Roll a Five: The Fire Field: A series of thick rock pillars, all different sizes of height, reach towards the stadium ceiling from a pool of hot lava. While there is a fire-proof net far below to catch any pokemon that falls off the platforms, the rock pillars themselves are hot to the touch. They can cause burns if your pokemon stand still for a set period of time. The air around the field is very heavy from the extreme heat. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to FIRE type attacks. This field reduces ICE and WATER type attacks by 25 HP.

Lenore put a hand up to her eyes to keep the heat out of them as she entered the stadium. The fire field would be of little benefit to Urabrask, and even actively harmful. He'd have to be on the move, and it wasn't often that was the case.
Kicking the ground just behind her, Lenore sent out the shedinja as she awaited her former fellow gym assistant.

As soon as Lyle stepped into the stadium, he started sweating. Worse than the heat was the fact that this field actually made things more difficult for the pokemon he wanted to use. He tossed Comet out anyway, then pulled of his hat for a moment to wipe the sweat off his forehead.

Lyle looked up to see what he'd be fighting, then sighed in regret. Fighting a bug-type, in a field that strengthened Fire moves, and he was using a pokemon without any. Oh well.
"Comet, start with Crunch," he instructed.
His pokemon, who had been shifting from foot to foot, scampered forward. He hopped from pillar to pillar as fast as he could, trying to let his feet touch the rock as little as possible. When he neared his opponent, he leaped at the bug teeth-first.

"Urabrask, dodge and use Solar Beam!"
The bug/ghost type floated backwards, out of harm's way, and began to absorb sunlight from overhead. A pillar of fire erupted between the shedinja and the floatzel, and when it fell back to the lava below, Urabrask fired the accumulated energy at his opponent.

Comet soared right past his opponent and landed on a pillar, skidding a short distance before he dug his heels in and stopped himself. He would not want to fall off. Since his focus was staying on the platform, he noticed the oncoming attack too slow and it his him dead on.
"Give it another try," Lyle called.
Comet tried to take aim this time before he took another leap at Urabrask.

Urabrask was bitten by the floatzel, but instead of trying to escape, he sent a thin tendril of blood at the water-type, trying to drain its blood as another pillar of flame erupted nearby.

Lyle couldn't see what Urabrask was doing too well, but from the way Comet cringed an backed away, it wasn't good.
"Comet, Water Pulse," he said, deciding to try something different.
His pokemon backed further away, then shot a quick burst of water at the bug.
