Well, that made sense. She knew that the particular flowers Thulani had been so interested in, the wild flowers, grew naturally in one of the little meadows down below in the Island. Already based from his accent, she could tell that he was pretty new to the City.
Before she could further the topic, he had turned away to man the front. That was fort he better, she really didn't want to have the topic turn to herself. She did not enjoy talking about herself.
Without another word, she turned her attention back to her plants, clipping and fussing them into beautiful perfection.

[... after some arbitrary amount of time has passed...] Thulani smiled lightly as he waved off a female happily abound with a few flowers, wondering how much time had even passed at this point. Glancing to the sky, now beginning to tint with orange, he suspected it had been quite a while in fact. He looked to each direction to make sure nobody appeared to be coming in (it had been slow most of the day anyways), he wiped his brow, sighed, and moved to find Aquarius in the back.
"It's gettin' kinda late," he commented, hoping to suggest that he'd like to be off on his way. A moment later, he decided against suggestion. "I think I better be off; gotta get on home be'fure it's night." He could never find his way around the city after dark... Everything looked the same!

Aquarious was already packing up shop for the day by the time that Thulani stated that he wanted to head out. "Yeah, it looks like it'll be dark soon. Why don't we get you paid and you can head out. I still have some packing up to do."
Moving towards the back, she pulled out the skein and flower filled vase, and then began to pack up some of the food and grain that had been traded. One by one, she offered them to him. "I really appreciated your help. If you're ever looking for more work, please don't hesitate to drop by."

Thulani was quick (but not too quick) to accept the fabric and the flowers, almost hesitating on those by the included vase that looked rather expensive. He did, however, accept them. As she continued to offer more things, he raised his hand and began to look fairly uncomfortable. "I really dun think I worked enough fer alla that. Just this is all I need." He motioned to what he had already accepted.
He'd take them if she insisted, of course. Would be rude not to. But he really did feel like he had enough for his effort.

A small smile came over Aquarious' face and she pushed the food into back towards Thulani. "After this morning, I really needed a break from customers. It takes a lot out of me to make small talk, so having you here really helped."
She looked over that the slowly darkening skyline. "You better get going."

Thulani laughed lightly as she insisted on putting the good onto him, honestly a bit grateful for the kind gesture. He had, after all, intended to use those boots and gloves to get these sort of things anyways, rather than the fabric. Perhaps he could show her some kindness back and make her something from it? He was never one to allow himself to feel indebted by another's kindness, and he was sure he could see that smile grow larger by it.
What a pretty smile he was sure it must be.
"Dun mention it, and thanks a bunch fer, well, ev'rythang. If ya happen to see me 'round an' need a bitta more help, just ask."
He gave her a wave before being off on his way, hoping to not get too lost on before he made it to his humble abode. Those flowers were going to look so lovely on his table-for-one.
