Welcome to the GBG! We're happy to have you, and we hope you'll enjoy being here. In order to ensure that the GBG is a safe, fun guild for all members, we ask that you observe a few simple rules:
1. Follow the Gaia ToS at all times.
Why? Well because they are the site rules, and we all have to abide by them. You agreed to abide by them when signing up for the site, so it's a good idea to familiarize yourself with them. Violating the site ToS puts the guild at risk, so please do your best to stick with them. This includes linking to torrenting/illegal streaming sites, pornography, or other graphic content. In short, keep it legal and PG-13.
2. Be civil and respectful towards all members.
Our guild is comprised of people with many different backgrounds, experiences, and beliefs, and we want everyone to feel comfortable. While we encourage members to discuss and explore their differences, we will not tolerate insults, harassment, flaming, trolling, or discriminatory language.
3. No solicitation.
Members are not allowed to use the GBG as a personal advertisement space whether it be goods, or any other service unless given permission from the mods or myself. This serves to protect the guild from spamming. This includes, but is not limited to: Youtube channels, art pages, blogs, music links, etc.

Also, please do not use the guild as your personal dating service. This site is targeted at minors, and as most of you know there are also adults that use the site as well. The legality of dating in regards to age are too varied and complicated, so in some places, 18 is considered legal while in others it's 16. For that reason, dating ads are absolutely forbidden. It's fine if you hit it off with another member and the two of you decide to pursue a romantic relationship; I have no control over that. I just don't want the guild to be associated with dating. This is non-negotiable and will NOT be allowed under any circumstances, so please do not ask!
4. Be mindful of where and what you post.
Here in the GBG we like to keep things fairly straight-forward. I will take a moment to explain the two main forums and explain what they are for.
General (aka, the main forum) - This is reserved for topics that inspire discussions to take place. Want to discuss video games, homophobia, favorite celeb, politics, etc? That's where those sorts of posts go.
The Chatterbox - This is for anything and everything else. Want to pimp out something you're working on? Post it! Want to make new friends? Post it! Bored and want to let everyone know it? Post it! You get the idea.
It is encouraged that you make new posts instead of reviving dead ones. We're a fairly open-minded guild, but necromancy is still taboo! Dead posts are posts that have been inactive for over a month. If you'd like to discuss the same topic then just create another one.
5. Absolutely NO linking to social media accounts/profiles.
This serves to protect everyone from stalking or harassment outside of Gaia, which we cannot do anything about. If you want to share social media links with each other through PM then that is up to you. However, posting them in guild threads is forbidden.
Edit: The exceptions to this are artist pages submitted to the Artist Corner sticky thread. However, please make sure to only submit links to your professional pages, not your personal ones.

While discussing sex and everything that entails is fine this is not an erotica site. I am a firm supporter of education, so it's okay to ask questions and share our experiences with one another. However, it should not be too graphic and cyber-sex (sexting) with other members in the guild threads is forbidden. We're all men, I understand the high sexual urges, but please take it to PM.
