This thread is where we'll be posting announcements that don't quite merit a guildwide announcement but still need to be seen, as well as logging the system announcements for posterity. It's always good to keep track of this thread, because chances are anything posted here will effect you in some way.

I'll also occasionally post sneak peeks at things we're working on for you like upcoming events and the like, so even if that technical stuff bores you you still might find something here you like.

-And so it Begins:

The time is currently 11:20. In forty minutes, at 12:00 EST, RP will be officially open! Characters may start anywhere they like in the Vasilikan region, though it might be a good idea to coordinate with others to ensure you have someone to RP with. Be mindful of your surroundings though, you never know what might be hiding in an otherwise unassuming thread.

And just to throw a bit of a wrench in the works, I've updated the profile format to fix a couple annoyances and oversights. Approved characters can make these changes in their profile threads, just be sure to inform me when it's done. If it's not done now it'll be required at your next update.

The changes are in the first post, where I have added dietary information. Everything you need for that should be in your chosen races. And in the third post I've made a few changes to the SP section. If you don't understand it don't worry too much, we'll make sure it's right at your next update.

Also, any changes made to characters will now be required to go through the update thread, no more just adding bits as they're approved.

So get out there, start RPing, and make us proud! Oh, and don't forget to invite your friends either.

-Weapons: They do exist!

For the first time in three weeks I've had time to sit and work on the guild a bit, and have finished assembling a very basic list of weapons and a few tools, which can now be found in the "Content Lists" subforum. Most of these can be acquired in the shops in Sedem, and possibly in some of the outlying villages, though you'll have to quote a mod to be sure on those.

Due to my own lack of time to work on it, and everyone else on the team having similar if not worse difficulties, I'm temporarily discontinuing the Trade system. It's functions will from now on be folded into the normal skill system until we have time to look at it again in the future. This means that anything you might have used a trade for can still be done, and you can even do things from trades you may not have had, but restrictions will be placed on trade-like skills according to your character's stats.

I apologize to all for my (Sadly continuing) inactivity, but hope that you'll all take this update and see what it can do in the RP.

-Let's Try This Again:

As can easily be seen, the last attempt to open this guild didn't go so well. Having a little bit more time to dedicate now, I want to give it another shot, but I'm going to need some help from you guys.

Rather than just trying to push on, we're going to restart with a clean slate. Nothing in the previous start happened, unless you want it to have happened. You don't even need to keep using the same character. Since some have undoubtedly lost interest by now, I'd like for everyone who wants to continue using their current characters to post in a thread I'll be making shortly after this announcement. If it's somehow not on the recent posts list, it'll be in the main forum as an announcement, or linked in the thread version of this post. If you don't post there, then I'll have to assume you no longer want the character, at which point it's thread will be moved to archives, then eventually deleted.

Furthermore, in the same thread I'll be requesting suggestions for stories, missions, and activity incentives. If your ideas are used, you will receive a reward, so I highly recommend sharing anything you think might be interesting!

Lastly, rather than scattering everyone around as in the last start, RP will be starting in Sedem Reges this time around. Try hanging out with friends, exploring the area, or interacting with NPCs. Who knows what you might find? (I do.)

-The Arena Opens!: At long last, the Arena of Lords is open for business! After a rather messy match in recent months the Arena has been under renovations, but once more it's doors have opened, allowing warriors of all creeds to come together and battle within it's walls! Unfortunately all the ranked warriors were in that last battle, and are no longer able to participate, so the Arena is welcoming applicants for full time fighters in the ring! Just stop by and let them know you'd like to participate, and they'll add your name to the list for an upcoming tournament, to decide the rankings for this new batch of warriors!

Or, if you want to be a bit more dedicated, you could always make a new character for the arena. A gladiator perhaps? You'll be confined in the Pit between matches, but you'll fight for your life on a regular basis, and by the time you earn your freedom, just imagine how strong you'll have become.

-Humans Updated: Having noticed a bit of an oversight, I've replaced the Human's trade based trait with something a bit more useful. If your character is human, please update your profile to match the edited trait. If it hasn't been updated by your next character update whoever does your update will ask you to do it again at that time as well.

-Words?!: The Stat system has been updated slightly, with one brand new method to earn experience! Yes, you guessed it, assuming you read the title, you can now earn Exp simply by posting, via your word count. But, as you well know, I dislike the systems that reward fluff over skill, so there is a limit. You can only earn a certain amount per day, and even less per post, so nobody will be leaping to the top levels in one day of spam, sorry.

Still, this is a new way to earn some precious Exp, and a new reason to keep posting, so there you go!

-The Hunt Begins: So, this isn't quite done yet, but we've started on getting the tables set up for actual encounters out in the wild. Not all the threads have any yet, but some do, and others will soon. We'll be expanding on the races as needed for encounters as well, so expect to see those start to flesh out a bit more in the near future. Rolling in threads we don't have tables for yet will just move that thread to the top of the list, so feel free to head out for some hunting, and expect to see new things pop up faster the more you move around.

We're still lacking in certain areas, such as items for the loot tables. If you have any good ideas, feel free to share them in the suggestion thread, or customs if you already have it made up. Who knows, if enough people start coming up with stuff I might start up a creation contest and hand out some rewards!
