Appalachian Rigs
Danger Level: 2
Paths
--Archway Cemetery--
--Asheville--
Nestled into the Appalachian Mountains in Northern Carolina, these automated rigs are designed to be completely self-sufficient as they both mine for precious minerals and oils. The machines that work the systems have been programmed extremely well for the sole purpose of being resistant to attack by A.I. enemies or reprogramming of any kind. They carry out their duties with no resistance or thought at all. The machines of old--mindless and safe. When the depositories are full of the minerals or oil that these specified machines collect, they are brought to a drop-off bay where they await pick-up. These deposits are then collected by the B.A.I.T.R, as they are the only organization willing to take the risk of actually going out into the danger zones.
There are several large rigs within the area, both up in the mountainous areas and in the flat lands. The several rigs that are in the area are all in function, and all of them are completely unmonitored, save for the few baiters who come now and then to check if the depositories are full. That means that even if they are being run without issue, there can always be A.I. Cores lurking about the area. There are no defense systems in place, and the automated workers would just float on by the enemies without a second glance.
