Gondora City

Welcome to Gondora City. A metropolis on the ocean--a floating city like nothing that has been seen before. The greatest scientific minds developed the highly advanced floating structure during B.A.I.T.R's conception. It was here that the H.A.L.F surgery was perfected, and where the very first baiters were born. At first it was built to be a safe-haven for humanity if the rest of the world were to fall, but eventually things changed as more and more baiters were created. Now the staff populate the city, ranging from engineers who work on maintaining the structure and improving it, to soldiers and commanders of the baiter armies. All communication to the rest of the world's B.A.I.T.R bases is conducted within Gondora City, and it is the safest place on earth. The amount of alien technology within the city vastly outmatches any other countries holdings, and they put it to good use. They even designed a code-shield around the city that scans any code that attempts to enter and if not registered beneath a Code Core held by an active baiter, the shield will deconstruct the code instantly, destroying whomever it belongs to along with the code itself. The city remains vastly empty, due to the fact that it is an emergency stronghold. There is plenty of space to evacuate the world's population to the structure, but for now, many baiters come here to get away from the world and its problems. There are libraries and laboratories, bars and clubs, resorts and spas, and many other amenities that you could think of.

Aside from being a relaxing place to escape to, Gondora City is also the main hub for collecting rewards for missions, gaining promotions, communicating with baiters from across the world, and upgrading your Code Cores. The Baiter Bases located in each continent serve these purposes as well, but nobody can do anything quite as well as the top notch employees that work in the Headquarters. This place is a very common area for people to come in order to forge alliances and build squads to take on more difficult missions across the globe.

**In Gondora City, the entirety of the city will be available to RP within a few separate threads. The RP threads will be posted separately from this one, as this thread is only to outline what types of places will be located in each of the areas within Gondora City.**

Locations

Main Facilities

Portal Room

The Portal Room is located in the base of the largest tower in Gondora. This tower is placed directly in the center of the structure, and it serves to house the most important room in the entire city--if not the entire world. The Portal Room is where molecular transport and deconstruction was pioneered, allowing the people of the B.A.I.T.R organization to effectively teleport their operatives anywhere on the globe, as well as being able to receive them instantaneously from any location with an active teleportation device (usually Baiter Bases are the only facilities that have these). The only other way to reach the city is through knowing the exact coordinates of the city--or being extremely lucky. This is because the Code Shield that protects the city from any A.I. invaders also renders the city completely invisible from the outside world. After passing through the shield and its security checks, the city will be fully revealed, but it is impossible to find from the outside.

Main Office

The main offices are housed above the portal room--far above it. They are situated within the mushroom cap at the top of the tower, and it is very well guarded. These offices are where the Commander In Chief of the B.A.I.T.R organization is usually found, and it will be where all important briefings and promotion meetings will be held. The only way up is through an elevator just outside the Portal Room, and this elevator stops one level below the offices. This level is a reception area, and the receptionists handle most of the inquiries, unless they specifically need the Commander's attention, or any other member of the Upper Echelon. These receptionists are extremely well trained, and have the ability to destroy most enemies with their hands tied behind their backs, but for the most part seem like rather nice folks.

Baiter Rebirth Center

The Baiter Rebirth Center is an affront to the gods, and where humanity has been gifted eternal life. No regular human can undergo the processes that occur here, but patients that have undergone the H.A.L.F Procedure are able to endure the bodily stress that it causes. Each and every Code Core that is assigned to a baiter has an intimate connection to that person's life force. It connects itself to the very molecular structure of the person who wields it, and enhances every aspect of their body through inputting artificial code into their bodies and programming the very cells that comprise their being. Whenever a Code Core detects its master's death, it immediately freezes all cell activity within their body and emits a high-power signal that is specialized for the Rebirth Center. When the Rebirth Center picks up this signal, it immediately locks on to all the cells that match the Code Core that was transmitting the signal. Immediately the Core will deconstruct the baiter's body and they will be teleported directly to the Rebirth Center and reconstructed. It is here that the technicians will reassemble the body and repair any damages done to it before resuscitating the victim.

Core Development

Core Development is in a large facility located quite close to the main 'Gondoran Tower' that the Portal Room and Main Offices are housed within. The facility is where all of the work on Code Core advancement and enhancement takes place. The technicians here are indispensable, as they are the only people with the knowledge to enhance the Cores or provide new ones for Baiters worldwide. They deliver the finished work to Bases on occasion, but most of the time it is required for the individual to come in person to the labs to have their Code Cores worked on. They are even doing studies on how to implant the A.I. Cores into objects other than the Code Cores in order to create super intelligent drones and other military tech to protect the world.

Containment

The Containment zone is a place where the B.A.I.T.R confines A.I. Cores to be used in the H.A.L.F Procedure, as well as a containment area for baiters who have gone AWOL. Traitors to the organization are imprisoned for life cryogenically, and there is no parole. Seeing as the B.A.I.T.R organization is its own law, they do not need to give their operatives a fair trial, but instead they merely put them on ice if they side with the enemy. Those who are lucky enough are killed in action before they arrive at this facility. Other than the beginner A.I. Cores and Traitors, it is said that there is a secret level to this lockbox that houses A.I. too dangerous to attempt integrating with a Code Core. Legends that can not be freed from their prisons.

City Streets

Gondora

The City Streets of Gondora are hectic and bustling in the downtown sections. This is where everyone goes to eat their meals, down their drinks, and just genuinely relax after the long days of working in the main facilities or the long trips fighting A.I. Cores around the world. There is a busy and exciting nightlife in the core of Gondora, but there are also plenty of locations to have a nice quiet coffee or a stroll. Trains run throughout the entire city, making it very easy to get around to whatever areas you wish to visit, but the further away from the central core of the city you go, the less people inhabit it. The outer sections of the city completely empty in case of global evacuation. The streets are a good place to meet people, or get information, as well as escaping daily life.

Humble Beginnings

Humble Beginnings has become a pub well known across the world for its old stylings. It feels as though you have marched back into the late 1900s, and this nostalgic feeling often gets people excited. It is a nice, no nonsense, quiet place to get a pint, smoke whatever you like to smoke, and grab some delicious food while you're at it. The owner has run the pub since he was fifteen, and it has been in his family for generations. They are kind people, and they love their establishment more than anything. It is often busy due to the renown that it carries with it, but it somehow manages to maintain a very relaxing atmosphere. There are plenty of other pubs around the city, and the Humble Beginnings is merely a popular one of them.

Market Streets

There are many small pockets around Gondora that house areas like this. The Market Streets have many outdoor restaurants and bars, as well as shops for almost anything that you could possibly want to buy. These areas are often located in the dingier parts of the city, but there are also upscale market areas around the Main Facilities as well that the baiters often frequent. Though, the poorer workers of the city usually end up in the slummier parts of town, where the food, drink, and everything else is a lot cheaper.

Club Serenity

There are few places on earth that you can indulge in almost any human desire as easily as you can within Club Serenity. Aside from the willing men and women who work there to satisfy their customers intimate desires and needs, there are a few bars, smoke rooms, and dance floors located within the building. The music never stops, and the Club never closes. The parties within these walls are seemingly endless, and the people who fuel them are tireless. It is a surreal area, and many people lose themselves within it, forever falling victim to the euphoria of Serenity. There are many other clubs littered throughout the city, though Serenity is one of the few with such a well known name.

Retreats

Jade Heart: Resort and Spa

The Jade Heart is one of the few resorts on the island city of Gondora, but it has managed to segregate itself well from the downtown sector of the city, and they have built a very natural seeming area within the urban cityscape. This nature-oriented design gives a break from the endless steel and glass that make the city up, and it allows for a more relaxing environment. The Resort and Spa are almost exclusively for baiters, and many baiters permanently decide to reside in this building. The Spa services are top notch, and they can offer any service that a normal spa would offer, though many patrons attempt to get more than your average 'massage' and are very quickly punished for it by the security.

Gondoran Library

The Gondoran Library is located only a few blocks from the Jade Heart, and it was brought here so that it would not be disturbed by the constant thrum of the city sounds. In the quiet of this place, they have housed hundreds of thousands of books. These countless volumes of text contain many novels written before the city was even built. The collection is impressive even to those who do not respect or find solace in literature. Books dating back to the eighteen hundreds are still shelved here, and the collection grows endlessly. It is one of the few places on earth where there is a safe storage of paper-back and hardcover books, instead of having books on E-Readers.
