I'm very surprised that the WWE lets some of their wrestlers have MySpace profiles. One thing ruthless about Shane McMahon and how he's the head of the WWE media department is how they restrict wrestler freedoms on the internet. Now, I understand completely. You gotta protect the product. Fans don't need to know all of the personal details about being a pro wrestler or what occurs behind the scenes. Matt Hardy's fumbling was a perfect example of what I'm saying. The WWE has a history of penalizing wrestlers for comments on audio shows or webpages. In fact, they've ordered several closings of webpages because of revealing content. With that being said, I'm surprised they are so open to letting WWE wrestlers have myspace accounts because it runs the risk of exposing the product in an embarrassing way. The WWE should have learned from the Matt Hardy incident about revealing the affair between Edge and Lita. I agree that Matt should have been pissed, but he created all kinds of embarrassing news by a simple click of the mouse.
The sad thing about wrestling is denying your personal interactions with fans. Most wrestlers have to act as different people both in the ring and out of it. This is unlike pro sports where a Lebron James on the court is the same guy as off the court. Wrestlers play a persona, a larger than life character in the ring, and hope to be normal out of the ring. To a degree, they have to protect the business by not giving away information to fans or acting normal. Yes, the lines have been blurred within the last 15 years, but there's still a degree of protection to the wrestling business. Seeing what happened with Hardy and other heavily opinionated WWE wrestlers, their comments can pose as trouble for their own promotion.

As much as I didn't understand what you said, I sorta relate to what you're saying, some wrestlers tend to have a MAJOR seclusion to some of the fans because of the fact that some wrestlers (just overshadowing here) tend to believe that the majority of the fans are either too stupid to realize that some stuff are staged or too smart to actually show any respect to some wrestlers at all. It seems to me that some wrestlers believe that there are some sensible fans out there that don't hate any wrestlers but don't overly love wrestlers as well. I'm pretty sure it's that kind of knowledge that let the wrestlers have those specific accounts

If you look on Gregory Helms page, he tells you all the WWE people who have myspaces. All others that are not up there are fake. But there are a whole heck lot of people from TNA!
