Gorenza Oh nice I always wanted to play as "The Dark Adonis" Ahem, mid-boss. flutflut Gorenza Watching adult swim while playing my PSP was totally how I played through Crisis Core. flutflut Gorenza The time commitment these games take is beyond overwhelming. that's why I find that I prefer to play them on my psp (disgaea 1&2) and my psVita (disgaea 4). Then I can put the system in sleep mode (which, to me, is basically turned off) and continue later whenever I feel like it. I don't think I could have fought the item god without taking a break during those 100 floors otherwise. I wish they would port disgaea d2 to the vita. I dunno if it would be possible to port disgaea 5, but that would be awesome too! it's nice to just play it whenever and wherever you feel like it, instead of sitting infront of the TV. you should get disgaea on ur psp. its awesome. and disgaea 4 on the psvita comes with all the dlc from the ps3 version, so we don't have to buy the extra characters! i haven't gotten far enough to see if i can do the tournament. I'm in the post game and just got laharl.

Especially since the stat gains in Tactics are permanent, so you don't want to level up as a White Mage too much if you're trying to make a wall type character. The first time I played through, my character had really high physical stats and resistance like I had wanted, but a really low speed stat... It's nice that you can still make any type of character in Disgaea games fill any role, the main difference being how quickly they master weapon types. Gorenza Prinny is dizzily difficult. I have beaten all the original Ninja Gaidens, Mega mans, Contras, Ninja Turtles ( ahem well except for TMNT 3) they still where not as difficult as this game. You would likely want to stay far away from playing it. However, it might be worth watching a let's play. The story is still quite fun. I have to agree on the strategy aspect. When I was younger I had trouble understanding the Final fantasy tactic mechanics so I didn't get into it early on. Once I got my hands on Disgaea and really got good at it I went back to Tactics and played it through with out any problems. I say the learning curve is much more forgiving in Disgaea then tactics. Delusiah Platforming games always drive me crazy. sweatdrop I'm not especially good at most of them, but Strategy on the other hand... cool Probably why I like the main set of Disgaea games so much. Well, that and the often hilarious story line. Gorenza Don't bother with cross edge it's terrible. Prinny is cheeky fun story but, it is one of the more difficult platformers I have played. I have a massive NES collection so I've played my fair share of platformers. Delusiah I've seen both Cross-Edge and the Prinny one, but haven't played either of them. Though I really want to Play Disgaea 5, I don't have a PS4. gonk Which makes me very, very sad. Gorenza Agreed. What blows my mind about these game is they don't tend to lose there value. Which is great for someone who will run out an buy the games bran new. If you don't want to throw that kind of money around for an older game your kind of stuck. Speaking of games that celebrate the gaia universe did you have a chance to play Cross-edge or Prinny can i really be the hero? One drove me nuts due to the difficulty. Dumped hours and hours in to the final fight and finally had to rage quit. It's still on my list of game I have to go back and finish right up there with freaking Friday the 13th. The other just sucked. Who thought having all those amazing characters in a game would turn out so terrible.

Since I hadn't played Disgaea for I had to look up the Netherbattle tournament. Total spoilers for anyone who hasn't played through Disgaea. It was heavily implied that Vyers was the incarnation of King Krichevskoy. I didn't know that's how you got him in four. In disgaea 3 Vyers is simply a DLC. I assumed you didn't have to go through unlocking him in 4 and just down load him like the previous game. Interesting. I wounder if his character is slightly different in four since he referred to as Krichevskoy rather then Vyers. flutflut Gorenza Oh nice I always wanted to play as "The Dark Adonis" Ahem, mid-boss. flutflut Gorenza Watching adult swim while playing my PSP was totally how I played through Crisis Core. flutflut Gorenza The time commitment these games take is beyond overwhelming. that's why I find that I prefer to play them on my psp (disgaea 1&2) and my psVita (disgaea 4). Agreed. Tactics did have some undeniably powerful skills that allowed you to handle most situations well. I found in Disgaea all you really need is one all powerful character and a few sacrificial ones. For example I used to fight Baal by having Laharl attack him then use another character to pick up Baal to burn his turn. I loved the thief characters in Disgaea simply because they are the only way I was able to get the most amazing items. In D2, that one almighty character is probably going to be Etna. Once you've cleared the story, she gets an insanely useful second Evility, which doubles her stats if she is alone, or if the only other type of unit on your side is Prinnies. Meatshields or bombs, either way they shall serve a purpose. Gorenza Agreed. Tactics did have some undeniably powerful skills that allowed you to handle most situations well. Gorenza I used to fight Baal by having Laharl attack him then use another character to pick up Baal to burn his turn. that was my strategy for baal too. lol. I'd try to increase the combo by having everyone but the lifter attack in a row first to try to increase damage and hit rate. lol.

It was frustrating the first time I knew I was just powerful enough to beat Baal but not strong enough to steal his super robo suite and defeat him. I had to restart several times accomplished the grab. flutflut Gorenza I used to fight Baal by having Laharl attack him then use another character to pick up Baal to burn his turn. that was my strategy for baal too. lol. I don't remember if I stole it...I must have because I have one (or 2, I can't remember). my thief is nowhere near high enough level, so it must have been laharl or something...he become easier with no armor but not by much (from what I remember).
