------ The Aegis Foundation welcomes you to the ranks of the defenders of humanity. We are a military outfit with no borders or country divisions. We are owned by no one and we fight for all. We work outside the normal means of military commands from governments. While we do recruit and receive compensation for our actions and protection, we take orders from only those inside our own Corporation. To simplify us as a paramilitary organization would be a gross and disrespectful assumption. We are men and women striving to protect humanity. We aid in relief and we invent new technologies to which are sold and given to the proper channels and proper owners who wouldn't abuse it.

As our logan says we are Humanity's Finest, Earth is our homeland and race has no measure here. Gender has no measure here. Even past allegiances and history. Once you join our core, you become another to the phalanx. You lose all nationality here, you lose your motherlands and fatherlands. You earn a shield, A spear, and a realization. Earth is your homeland. And it's peoples, you become their guardians, their protectors.


Created in order to protect humanity against several threats, mostly what would it appear to be other lifeforms inside the Rifts, and areas around it. However it wasn't the only thing to take one of our founders attention. It was the Auras. While we don't know what the lifeforms on the other side of the rift want, we do know what insurgency, terrorist acts, and government manipulation and general malicious actions human under take. They been living beside us, acting as us, acting human. However they are different species from us--no matter how compatible we are with them, its that similarity that we can't trust them. Humans are too destructive and too young to deal with such powers, but imagine the rare chaos one could insight with Aura.

Hundred dead? Thousands? No. A State? No. It's bigger than governments and countries. Score of people could die just by one lucky Aura. How can we prevent them from wearing a human face and then live our lives, and then on the bad day we are all going to have in our life--they kill off everyone in their house and their town. In your suburbs. How can we protect the helpless.

Become their shield. That is your duty.

-- Aegis Headquarters is currently held in an unknown location. However after each mission you will be sent into a stasis sleep so that the location cannot make it out prying eyes of espionage and spy agencies who dare destroy what we built. However the base is heavily guarded and could withstand bombardment for months, or even years--Depending on how antsy Dr. X is feeling and decides to go on a upgrade spree again. The Station is heavily guarded and we doubt even NATO could pose a strong enough threat to the base. It houses multiple R&D sections, Live Fire Training and Training Rooms.

The Headquarters is called that only due to the secrecy of the Foundation. Leaving the name and location on a need to know basis. Transportation is automated, but has emergency activation through the monitoring of one of our leaders. Dr. X. He will be your contact with your squad and will give you Mission data and analysis as you go on excursions and scan objectives.

---- Escutcheon Squad

--This is your squad. Your friends. Your Family. Your fellow Human beings. However realize the mission is priority and the protection of humanity come first in all aspects. If the overseer deems a member too hostile or too detrimental to the effectiveness of the overall mission, they're well-being in the field will be more of a second hand thought. Make note of this. You follow orders, you are merely a shield and spear to the phalanx. No greater than the sum of the whole and no greater than the individual next to you. We do follow basic chain of command. Meaning that there is a commander, but in the grand scheme he is wizened and battle hardened. Shown to be useful and takes humanity as first priority. However Escutcheon is different, the commander is Dr. X and you will recieve orders from him--you exist outside the normal lines. You exist as shields that wander and clash.

There is no othrodox rank with your squad. It is designated as "Escutcheon" and you will be granted near high-level access. Within Reason.
