Kishi took the flower and unrolled the clue on it. But she didn't read it yet, because Gulliver revealed he created the treasure hunt. "Aww, that's so sweet of you Gulliver. You are such a great friend to surprise me with a game like this. You know I love mysteries! I am having lots of fun with it! It's nice to see this playful side of you, too. So what is the prize at the end of the hunt? Is it like a pirate treasure!?" She giggled and covered an eye with her hand speaking like a pirate to ask if it's plundered booty.
She sat down beside him and finally looked down at the clue to see what it said.

The clue read Quote: There is plenty of wonderful food in our Tree, but only one place combines thirst quenching beverages with delicious flavours. Such a good friend it wasn't the words he had hoped for but he supposed he needed to admit to more then just creating the little hunt. "Kishi, it wasn't just the hunt, I"m also the one who left you the flowers outside your door" Gulliver wanted her to know the truth, truth he was going to tell her at the pub but she'd not made it there. "The end of this hunt wasn't any fancy treasure" he admits quietly "Just the pot of flowers and me admitting this all to you, I...." he paused only a moment it was the moment of truth so to speak, how would she react.... "I've known you ever since I came to Laisidhiel Kishi, I admire you, and... well... I love you" he watched her not knowing how she'd react, if she'd slap him run away or what... but now was that moment to find out after all the time he'd waited and been afraid to tell her.

Kishi just sat, staring at the little piece of unrolled paper stretched between her hands like it was the most important scrap of paper in the universe. She didn't even know what it said. Her eyes were wide, and she felt like she couldn't breathe. She hoped to the earth spirits Gulliver couldn't see her face as it was right now. Love? ... love? She knew he liked her but love? She wasn't prepared for that. She swallowed the lump in her throat slowly, knowing an extended silence would not be good. She didn't want to hurt his feelings.
"Gulliver ... I ..." Oh boy this was going to be the hardest thing she's ever had to do in her life. She usually had all the answers, but not this time. She didn't know what to do, or what to say. The treasure hunt was a fun thing with the flowers from their little excursion. There was no indication at all it was for a love declaration. Even the last clue just talked about the pub. Nothing to prepare her for this.
"... I knew that it was you who left the pink rose and note last Vday," she said quietly, trying to work up the nerve to look at him. "I was just waiting for you to admit it."
She had no idea this was what he was going to admit. It's a big step!
"... but you never did. So I figured you were just being nice to me for Vday." She finally looked at him. She bit her bottom lip and tried to hide the worry. "And here I thought you were just going to say you liked me, heh," she chuckled lightly and shrugged her shoulder at him. Kishi put on her trademark smile. "I think you skipped almost all the steps here. We haven't even gone a date yet!"

Gulliver stood there in nervous silence as she stared at the paper in her hands. Why was it he felt to afraid she'd reject him, sure like mojo had said he could lead armies, but confronting the one he felt feelings for seemed to be such a different story. And then she said it, she knew he'd left those flowers the valentines before. That wasn't something he expected but it didn't truly surprise him, she was very smart. "I'm .. sorry I didn't tell you it sooner Kishi, I may be a fighter on the feild but " he paused and scratched the back of his head sheepishly "in the matters of the heart, I'm kinda chicken, worried of rejection i guess"
He looked at her as she looked at him smiling despite himself when he saw her beautiful smile. It made his heart skip a beat as she smiled at him, "I may have skipped some steps, but I would think our trip to the flower field could count as an unofficial first date" he smiled back to her and moved to sit beside her "I don't know Kishi I know I could have ... no I should have said sooner, but finding the right way wasn't easy for me. Please forgive me for not telling you sooner then I this."

His confessing that he was afraid of rejection made Kishi really nervous. That was something she never knew because he always seemed so confident with his squad and leading as the Captain of the Rangers. Who knew he was afraid of girls? It was an amusing thought, one that made her giggle.
But the more she considered that, the more disappointed she grew. He was cowardly. She cleared her lungs with a deep breath and bit her bottom lip. She liked him, a lot. But romantic feelings were never a part of that. Heck, she didn't even know what romantic feelings were to know enough that she would have them. She liked hanging out with him, and she was always flattered that a noble and well-known leader took an interest in being her friend. She could tell him anything, and she did share a lot with him.
Kishi thought for a moment about her friends when she was growing up and the games they played. She'd be the princess and Pan would be the hero to rescue her. As she got older and read more fairy tales and watched the faun fall in love all around her, she'd started thinking she wanted that fairy tale romance, too. She wanted to be swept off her feet and have a faun madly in love and protect her like a princess. To be her hero. Was Gulliver that faun? Her special someone? She didn't know. And that worried her. If she didn't know, did that mean he wasn't, because she herself now wasn't confident about him. Is love instant?
"Gulliver, I don't want that to be our first date. That was just a hike where I was supposed to help you find your lost thoughts, and you tricked me into going there to see the flowers. That's not romantic." She laughed a little and put her hand on his shoulder. Maybe love wasn't instant. Maybe it took some time. Maybe she'd give it a shot to see. "You have to ask me officially."

She seemed so deep in though, about what Gulliver wasn't sure, but what he did know is she was thinking about something... him? if so was it good? bad? unsure? Only time would tell he supposed. He felt her hand on his shoulder as she spoke, he'd never considered their trip to the floor beds a trick, more a hint and a hope she'd ask him about the flowers. Officially? well certainly he could do that.... right? of course!. He smiled at her, his smile was genuine and not 100% confident but then not un-confident either. " he lifted a hand tapping his chin deciding what he should ask her to do with him, another picnic? no... how about a nice moonlit stroll and a dinner, sure that might work... "Okay Kishi..." he turned towards her more moving to straddle the bench and face her straight on... well sorta.... "Would you like to accompany me to dinner and perhaps a stroll under the moon tomorrow evening?" well, here's hoping he thought...

Gulliver seemed hard to read. Usually he was just sort of ... stoic. The more she thought about it, the more it occurred to her how stiff he was with expressing his emotions. Was that because he was nervous around her? She'd like to see some more animated emotions from him someday. He'd probably have to get to know her better so he could loosen up, she supposed.
"Are you suggesting we break curfew? Naughty naughty Captain of the Rangers. I wouldn't want you to get in trouble with Rais because of me. You saw what he did to Faroth for breaking the rules, right? I wouldn't want to have to visit you in the root cellar. It's kinda dingy down there. Makes for bad dates." She made a face when mentioning the root cellar's dinginess.
With a contemplative smile, she hopped up to her feet and patted Gulliver on the head. She gave a wink and playful giggle. "Besides, silly, it doesn't count if I have to tell you to do it. Tell you want, I'll be home tomorrow evening so maybe you can stop by for a game of cards." She prodded his arm with her elbow and gave a playful razz. "I am gonna head out because it's getting late. And you should probably get some sleep too so you are bright-eyed and bushy-tailed ready for work!"

Gulliver blushed she was right, but he was so caught up in the moment that he had completely forgotten curfew. He'd have to think of some other way to ask her out, that was gonna require some thought and planning on his part... "Cards huh, sounds like a plan...All right Kishi, you have a wonderful night" he told her softly as she basically told him her own farewell, "Actually..." he stood up "Can I walk you to your alcove?" he asked her, if she declined him he'd prob go back to the pub for a bit before heading to his own home.
