Iah took a deep breath as he stepped into science class again. Luckily there was no tests that he had to study long hours on. It was on skeletons; well considering what he had agreed to do learning bones should be probably very beneficial to him. Plus this time he was going to make sure that he passed any tests in the future and made rather detailed notes as they watched the demonstrations. Skeletons always seemed to come up whether it was science or art so knowing the different bones would also be useful in that respect. So when it came time to do the handout he had looked over his notes enough times that other than a couple that he had to double check, he quickly wrote down the answers.

As of May 1st, you may enter four characters of each grade (freshling, junior, senior) per grading period for growth credit.
Fena wasn't sure whether he was excited or not for science class--on the one hand, science sounded like a fun subject. On the other hand, it was taught by his zither, and he was worried what would happen. He loved her very much, but what if the other kids got angry at him, or bully him, for being Mys. Grey's son? What if they thought he was cheating? Worse yet, what if she totally ignored him to save face?
He needn't have worried. Shera gave him a warm smile when he came to class, one tinged with a zither's love, and he gave her one back. Class today was just watching a video about fishes and other animals that lived in the ocean. It was actually really nice; they filled out a worksheet after the video, and Fena didn't have to interact with anyone. No one teased him or made comments--and Shera gave him a pat on the shoulder when no one else was looking. It was a good day, in all.
Frankie wasn't nearly as worried as his older brother was. He knew who his parents were, and if his teacher happened to be his zither, then there was no reason he was going to treat her as anything but his zither. Besides, he told himself, it wasn't like the rest of the class wasn't going to notice that his last name was exactly the same as their teacher. And he looked just like her, too! So what was the point in pretending?
Frankie strutted into class and sat down right in front of the teacher's desk. "Hey, Par!" He frowned when Mys. Grey's face twitched.
Zither leaned over her desk and murmured, "Not now, Frankie--just treat me like you'd treat any other teacher."
Hurt, Frankie looked away. How could she reject him like this?! Well, he'd show her how he treated other teachers...when the video started, he began kicking her desk. Just to show her how hurt he was. Her eyes got narrower and narrower as he kept kicking. He was sort of hoping for a different reaction.
When the video ended--it was a nice video, actually, Zither was very good at picking videos, but she'd shown it to him already when he had interrupted her at her computer last week--she passed out papers, and Frankie was too distracted to keep up his regime. He quieted down and filled out his sheet, too absorbed in the assignment to watch his parent. Little did he know that the twitch in her face meant that she was going to have a very long talk with him tonight about his behavior in school...
Darryl couldn't help but be intimidated by science class--honestly, he was intimidated by all of the classes, but science class was the scariest. Darryl was in Enoch house--not because he felt particularly smart or science-y, or...whatever Enoch was supposed to be, but because it was different. He felt...different from the rest of the family, and he wasn't sure why that was, even now. He just felt unacceptable odd compared to the rest of his family, so he'd picked Enoch. It wasn't what his family would have picked, with his mother being more of an Eldritch sort of person (if they had ever gone to the Academy, that is), and both Evelyn and Da being students of Arkham...
Anyway... so he was in Enoch, which was supposed to be science-y. What if he was bad at science? What if they kicked him out for being bad at science? Oh no... But today's class was just watching a video (a fun video, one with pretty music and fish, and a gentle voice explaining what the fish were and what they were doing, and that some of them weren't even fish at all), and then doing a worksheet. The worksheet wasn't too bad--he had been worried about unscrambling things, but they turned out to actually be pretty easy when he tried them. That was actually good, then... he smiled to himself and turned in the paper. Thank goodness it had gone well! He didn't think he could have picked a better science class than this.
Science couldn't be that bad, actually--Deni had always been good at science. So when he walked into the class for the first time, he was practically springing on his feet, enthusiastic for it all to begin. He plopped into his seat and prepared for a lecture. Teachers almost always did lectures, or demonstrations or...whatever. Actually, he'd heard good things about this teacher, that they sometimes did more interesting stuff...maybe they would enchant the skeleton so it could dance? Or something? Something awesome. So he was a little disappointed when they rolled out a plastic skeleton. No amount of bad puns could make up for a boring demonstration.
It wasn't an entirely uneventful lecture, however--Niol had gotten bored at some point and was starting to doodle on his desk. Deni spent part of the lecture waiting until their teacher wasn't looking, then confiscating Niol's pens and pencils, one by one. By the end, he had his twin's entire pencil set on his desk, and had to loan him back one for the worksheet. The worksheet went quickly, even with Niol poking in him in the back asking for his pencils back, or for help (what did he even need help for?! He should have been paying attention!). So...less fun than he had hoped for his first day of science at a new school...
Science class was a blast, Niol didn't understand at all why Deni walked out sulking. Niol thought it would just be some lame lecture or something, and they wouldn't do much of anything, just taking notes or something?? Which Niol didn't really care about any way, since wracking Deni's brain for answers was way more effective than reading old notes. It didn't help that Niol's handwriting was chickenscratch on the page--studying under such conditions was difficult, if not outright impossible.
Doodling on his desk was impossible, too--Deni was sitting in front of him during the lecture, so the teacher couldn't actually see him. Deni did keep turning around to snatch his pens and pencils away, so that was mildly annoying. But still, he had a blast--he'd never seen a skeleton of a non-Baphomet before--their old school had only shown them Baphomet skeletons--and it was weird to learn the bones of the ankle as the bones of the foot. The worksheet was easy (once he'd gotten his pencils back), so all in all, it was a pretty good day in science all around!
Especially with the bad puns.
Astronomy? Feh. Frankly, Kuni was surprise that they could see anything in the night sky here, the sky was so much darker than back home. Nonetheless, this was the subject of science this year, so he would have to grumble in silence. The teacher started the lecture, showing off pictures of all sorts of objects. Some of the definitions surprised him--he had thought that satellites could only be Dream-made (or Mare-made), but no, apparently there was a thing called a "natural satellite." Meh, whatever. He scribbled out some answers and went back to glaring at the pictures on the screen, wondering why any of this was in any way important.
Oo, objects in the night sky! This was a pretty neat follow-up to the stargazing class, in Nai's opinion. It would be nice to go out again next time, now knowing what all of these objects were. He couldn't quite keep track of the difference between all of the objects starting with "meteor," but thankfully their teacher was patient enough in explaining things. He just knew that this was going to be on their next test, though, so he made sure to take as many notes on those as possible, with lots of examples.

Already quite snug in his seat by the start of class Nimbus was rather attentive. Eyes fixed on the presentation. The spark of excitement behind his eyes apparent even to those who might not know him well. A break in his usual rather calm appearance, clearly interested in the subject at hand. When he was given the worksheet he was quick to complete it, scribbling down the answers in each box.

Frit was restless all morning before science class. Science. Just the word felt so right for the little imp. She even looked it up before class. knowledge about or study of the natural world based on facts learned through experiments and observation Experiments! Facts! Study! Oh how the imp was excited for the class. She sat down in the front row, as close to the teacher as the little child could get. When the movie started Frit was lost to its plethora of information. The child quickly filled out the worksheet and passed it in, thirsty for more knowledge.

Space had always been a fascinating subject to Esrael. There was just something so enticing about how big the world was and how much was still out there ready to be explored. Science was never really Rae's strong suit had never really been in science, but this was definitely a topic that he was pretty passionate about.
He quickly filled out the worksheet, most of it by memory along. When he was finished he checked over everything just to make sure it all sounded right. When he was sure that he was happy with his answers he handed in his worksheet.

Eva rubbed her face as she walked to class. The worst part about classes was waking up in the mornings. She yawned as she got to class, trying not to fall asleep during it. It was a struggle to keep her eyes open, but the video was interesting enough. There was a lot of cool stuff in the sea. She yawned as worksheets were handed out and without fanfare went about filling hers out. Maybe she could take a nap after this was over. Then she'd be better at having fun and stuff.
Unlike Eva, Nevaeh had no problems waking up and getting ready for the morning. Classes were generally pretty interesting and they were pretty fun, most of the time at least. She bounced as she made her way to class. The video was neat. Maybe she and her sister could go visit the sea some time. It looked like fun. She hummed as she filled out her worksheet and even had enough time left over to draw a little bit. She smiled at the fish she had drew. It was a good fish.
It would be an understatement to say Kaipo was nervous about his first day of class at the academy. It would be more accurate to say he was a nervous wreck. What if he didn't do good? What if no one liked him and made fun of him? He hugged his arms around himself as he got to the classroom, steeling himself for the worst. As they watched the video on sealife, some of the negativity leached out of him. He liked the ocean. He smiled slightly as he filled out his sheet and quickly added his favorite creature upon finding it missing (but that's fine because he didn't know how to spell it anyways).
