x► ► MEET & GREET ORIENTATION
In honor of the new school year, a meet and greet has been organized to orient the students, faculty, and staff in the proper direction. The dress code is cocktail dresses and suits. The event will start at 6:00PM on August 28th. By this time, please be in the ballroom so that the event can progress smoothly and according to plan. A series of important announcements will be made throughout this event, so attendance is strongly encouraged. Please keep in mind that this is a school function, and you are expected to behave in accordance with school rules. Your peers and teachers will be with you during this time, and you know what they say about first impressions.
x► ► DORM WIDE RETREATS
Every year, each dorm is sent on a retreat to foster a sense of comradery between classmates. In addition, it's an ideal time to meet new people and find friends. As is tradition, all of the destinations are kept under wraps until orientation, where they are announced to the entire student body. Students will leave early Wednesday morning to travel to their destinations. The trip spans 3 days and 2 nights, and most will be back in their dorms by Friday evening. Just make sure to pack appropriately, because you never know what might happen. Check back here after orientation to find more details on each retreat.
x► ► ASHWOOD RETREAT
Residents of Ashwood dorm will have a chance to travel to the picturesque vacation destination Land Ends. Sleep in beautiful log cabins, or pitch a tent under the stars. During the day, enjoy some fresh air at the beach and go swimming. Explore the shore and have a bonfire at night.
x► ► CHESTNUT RETREAT
The overall winners for last year’s inter-dorm competition, Ashhaven high school students are being sent on a cruise! Sail along the European coast during a 3 day, 2 night cruise. Enjoy the endless buffet or take part in one of the many events taking place on board. Two excursions, one at Bruges and another at St. Peter Port, gives you a chance to take in the culture and visit local shops.
x► ► CHERRY RETREAT
Where else would we send our little ones but the happiest place on earth, Disneyland Paris? You can watch one of the many performances, or spend your time riding every roller coaster in site! Munch on mouse shaped snacks, watch a parade, and fireworks show at night!
