Much like the Renaissance Galaxy, the technology in the land of the Jetsons is higher advanced than that of the earth.
If you could invent something that was of higher tech than what we have now, what would it be and how would you do it?
As for myself, I would invent Pedestrian crossing gates. Similar to railroad crossing gates, these things would have flashing lights, but instead of red, they would be yellow. The gate arms would be button operated and there would be a timer for how long the gate arms stay down for. The timer would be visible for all pedestrians at the crossing and for the drivers too so the drivers have no excuse to be in rage mode for having to wait for pedestrians.
The idea for these pedestrian crossing gates is to improve overall safety for people crossing at marked crosswalks. These days, drivers do not care who they hit or who might be crossing. Pedestrians have shown an increased crime rate of "jay" walking, which I believe has everything to do with the fact that drivers fail to look at marked crosswalks so pedestrians don't give a hoot about where they cross because it is just as dangerous marked or not.
I would invent portable medical scanners that would detect any ailment along with the treatment list. Say if I had a cough that would not go away, I would use the scanner to see what was wrong and how to treat it. If it was something that needed a professional to remove, like a cancer formation, then it would tell me so. It would be a revolution to the medical community.
