So, my last boyfriend passed away a little over 2 months ago due to cancer. However, I've found another. Great, right? I'm bisexual, and I'm wondering, is it necessary to tell him if the topic never comes up in conversation? I mean, I like HIM, not anyone else right now, and I just don't know if that's something he needs to know or not. The issue is that the boyfriends I've told have been bi, while he's straight. So like... do I need to tell him? Is it important that I tell him? Or can I just not tell him if he doesn't seem to care about it?

I'd say it might be a good idea to tell him at some point? Otherwise it may become a very big deal later down the line? But I don't think you need to tell him immediately or under any time pressure and telling him would be more for your peace of mind than his "right to know". I guess it also depends how out you are in general.

It's honestly up to you if and when you want to tell him or even how much you wish to tell him. However, honesty is a great foundation for a relationship, i hide my sexuality to my ex for a year and when i did tell him he decided to be against my female friends as well as male if there were any photos taken of us with our arms round each other (you know the typical group friend photo pose) or hugging.

In my opinion, you should tell him but it doesn't change who you are or your feelings towards him in the slightest, its just a little bit of information and if he takes it the wrong way then maybe you should ask if he's the right guy? Your sexuality doesn't change who you are as a human being or your feelings towards him after all.

Hope this helps? sweatdrop
