✖ Brief History: Andrew was born into one of the many noble lines of the Von Helson family. Not much is known of his actual parents, but he spent most of his life growing up in the Von Helson Mansion of Count Vladimir. He became attached to the household and considered Vladimir his father and Vlad’s offspring his siblings. The Twins, Louie, and Damian, referred to him as their brother. He grew up taking fencing and enjoyed the sport. Even though he was taught that humans and other creatures were inferior, he had a fascination with the other races. Because the Von Helson household was close-minded at the time, he would wander off and learn what he could by himself. One day, he came upon an airship port and became infatuated with one day becoming an Airship Captain.
He did his best to study airships, how they were made, and the many different types of Casimir trees. When he was old enough to legally live on his own, he went out to find employment on in the merchant airship line. He spent a few years as part of the crew of a merchant airship on light wages, but he was still being funded by the House of Von Helson, until things took a turn for the worse.
In 2007, Vladimir did the unthinkable and waged war on humankind with a plan to make them not but cattle, to be raised for the feeding of vampires. As Andrew had become attached to his new friends and crewmates of many races, he opposed Vladimir’s plan. This made him be seen as a traitor to the Von Helsons. He was swiftly cut-off from receiving family funds as Vladimir was in control of them. He quit his job as a merchantman and fought in the war against his own kin and race, in hopes that Vladimir would see the light and change his ways.
After Vladimir was defeated, he was left unemployed and without funds. He had just enough money left to buy his way to the closest airship port where he heard he could find employment with freedom and high pay- Roads End. He arrived at the Roads End Airship Port to find many airship pirate crews and black market traders. He joined the first crew he could and quickly saved up his earnings to buy his own ship. Using his knowledge of air travel and swordplay, he became a well-known pirate captain and member of the Brethren of Roads End. In battle the sheer fear of his reputation and title caused his prey to quickly surrender with rarely any bloodshed. He was seen as a merciful captain if not crossed, preferring that none of his prey meet death. He generally kept any fabrics and clothing, refusing to sell them, as he was obsessed with elegant and air-worthy fashion.
He found a wife with whom he had 3 children before they had an affair as she started seeing another wealthy man while he was away in the skies. They divorced and she married the vampire she was having an affair with. However, a few months later, his ex-wife and her new husband mysteriously disappeared. Some say that Andrew was behind it, acting out of anger and vengeance, but no evidence has been found that he was involved.
During his travels, he heard and read of the stories of Gaia, the creator. He became very religious and considered himself a follower of Gaia.
When word got out that vampires were attacking demi-gods and that airship crews were being asked to aid in the efforts to save a large one, he contacted Louie and asked if he could arrange a pardon for his crimes. Louie forgivingly agreed to do so, as he was happy to hear from Andrew again. Andrew was also put back on support from the Von Helson Family and was told he was welcome back at the Manor anytime. Andrew flew into Port Denia, as he heard that a lot of the relief efforts were coming from there. When he arrived, he joined The Gaia Casimir Alliance to serve in honor of Gaia.
He has now mostly settled down with a new wife, total of 5 children of varying ages, and grandchildren. However, he still frequently flies and participates in the GCA and aids in defending the Von Helson family and others against evil/corrupt forces when needed (Such as The Don Affair).
✖ Notes: Andrew is obsessed with elegant, historic fashion associated with vampires of the past and airship captains. He is usually scene either sporting a fine suit and luxurious garb. He is fond of large, flashy coats. He is all about charisma. For a time, he wore an eyepatch over his scarred eye half to hide its curse, but also to give himself a terrifying look while a pirate captain.
Ever since his divorce, he does not like the mentioning of his former wife, Belle, or the man she went to while with him. It enrages him, and he rants about what happened, but does his best to change the subject before he goes too far. He has yet to finish telling anyone the rest of the story.
He is very defensive of his current immediate family.
