════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════By about this time Link finally made his way over. He had a slight limp, and was looking quite tired with cuts and bruises to complete the look. He'd overheard talk of money and saw that Ambiance didn't quite as lucky as himself in the way of having a fairy to heal her during the fight and thought he should do something. Tapping Ambiance's shoulder to let himself into the conversation, he came with a handful of rupees. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, this didn't seem to satisfy the strange redhead; and as they were indebted to her for her help they Link felt obliged to make it right. After all, she didn't have to help Ambiance a second time. The least they could do was get her the money she wanted for her potion.
Link continued to search his tunic, making all the rattling one would expect of someone carrying as much gear as he was. When it looked as though the Hero wouldn't find anything--and certainly not wanting to give up his Chu jelly--the Twili who were left standing came and threw exotic coins at the group's feet, wailing something that couldn't be taken as anything other than praise. In reality they were trying to buy them off as they saw them as a curse. Surely this would be enough, though! Link looked expectantly at Vanya, hoping she would heal her friend.

Once she handed the girl the red potion, she was certain she would be faring much better than now. A fairy or blue potion would have better suited the occasion but it was better than nothing. Vanya folded her arms as she waited for her to drink it and recover her flask. Those things were reusable after all and the magician wasn't looking to replace them. But all the girl did was hold onto as if it wasn't obvious what it was for. Instead, she tried to give it back to her, claiming she didn't have a way to pay for it. Well now the woman was a little irritated as if the furrowing of her eyebrows was any indication. "Really? You would rather sit there in pain than be indebted to me? Hmph! I suppose I should be used to this sort of treatment." Not all Gerudo were trying to get the upper hand on others...at least, not all the time. Vanya snatched the potion back, but she wasn't happy about it.
Greeny tried to butt into the conversation, offering up a handful of rupees to sate her but now she didn't even feel like taking payment. Well maybe... No! She making a statement here! The swordsman could keep looking for more rupees but she wasn't going to take it. However, when the little shadow people came up to them and started throwing something at them, she bent down to pick one of them up. '...Is this.... !' In that instant, Vanya's eyes seemingly turned into gold rupees, as she realized they were coins; shiny and extraordinary ones at that. Surely these had to fetch for something on the market! Before she could get to collecting, she caught the green one's gaze, as if asking for the potion now. "Here, here! Take it! If she doesn't drink, I'll force her to this time" she told the hero, putting the flask in his hands. While they were handling that, she would begin gathering the money.

Ambiance~ Aura of Peace Oh, if only I could have been there I'd be a hand for the sinking Something in Ambiance's fogged mind felt a twinge of irritation at the words the gerudo woman said. Maybe it was pride, or maybe it was just her own frustration with the situation and the fact that she was in such a predicament as to need this kind of assistance. It was not Ambiance's life's goal to be seen as pitiable or to end up in someone's debt. Nor did she feel that she qualified to receive charity. Perhaps it had something to do with how she tried to view herself as capable and independent, but even she had to recognize her fallibility. In a land with no contacts or ties to home, she didn't feel like it was wise to be monetarily indebted to anyone. She didn't know many people here, and now that they were in a completely different place, she barely could get a sense of who was safe to talk to and who was not.
However, everything that transpired in the passing moments was indeed something she didn't quite expect. Link tried to speak up on her behalf, but was turned down. Ambiance tried to hide her embarrassment over that, but it was lost in the exuberance and display of the hooded and shawled creatures that had stood on the sidelines for the majority of the fighting and chaos. The glittering coins were certainly distracting, and Ambiance couldn't exactly tell what the strangers were saying, but what she could pick up was how the perspective of the potion-maker had so suddenly flipped about and her focus went to the coins.
Ambiance wasn't sure what she could say, at this particular moment. She picked up her sword and brought it closer to her. It was a bit of a slow effort, but she managed to set the mark of heritage back into the sheath at her side.
It seemed the decision had been made for her already. Either she was going to drink it or she was going to have it shoved down her throat. A pretty picture that was. She gathered herself enough together to push herself back onto her feet. It wasn't the fastest she'd ever picked herself up. However, she was quietly satisfied to be standing and to confirm that she was quite able to do so.
She couldn't make eye contact with Link as she turned to face him.
I wish I could protect you here Oh, please don't cry, now, smile OoC:

════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════And Link would greet her non-gaze with that patented goofy, happy-go-lucky smile he wore as ultimate dis-allowance of despair. His teeth looked comically bright in contrast to his smudged face as he handed Ambiance the red drink. While she drank the Hero took a second to smile and give a "thank you" nod to Vanya.
The Twili had already gone, left the same way the came--which was from all corners of the dreary world which itself seemed to be a forest of terrors; this being the only clearing for miles. Unfortunately the trio wouldn't have much time to rest as the walls of dark fog around them seemed to grow taller, more angry, and curl over as if to swallow them whole. Out of the goodness of his heart Link offered to carry any coins Vanya couldn't, folding the bottom of his shirt up to make a little pouch for them.
Of course it would be clear why he was leaving almost instantly afterward with tremors and howling that rocked the plaza they were in. From beyond the thick curtain of that black fog one could see an innumerable horde of beasts just like before, so dense that it felt like the hand of an angry god was bearing down on their little insect lives. After the howling died down what was left was the hollow bubbling of a volcanic eruption; such was the weight of the incoming onslaught. Link knew better, triforce of Courage or not, and headed for the Twili Gate immediately.

The treasure hunter had picked up just about every coin that caught her eye in this dim lighting. She would quickly stuff them in a pouch until that pouch could fit no more. There was little choice but to leave the rest behind. Vanya stood up and sighed, after fitting as much as could in her hands, looking to swordsman who nodded his thanks to her with a smile. "...Uh, yeah, sure" she replied, trying to avoid eye contact by looking away. More importantly, while she had the opportunity, now seemed like a good time to speak with Link about her being here. After all, that was the only reason she jumped into this forsaken realm. Vanya opened her mouth to speak but paused, taking notice of something strange. The inhabitants of this world had retreated, making their presence scarce. But that wasn't all- the darkness, like a thick black curtain, was enclosing around them. Unfortunately, it looked like the talk would have to wait; escape taking the precedence here. And yet, Link was down on the ground, scooping up the coins she couldn't carry. The low rumble of the ground and all too familiar howling; however, got him up and moving back to the portal with Vanya in tow. Beyond the curtain, she could see more of those beasts, more than she could comprehend. Against her better judgement, she would head into the portal last, using her new light stave to slow the encroaching horde down long enough for the two to escape. [EXIT]

Ambiance~ Aura of Peace Oh, if only I could have been there I'd be a hand for the sinking Even the disheartened Ambiance really couldn't ignore the bright smile for very long and feel lifted by it. She drank from the strange substance, noted that she didn't recognize the flavor of the concoction at all, but almost immediately, she felt her strength return and her hands stopped shaking. She wasn't perfect, but she certainly felt ages better than she had been feeling earlier.
The empty bottle, with a contented smile, was slid into her bag. She moved to rejoin the others, but she noticed rather quickly that the area had been vacated, leaving just Link, the gerudo lady, and herself. There was something very ominous about that realization. Even as she began to look around, there was the black fog that burned that came over the horizonline. With it, as before, came monsters. Unfortunately, unlike before, there were many, many more of them.
Ambiance learned something that day. If you met something that was hostile and dangerous in a strange land, it was safe to say that wasn't the worst thing around. In instinctive panic, she made a dash to the exit, or at least to the gate. One had to recognized when they were outmatched by leagues.
Run, run! All you can do is run!!
[Exit] I wish I could protect you here Oh, please don't cry, now, smile OoC:
