Quote: Was the tree of the knowlege of good and evil, a test of our obedience, or a way for us to choose to become more intelligent. I believe that it was choice. Without giving man a choice, man would never be more than a very complicated wonderfully made machine. It's the concept of choosing God over all other things that's the proof of love, and the obedience that comes from loving God rather than the obedience from having no other choices. So I wouldn't say that it was a test of our obedience, but more a choice for mankind. I don't think it's a way for man to become more intelligent, because the knowledge of good and evil is just a loss of innocence. We understood both good and evil, and felt the lure towards that self-gratification at the cost of others. Quote: I would ask God about the beginning of creation, what it was like before he created humans. I would ask about how prayers work exactly; what they do, and what the angels do in response to them. There's a quote from C.S. Lewis that says something along the lines of, "prayer is one of the many coordinates by which God plots the future" or something like that. I thought it might be relevant ^^I would ask God what are the best pranks He's pulled on people. Because God's hilarious, and I know He's done stuff >.>

Lithanus Was the tree of the knowlege of good and evil, a test of our obedience, or a way for us to choose to become more intelligent. A test of obedience right? Because God said "don't eat from this tree".
