Appearance: Hairstyle and Color:Some of Veshka's long straight dark hair is volumous and plentiful. The back of her hair cascades down her back reaching as far as her butt, while the sides of her hair is parted over her shoulders for added volume before being loosely braided on either side at her collarbone tapering ever tighter as the braid meets it's end at her shins. As for her bangs they are long and unkempt asides from a lazy pin attempting to keep them somewhat pulled back. Skin/fur Colors: Hands and feet are darker in comparison to the rest of her body and as they move up the limb the colour gradients into the lighter skin colour. Eye Color: Her sclera are black with bright red irises, or possibly a solid red colour if that doesn't break canon. Details: This youthful Nightmare appears to be more trouble than she's worth starting with her devious expression highlighted by her keen gaze, bright alert eyes, and toothy V shape grinch like grin. Racial Features: Obviously this is mostly up to artist choice how the hybrid mix interacts with each other, but I was hoping for Chimera wings, Geist eyes, and luminous Geist patches. Markings: > Surrounding her eyes are vine like marks similar to this. > Veshka prefers to wear black lipstick and mascara to make her eyelashes look fuller. > The Geist luminous patches on her body are jade green in colour. Clothing and Accessories: > Fashion Style: Veshka prefers to work in more traditional magic attire. She finds a lot of inspiration in mages past and because of this she emulates their fashion as well as their working style. > Clothing: > Accessories: Bright red glasses. Refrences: > Colour Palette > > Character Refrences as Different Species

Personality:
Qualities:
> Studious & Curious
At a very young age Veshka had grown quite fond of reading. The school always had an abundance of books to immerse oneself in and being a particularly shy nightmare from the start Veshka felt comfortable immersing themselves within her stories rather than asking another to play. She particularly enjoyed play scripts in her younger years which would allowed her to set the stage to physically act out the events in her favorite stories for fun and thus leading into her second pass time, acting. However as she grew older her interests began to diversify the more she began exploring her local library for reading materials whether it be fiction or otherwise. When it comes to reading Veshka is highly self motivated.
> Resourceful
Thanks to her local library and invested time there Veshka has become competent at finding information needed for class assignments and utilizing her resources there. Nothing excites her more than someone asking her for help when it comes to books, so despite her shyness and overall selfishness she'll go out of her way to help and may even seem thrilled to do so because it fills her with a sense of pride.
> Energetic
Veshka never seems to stop. A true get up and go character her days are so packed full she barely gets time to sleep and getting ready for nap or bed time is usually a difficult task which requires concentration that she would rather spend elsewhere. Somehow she manages to fit in school, drama club, and self studying all in one day almost every day of the year. It's only when her interests are not being met does it seem like she has any lack of energy.
Flaws:
> Self Serving
Veshka is a particularly selfish nightmare that finds it hard to motivate themselves to do things for others that doesn't give them some form of fulfillment or gives them something back in return. Often when a situation requires her to do something for someone for nothing she does so begrudgingly and much to her dissatisfaction.
>Emotionally Distant
Emotionally Veshka is distant and has a hard time understanding the feelings of others. This has a lot to do with her emotional immaturity, but it is not to say she has no feelings what so ever for others. Rather she just takes a longer time warming up to others and learning individuals personal emotional traits ques. This is something she's working on actively because she believes it gets in the way of socializing, and finds drama class to be helpful in picking up on body language and expressing emotion.
Likes:
> Learning
One of Veshka's greatest passions is learning stemming from her unsatisfied curiosity. This has resulted in a large collection of books and studious behavior.
> Drama
The theatrical arts continues to be a long favored pass time as oppose to other forms of playing. It's something she can really immerse herself having to memorize her lines, along with it being helpful in learning how to better interact with others. There is so much teamwork that is involved with performance arts that she finds the challenge fulfilling when socializing would otherwise would be frustrating. Maybe it's because she can relate to the people she works with because they have something in common with her, but whatever the case she finds it helps gets past her shyness which she views as a wall to her growth.
> Magic
Very similar in that she is a dramatic person, Veshka likes flamboyant magic as both a form of expression and performance. She's even curious to how she could include this within her performance arts, but the safety measures to do so may be too much of a barrier to be able to pull off. Regardless the idea of mixing both interests is an exciting one indeed. However unlike drama which she views as a pass time Veshka is quite serious in pursuing magic as a profession. Her particular interest lies in potion making as it allows her to spend more time outside gathering ingredients, but there is a lot to be learned from other forms and styles of magic that she doesn't imagine she'll be studying within her life time.
> Fruit
Veshka's favorite food to eat are pears. In fact she refrains from eating anything made of meat not because of morality issues, but she simply likes the taste of fruits and vegetable based products better.
> Outdoors
When the library becomes too stuffy, or when Veshka is overwhelmed by the energy within the drama club she finds it relaxing to retreat outdoors. Out there she spends her time not so much for the exercise, even though that's a great way to clear her mind, but rather to take walks in seclusion to help calm and center herself before going back in. Meanwhile on those walks she forages for local ingredients that she might use in her personal alchemy.
Dislikes:
> Violence
After reading so many history stories that revolve around violence Veshka has developed an aversion to violence and avoids it at all costs. Perhaps it's because she is a coward, but she also doesn't care for the brutish behavior violence attracts.
> Prying
She care's not for people prying into her business either because it's a bother to try and explain the many thoughts running through her mind that resulted in the action, or because she's defensive and hard to trust in others. Give her time and she will open up to you in her own way.
> Limitations
There are only so many hours in a day, so many classes you can take at once, so many opportunities and paths you can take in life but there is never enough time, energy, or resources to explore them all. That being said Veshka is frustrated by nothing more than her own limitations. She knows she has a problem connecting with others be it because of her shyness or having difficulty expressing her emotions, but tries very hard on better developing those skills. However she knows that there are other aspects of herself and her personality that she can't change and finds it difficult to accept her own limitations and flaws.

Bio:
Veshka much like many of the other students at the academy was born of the crystals found in the expansive cache and was taken in by the school. Despite being a hybrid that was never what set her apart from the other students, but rather her reclusive nature did. As a child she didn't spend much time playing with others, but instead kept to herself reading books at the school's library and pretending to be characters in the stories she read. It was thanks to this interest in the dramatic arts that she begun to spend more time with other nightmares and daydreams allowing her to build some semblance of social skills.
Within the oncoming years Veshka spent more time invested in other subjects allowing drama to be a secondary study, a pass time if you will as she delved deeper into the science of magic. Alchemy was what interested her most, but if she could she would spend her whole life as a student studying every style of magical knowledge she could get her hands on.
As for her present life Veshka is a student at the academy and is very focused on her studies taking little time to relax or spend on personal relationships. This is a good opportunity to role play her trying to balance real life with school, as well as making friendships with other's who are more outgoing than her who are stubborn to make a friendship, or can relate to her in her shyness and detachment.

Cherie is aware of light. Not the warmth of it, as it has not yet risen past the tree line on this cool early autumn morning, but she is aware of the soft glow that fills her clouded deaden sense of sight. This is how most mornings begin well before dawn and with resentment for the day ahead. Instead of getting ready she lays there motionless hoping for the moment to last until she can focus her eyes into making the image of her ceiling light fan clear. This however is interrupted by a loud bang of the wall next to her bed. It would seem some of the other students are already beginning to wake up. How long had she laying there awake? At least another hour as the light now filled the room with it's warmth.
With a scoff she turns out of bed rubbing her dried scratchy eyes which desperately needed some drops. Without fumbling around she navigated her room like a secretary would a filling cabinet. Cherie had her room mapped out perfectly and while she didn't need a walking stick in here unfortunately the bathroom was not a private attachment and outside of her room was a different story. Leaving her room was the hardest moment to work up to every morning.
The thought of which brought many hard questions in mind. Why couldn't they threat her like they did before? "I can hear the way you talk to me it's not the same as when we were friends. Can't you hide the pity in your voice for just a second? At least wait until I leave the room." These were the thoughts that filled her mind as she was trying to find the nerve to leave her room. Her hand was hovering over her bedroom door handle.
She knew that if she didn't do something soon she might as well not go to class. Looking aside she quickly flung herself out the door shutting it quickly behind her careful not to slam it. After which the rest was as expectedly awkward. Rinse and repeat, this is the new routine, but her mind started to regret her earlier apathy. Had Cherie gotten out of bed when she woken she could have avoided all this unnecessary interaction with others and possibly would even have the bathroom to herself.
"I should do that tomorrow." She thought as she was now back in her room cleaned and getting dressed. Yet another coping mechanism which brought her farther away from accepting herself and recovering.

~Staff Crit~ Appearance: -Yes you would mention what body type she'll be when she's a Senior. -You mention hooves? She's part Bapho? Personality: -Please be aware that Freshlings are not capable of intentionally performing magic. The only Freshlings that are capable of doing any magic are Chimera children who do it accidentally and they can only set fires, and Geist children who may accidentally phase out. But they are not capable of doing any intense acts of magic. An innate skill at magic wouldn't manifest until she was at least a Junior. -What kind of magic is she interested in? The only thing I can think of that might result in some sort of explosion would possibly be Alchemy... Backstory: -Honestly I think this whole backstory for her accident would suit much better in her Junior years. As Freshlings can't do magic, there is no way she'd have been allowed anywhere near anything that dangerous and possibly volatile. -Is she supposed to be in Arkham or Enoch in her backstory? You just mention an interest in drama which would be Arkham, but what kind of magic interests her because Enchanting and Alchemy are both in Enoch, while Illusion is Arkham (and unlikely to explode) or Divination in Eldritch (also unlikely to explode). Prompt: -I assume this is the failure to her race prompt? Please put it in the quote. -Prompts are supposed to be written at the age that you acquire the character. Honestly her backstory and the magic thing need to be reworked, if you would like to discuss it you can PM me and we can talk about things that would and wouldn't be possible. Right now the accident and her magical ability don't work for the age you're trying to acquire her.

Just wanted to let you know that I read what you have said and I'm working on fixing some of the mistakes that you mentioned. I hadn't gone back through the quest thoroughly enough to notice the hooves. That was when I was still mulling over what race I wanted her to be. I'm glad you noticed it. I'm going through the profile and fixing any mistakes as to make it clear which race she is. > Changes in colour comps and colour patterns wont be a problem. I hadn't realized that changing skin tone was such a large thing about any give race, but that was my misunderstanding. I'll try and find a repetitively flat skin tone that will work well for her. > I'm a little confused with how you choose the body types. I see people choosing things like A3, but I only see letters indicating each body type. Is there something I am not noticing? > I'll have to go into more detail of what kind of magic she's into. It will likely be alchemy, but I was thinking of something more flashy and showy which would describe how her previous mindset would be like. She used to be a very flamboyant sociable person who enjoyed the attention being good at her studies would get her. Simply put she was a show off and that eagerness to do so was what created the accident. You were right in that the age I have her put at is too young for that kind of advanced magic. I'll probably age her up one more stage if you think that's a more- reasonable age for a young nightmare to be studying that far. Can I purchase art of my Nightmare in her previous stages, but play as and older self? > I have Cherie in Arkham because of her love for studying. I hadn't realized that the students in any given dorm couldn't have hobbies outside of their dorm's specialized field. Magic is the career she wants to peruse, but for club activities she's was interested in drama. This is a past tense however as she doesn't put herself out like that any longer. She used to participate in plays but no longer feels comfortable doing so. Can my Nightmare join clubs that have activities outside of their dorm's specialization? > Asides from adding detail about the kind of magic she used and when the accident occurred is there anything about the backstory that we have to discuss?

-Actually her skin thing is fine! We had a talk about that last night and decided to drop it from be a Demon only kind of thing. -I think when they're adding numbers, they are possibly selecting out premade hair and faces and that sort of thing. Or also selecting their junior stage. -I think Junior will be more appropriate for her to possibly start showing a true magical talent. It may still be difficult because the body is already going through all the changes that come with puberty and she may have off days, but yes she could start to show a true talent for magic once she's a Junior. -For Quest RP Prompts? No, they have to be written at the stage you are going to receive the character. It's kind of supposed to show us some of those traits in her personality working together. Considering a great deal of her character revolves around what happens after the accident, you may want to just purchase her as a Junior instead of a Freshling, otherwise the prompt needs to be written as her much younger self. -Yes! She can totally have interests from outside her house's focus! I merely asked because she had so much interest in drama, and not knowing what kind of magic she was focused on, I didn't really see why she was in Enoch outside of the studying, but if she's focused on Alchemy then it all makes sense in my head now. -Most of the problems in her backstory revolved around her age. There was just a lot of concern over her being anywhere from 4-11 years old and basically playing with fire. She'd have gotten the magic teacher fired! Or if an older student got it for her, them expelled!
