Kettil had decided to take Peder out for an afternoon of fun at the park. The Muut pushed along the stroller with his baby boil seated safely within it - though the baby boil was getting bigger by the day it seemed. Kettil thought his son had hatched out of the pumpkin just yesterday, or at least that is how it felt to him.
"Gonna show you the skerry-go-round, and the sliiiiiiiiiiide," He chattered to the small burbling bundle of joy in the stroller.
What else could Kettil subject his scarling to? Oh right.
"Swings! I gotta definitely show you the swings. I think you'll like that!" Kettil grinned cheerfully. Peder answered with 'YaaaaaaaasSSsss .'
Such enlightening conversation.

Although her daily life for the past few months had followed the exact same pattern, Xiu couldn't claim to be unhappy. Perhaps it did feel a little mundane at times, but she absolutely adored running her little cafe with Gene, especially whenever an old friend came through. Before graduation, she had feared losing contact with the friends she had made throughout the years, but apparently that fear was for naught.
Or perhaps it wasn't completely off--she had to acknowledge that there were at least a handful of people she hadn't seen in a while and missed dearly. She had thought about calling them up multiple times, but there had always been something that distracted her from doing so; they were out of ingredients at the cafe, or there was a sudden influx of customers and she needed to man the front, or...
In either case, she just hadn't gotten around to it. However, since today was her day off, perhaps she could give her friends a call in the evening and ask them if they wanted to meet up sometime. As for the first part of the day, though...
Xiu took a deep breath as she stepped into the park, chest rising and falling and she took in the fresh air. She couldn't remember the last time she had been on a nice, relaxing walk outside, and so she decided it'd be best to take advantage of her free time and do just that. She'd just take a little stroll around, enjoy the view, and maybe take a look at the swings at that scareling playground over there if there were any free--
Xiu squinted when she caught sight of a vaguely familiar figure in the distance, having spotted his hair first. She continued to squint as she stepped a little closer, and then closer, and then--
"...Kettil?"

He paused when he heard his name called by someone. Kettil turned his head toward the familiar voice and he suddenly bellowed out, "BIG SISTER! I FOUND YOU!"
Like she was lost. Like he had been searching for her all this time.
Needless to say he was still pretty much a tall goof.
"SIS' FOUN!" Peder echoed after his father just as excitedly, bouncing in his stroller seat.
Kettil soon turned the stroller to go toward where he saw Xiu standing, "I missed seein' ya!" He chattered along happily. For the life of him he couldn't remember when he'd last seen Xiu, but that didn't matter now that she was here! "How you been? You been doing okay?" He seemed extremely happy to see his 'Big Sister'.
Peder was staring up at Xiu curiously. Alert and possibly up to mischief.
Kaiyumi shush no you aren't. You are the best. -HUGS-
