Age: 22
Played by: Uzu Kitsunesuki
Location:
The crowded streets.

Sakura quietly made her way down the crowded streets of the market. A plain gown took place of what used to be an elaborate dress, fit for only a princess. A hooded cloak masked her appearance as she kept to the shadows, keeping out of sight of the guards who roamed the streets. Matsumoto guards. The mere thought made her shudder. She had watched her kingdom fall over the past four years. Streets grew dark, people stayed indoors. Her people had grown poor and weak, hungry from the heavy taxes, mothers weeping for sons that had been forced into war. The hand of the Matsumoto family had been harsh on her people, and she had to refrain from lashing out. No, she had to keep hidden.

The last of her line, a Komatsu, it was up to her to save her people. A feat that required planning, and time. Time with which her people were running out of. Some devout followers had been kind, few knowing that the princess even survived the raid on the castle four years prior. Naturally there were rumors, but there was never any proof. Sakura hid. Taking solace in the meager produce in her basket, she knew she couldn't stay much longer.

She felt a presence. There were eyes on her today, though she knew not who's. This wasn't the typically presence of the guards, the paranoia of being found. No, there was something different about this presence. Something new. Even the clouds had grown darker in her time at the market, a silent sign of a storm ahead. Something simply wasn't quite right...

always searching for meaning...

Silva walked into the gallery. His long black hair flowing behind him. When he walked into a room a sense of mystery filled the air. Silva wasn't an outspoken, outgoing kind of person. He kept to himself, he was quiet, and some viewed him as wise or strange. A sort of darkness seemed to loom around him, as if a dark Aura. He didn't mean to make people feel this way, it was just simply the way people viewed him. Honestly he had somewhat stopped caring about what people thought of him. The only thing that mattered was his artwork.

Some of his artwork was being viewed at the gallery this evening. It was a perfect evening. The sky had grown cloudy, the stars were starting to pop out of the sky. It was a cold and somewhat eerie atmosphere. He loved the night, the moon was like a guide to him, a constant friend. It comforted him, that thought the night was dark, the moons light covered even the darkest of places.

As he walked into the hall eyes immediately found there way to him, voices stopped, all was quiet. It was as if time itself had stopped. The moment was brief, maybe a few seconds, and then conversations resumed, even though some eyes still lingered in his direction. As he continued to walk on, his eyes gazed over some of the pieces that were being displayed at the gallery.

Bundling up her produce with a bit of bread, Sakura kept her head down. A guard passed awfully close to her and she knew better than to let anyone, especially one of Matsumoto's men, find out she as alive. Offering over a few of the coins she had left, she made her retreat. Holding the cloak tightly around her thin frame, she retreated out of the market.

The guards were everywhere, watching over the people, ensuring that everyone paid their taxes and kept the peace. It truly was a different world. Many people had been fond of Sakura's father's reign. He had been a kind ruler, teaching his daughter to do the same. People lived in harmony without starvation or war. With the Matsumoto's take over, things were different. People were poor, struggling to get by, wrought with famine and illness. Many opposed the new rulers, yet there was little they could do for risk of losing their lives. However,t here were a brave few that had kept the princess safe and hidden away, though resources were running thin.

Making her way out of the gates of the market, she took a deep breath, having survived yet another day. The vast field around her welcomed her success as she quietly made her way towards a horse, knowing it was her ride home. Glancing up at the clouds, she couldn't help but get a shaking feeling from the storm that was approaching. This was no ordinary storm.

As Silva was walking by some paintings, on his way to his own painting, something caught his eye. As he turned to look, there was a beautiful painting of a marketplace. It seemed to be full of color and life, but a look closer he could see the sadness of the people in it. Things can seem peaceful and bright at first glance, and really be dark, and lonely. Silva had learned this all to well throughout his life.
As his eyes glanced over the piece, once again something caught his eye. There was a beautiful girl in the painting, that looked to be leaving the marketplace. She looked determined, but secret. There was a cloak that covered most of her face, but he could tell that she didn't belong to the rest of the painting, she was different from the scene before him. As he blinked, she moved, now she was further from the marketplace, heading to what looked like a horse. In a brief instant he thought he must be mad, he was finally going crazy. After all these years, something had broken inside his mind, and he had lost his sanity.

Sakura retreated across the field to the waiting horse. Sighing lightly, she pet it gently, knowing she needed to get a start home soon. Glancing back towards the market, the princess's heart ached to see her people like this. She wanted to do something, to help them, to scare the guards off with the truth that she was alive. However, she wouldn't survive long enough to make a difference. For now sh had to wait, to plan.

Holding her basket against herself, Sakura moved to mount the horse. Yet, before she could, a violent gust of wind struck, nearly knocking the princess over. Gasping,s he held onto the reigns of the horse to keep from toppling over, startled by the strength of the wind. Glancing up towards the sky, something had changed, almost an opening being made in the clouds. Knowing something simply wasn't right, Sakura quickly moved to get back on her horse. Something was coming, and she didn't think it best to wait around to find out what.

Shaking his head Silva glance at the photo, trying hard not to blink, but failing. His eyes started to water, and finally his body gave in and he blinked. When his eyes opened back up, the girl was blown of her horse, but now he didn't need to blink. He could clearly see as she looked up at him, and got back on her horse. He could see the confusion in her eyes, the thoughts that passed over her. She seemed so alive, but he couldn't possibly consider this to be reality. An urge overwhelmed him. An instinct to reach out and just brush his fingertips over the canvas. To feel the flecks of paint, and no that it wasn't real. That it was just a painting, that he was daydreaming, it couldn't be real. As he reached out he the painting seemed to shift, it wasn't just the girl moving now, the marketplace seemed to come alive as well. He could feel a breeze brush over his face, and smell the fresh bread and fish of the market. His fingers close to the painting now, it was like the painting was engulfing him, and before he could think, the image started to come closer and closer to his face. Faster and faster the image of the ground came, so much that it took his breathe away. Before he could step away from the painting, he hit the ground, and was knocked out.

Hugging her basket close, Sakura was about to take off on her horse. Yet, something made her stop. Was that... a man? Gasping, it appeared as if a man was falling from the clouds. Glancing quickly towards the market, she knew it was a matter of time before the guards came to investigate, knowing she surely wasn't the only one to notice the odd happenings. With the man having landed in the field, however, Sakura was faster, racing the horse over to him. The man dressed in odd attire, surely not from her kingdom. His appearance was one she had never seen before. Then again, he was also from the sky. Sliding off her horse, she knelt beside him, gently shaking him. "Sir?" Seeing the man appeared to be passed out, Sakura glanced back to the market. Who knew what the guards would do to such an outsider. Besides, falling from the sky would draw attention to the field, including herself. She had to get out of there quickly. Struggling, the princess hoisted the man up onto the horse. There was something about this man that she knew was different. Had he been sent to help her in her return to the throne? Who was he? Needing answers, she knew she had to take him with her. Climbing onto the horse, she glanced back, already noting the small congregation of guards making their way over. Gripping onto the mane of the large beast, she took off across the field, making sure the man didn't fall off as she rode, disappearing into the forest as the clouds opened up, releasing a downpour. Draping the back of her cape over the man, she also used her own hood to keep dry for the ride. Her small home was located deep in the woods. While it was nothing fancy, it was enough to keep her dry and protected, having hidden her away for the past four years.

Silva dreamed of a time when he was young. Him and his dad were in the backyard of there house, it was going to be his first time camping. Silva was around 6 years old at the time, and he was still afraid of the dark. Especially being in the dark, outside where things went bump in the night.

His dad however, encouraged him, and tried to get his mind off of his fears. Silva forgot about the dark, and helped his dad set up the tent before the moon fell. When the tent was finally set up, his dad called him to the center of the tent, there stood a stove. Silva's dad wasn't labeled brilliant, or smart, but he was wise. He knew how the world worked, the real world. He could make things out of nothing. He knew how to survive, and would teach Silva the same.

As his father lit the flames that would be there warmth throughout the night, Silva gazed at the flames. They seemed magical, the way they danced. His dad looked at him form across the fire.
"Look son, The purest of lights never cast a shadow, be that light son." His father said, with a loving tone, but his eyes showed hope and faith in his son. Silva glared at the room, at the dance light, but no shadow was cast by it's flames.

Soon it was dark, but Silva was not afraid. The fire in the middle of the room gave him peace. It was a moment that he would never forget, and it was what drove him to paint, and fill the world with such light and beauty. As Silva's eyes grew heavy, he heard the soft distant sound of his fathers voice.
... i love you son... with his fathers voice lingering in his ears the dream ended. Letting out a small moan, his head pounding, his body aching. Silva finally opened his eyes.

The kettle steamed as Sakura prepared hot tea. Having arrived to her little home, Sakura had struggled to get Silva inside, the rain pouring through the dense trees, getting the both of them soaked. Having started a fire, and laid him on the makeshift bed beside it, she couldn't help but wonder about him.

Sakura had been waiting four years for the right time to take back her kingdom. She watched her people suffer while she had been forced away into hiding. Glancing over to the wall, her royal gown hung, waiting for the right time to be worn once more. However, after all her waiting, a man falls from the sky. Perhaps the man from the sky was there to help her, to let her retake the crown. She had to hope, if nothing more.

Taking the kettle off of the fire, Sakura poured two cups of the tea. While it was nothing like the tea she drank in the palace, being made rather from the recognizable herbs and plants in the forest, it was still warm to drink. Fixing the blanket over the sleeping man, Sakura quietly continued to watch him in a curious wonder, trying to understand where he came from, who he was, and why he was here.

It would appear as if she didn't have to wait much longer, startled to hear a groan, followed by the slight stirring of the man upon her sleeping mat. "You're awake." Speaking softly to not startle the man, she set his cup of tea gently down beside him. "Quite the fall there, I must say. You're lucky you survived at all."

Silva groaned and stirred from his sleep. His long hair scattered around him, and his komono soaked. Where was he, why was he wet, who was the voice heard. Silva blinked, and looked up at a blonde female who was staring at him, with a cup of hot tea in her hand. He looked down at the cup beside him. Changing into an upright position, crossing his legs on the floor, he grabbed the cub and held it in his cold hands. For awhile he just stared at the cup, not saying a word. ... what happened...I can't remember anything... he thought to himself, before looking back up at the strange blonde before him.

Silva began to open his mouth as if he was going to speak, but no words seemed to want to come out. Finally he placed the cup of tea to his lips, and let the hot liquid run down his throat. The feeling was warm, and comforting. He hadn't realized how sore, and dry his throat had been. He looked back up at the woman,
"Do i know you?" was all he managed to say.

Sakura helped the man sit up a bit and take the hot cup into his hands. She couldn't help but notice little details about him that made him strange. Sure, his attire was similar to that of her people, but it was also different. As if the styles had changed. He seemed confused, as if he had never seen her before, which was a miracle in itself. Surely everyone in the land, and even possibly neighboring kingdoms could recognize her face if given a proper amount of time to do so. Yet, he seemed to have no idea who she was. Was he not from around here? Then again, he did fall from the sky, only raising more questions than answers.

As the man began to speak, she shook her head. "I suppose you do not know me. Perhaps it is best that way." Slowly rising, she paced a little before the fire, her mind racing as she tried to figure out the man she had just saved. "You fell from the sky. You landed in a field outside my..." Pausing a moment, she shook her head a bit, "the market. A horrible storm followed you." Motioning to his wet attire, she poured herself a cup of tea and quietly sipped it. "Who are you? Where did you come from?" Her mind kept nagging. Sakura had been searching for years for the key to winning her kingdom back. Had her prayers finally been answered? What if he had been sent here to help her?

Silva could tell the girl was tense, and nervous around him, though he did not know why. He watched as she paced, and asked him questions, though he could see that her mind was moving faster then her mouth could take. He just sat there sipping his tea, letting her vent, and say what she had to, listening to her questions. Though he didn't know if he could answer them all, for he had questions of his own.

When she finally stopped talking, he took one more sip of the tea, letting it refresh his sore throat, and then began to speak.
" My name is Silva Moonstone, but you may call me Sil. I come from New York City. I don't remember what happened. I was in my art gallery, and a showing, and then my mind started to play tricks on me, I saw a painting move. There was a girl... he blinked, and then looked up at the girl standing in front of him. It was her, she was the girl from the painting. But how?

Silva's mind started to race with even more questions, he now understood how the female must have been feeling. His mind couldn't make sense of it, she mentioned a storm, and the house he was in was not a modern home at all. It seemed like it was from another time.
"I don't understand what happened, or is happening..." he said in utter confusion hoping she had the answers, but by the look on her face, she was as lost in questions as him. So instead, he simply, took another sip of his tea.

OOC: sorry i had a lot of stuff going on with life, and the holidays. which HAPPY NEW YEAR BTW! i am so sorry, I hope you can forgive me.
