like them." Octavian said with a small wave before leaving the shop.

 Ender nodded and returned the small wave, watching him go as he moved and cleaned the glass behind the bar. He sighed softly shaking his head. He stared at his door for a moment thoughtfully as he set the clean glass on the shelf once more.
Sounds like things are going to be changing quite a bit around here. I'll need to be careful. Hopefully he doesn't get himself killed during this challenge of his.
He chuckled softly, leaning back for a moment. Well now, I've got time to come up with a better 'lie' to cover for him.
