Elin closed her eyes. "Yes, it's probably just about that simple. It rarely ever happens at all. Those who've been daring enough to change their colors usually end up joining wall duty, or helping to train new soldiers. It's a privilege to be eligible to live as a soldier in here, as is." She rubbed the ring a few more times before opening her eyes and drinking from her cup.

Wren rested her elbows on the table and leaned forward a bit, coffee cup in hands. "Mm, yeah. The only people I ever hear of coming into the Legion are fresh out of training." She closed her eyes to take a sip.
It was relatively quiet out, which was pleasing. There weren't many people out and about this early, and the few other customers sitting nearby were sitting silently, most of them reading a newspaper. Wren rolled her neck to the side to pop it and sighed. "In the meantime, I'd like to go back to my bunk to change. I'm sure you're thinking the same, though, right?"

She looked to Wren. "Ah, yes. My things are probably dry by now. It'd be best to wear them around the soldiers, it would make a bad example to run around in oversized civvies." The girl gave a little smirk, sipping her coffee. It would be awkward to make the transition. Maybe even more so than when she originally joined the military. It was hard to believe she'd even been in it at times. Frequently the ambiance was refined and high-class, as if there was nothing wrong. Lulling even the soldiers into a sense of security.
OoC: hahaha, there is currently no captain of the mp. So we can just rp through it an continue on! wow. also you diiid do a thing!!!

Wren sat back on her chair, finishing her coffee and sliding the cup to the center of the small, rounded table. She thought for a moment about how they could make the journey quickest.
"Do we need to run back by my old place? We could circle around to the town square and head for HQ from there. It's a bit of a walk, though." She laughed sheepishly, rubbing the back of her neck. She's remind herself not to wander out so far next time. All things considered, though, their spontaneous camping trip wasn't something she felt any remorse about.

Instead of proper communication, she gave a little grunt of agreement, working on leisurely finishing her coffee. Ah, caffeine. It was certainly making Elin feel a bit more alive. "I'll carry you... Otherwise, you'll just have to camp out at your place while I do what's needed of me." Finally finishing, she set down her mug and stood up.
OoC: yep. And yeah, that stuff is actually a lot of fun.

The brunette snickered. "You really think you could carry me? I'm almost a foot taller than you," she stood and maneuvered herself to stand shoulder to shoulder with the other girl to demonstrate their height difference. With a raised eyebrow, she smirked. "I'd bet I could beat you there if we raced," she added, putting her hands on her hips.
Where was all this coming from? Wren thought over the past few years, and tried to remember an occurrence like this. She'd not really had a friend to interact this way with since her brother passed.

"You underestimate my strength and speed?" She put her hands on her hips, looking rather annoyed. "Aren't we a little old to be having a race, anyways?" However, suddenly, Elin had a glint in her eye. Without a moment's notice, her feet dug into the ground and she made a break for the house. The caffeine aided her a certain distance, and the head start coupled with the speed she had kept her in the lead. But, several yards from the house, she slowed down to a stop, leaning against the wall of the house. She'd...lost. Her pupils were small. The ginger felt ill.
OoC: same, but i rarely use the character builder in gaia

[Wren Harbinger]Somewhat startled by Elin having darted out of view so quickly, Wren sprinted after her, ignoring the strange looks sent in her direction. She ran around the corner and didn't see the redhead. Had she gone through the alley? Thinking quickly, she decided to weave through the back way.
Skidding through the gravel to a halt in front of the house, Wren looked around for a moment before spotting Elin, approaching from up the street. She looked exhausted, but more so than just running should've caused. "Hey, you alright?" She asked, still catching her breath. As the other girl got closer, she could see that her face had gone somewhat pale and her pupils seemed to have dilated. "s**t, are you sick or something?" She leaned forward a bit to inspect her face better, reaching to touch the back of her hand to Elin's cheek to see if she was feverish.

"I'm not usually this slow, I..." She trembled slightly. "Coffee and alcohol and running didn't work out so good. Show me where the bathroom is, so we can get on our way already." Apparently she wasn't doing as well as she'd thought. It was a bad habit to ignore things until they stopped her in her tracks. "I don't want to get sick on your front lawn, after all." Elin smiled weakly.
OoC: you link me. i just use other sites with other formats than the gaiaonline avatar. rinmarugames and that such sort stuff. sleeepytimessss
