The sea-green haired Castithan had just finished the final round of the five-round arena and was awaiting the host to return with the reward scrip when she overheard one of the competitors talking. Listening in closely, Yukiko started remembering what little information her brother had told her before heading out with their sister. Turning around, the woman grabbed Indogene male that was speaking by the front of his shirt and glared at him.
"Is it true?"
Her voice was cold and fierce. The Indogene held up his hands in surrender, his own voice cracking as fear and confusion shown in his eyes.
"Y-yeah. I know those Irathients. They won't pay full price for shtako but they wouldn't steal. The humans either. If you ask me, they're the targets for thieves instead of being thieves."
"Are you sure?"
Yes."
Roughly letting the man go, Yukiko spun on her heels just as the human host returned with the money. Taking the scrip and stuffing it in her nap sack before storming out the door and mounting her runner, then speeding down the road.
Going as fast as the bike can go, it still felt like it took forever for the Castithan woman to reach her destination. She had just pulled up to the shack the information she had gathered on top of what she already knew led to. She soon found her siblings' charger and parked next to it in time to hear screams and gun shots from within the house. Yukiko quickly got off the runner and huried inside the house, but the sight churned her stomache. There were bullet holes and blood all over the walls as Irathient and human bodies lay scattered.
It wasn't long til she caught sight of her brother gathering anything that looked like the goods he was hired to get.
"What did you do?"
"What I was paid to do, sister." Daiki replied, never slowing his task as he carried crate out to his car.
"You were paid to slaughter people?
"They were theives. Besides, they were just humans and Irathients. No one will miss them."
Hearing her brother be so cruel, broke Yukiko's heart and boiled her blood. How could he be so cold and uncaring? He had never been like this before the banishment. She was going to speak out, but a sound coming from the corner caught her attention. After a moment of listening, the alien woman didn't hear it or anything else, but instincts told her to investigate anyway. Without saying a word, Yukiko walked over to the far corner, where she had heard the noise. There was a table that was covered in blankets with boxes piled on top of it. Kneeling down, the woman lifted the blankets and to her surprise, there was a child cowering underneath. A young Irathient girl, no older than 10. Carefully holding out her hand, Yukiko tried coaxing the girl out of hiding.
Noticing his sister on the floor, Daiki made his way over to her to see what she had found. "Find anything interesting, sister?" He asked. Once he approached her, he saw the child and drew his pistol, pointing it at the Irathient. "Guess I missed one."
Hearing her brother, Yukiko quickly stood and got between him and the girl, glaring at him. "Don't you dare. You've done enough harm."
After a moment of staring at sister, Daiki lowered his weapon. "Fine. The brat better not get in the way though."
With a sigh of relief, Yukiko thanked her brother before offering her hand to the girl who hesitantly took it and was soon picked up and carried outside then placed on the Castithan's runner.

A month had passed since Yukiko had taken in the Irathient girl and has yet heard a word from the child. No matter what she did, the girl just looked terrified, even clinging to Yukiko's arm whenever Daiki was near. Aya had joined in to care for the little Irathient. The purple haired Castithan always wanted to be an Aunt and knowing what her sister has been through since before the twins were born, Yukiko would be looking for a mate any time soon.
