So, here's a question I didn't think of - how will we handle series' of books, like Terry Pratchett's Discworld or Stephen King's The Dark Tower? Any suggestions?

I think we can read one book a month, like with stand-alones. While we're reading one volume, we could automatically put the next volume in the poll. If guild members dislike the series or if they just want to read something else for a while, they can simply vote for something else. If most of us really enjoy the series and want to keep going, then we vote for it. This way we can try things, and if we don't like a series, we're not stuck with it for months like I've seen some other guilds do... Of course, some people might not like the series and still be stuck with it for a while, or some might want to read the series faster than the guild, but I think the best we can do is still vote each month.

I find myself agreeing with FindingJackie, automatically adding the next book in a series into the poll will make things more fair and democratic.

That is what I've kept coming back to, so that sounds like what we'll be doing.
