The mongoose hissed right back even as he was jabbed good by the spear, and backed up before attempting to fling both kukris at the snake as hard as he could.

Sam rolled across the ground, hissing in pain. His movements were far more sluggish then when the fight first began. He shifted to one side, bleeding from the many wounds, and hurled his spear at Max in his dwindling rage.

The mongoose saw the weakness and acted on it immediately, ignoring his own body wanting rest. He saw him draw back to throw the spear, and though it cost him a slice on his hand, he caught it, and as he ran at the cobra without fear, twirled the spear around to attempt to stab its owner with it, snarling all the while.

Sam swayed backwards, and jerked as his own weapon was turned against him. With a rather strange slowness he toppled to the ground. Sam fell unconscious in the sands, the tip of his tail twitching as the only lingering sign of his agitation.
