Because of these new developments in the island, so too came new invaders, new fae folk of a large variety other than just elfs, and fairies or goblin kind. Because of these newly developed races, also came with the internal struggle, and warfare amungst them. The fairy kingdom united with those of mystical meadows and the elf village, whereas the dark forest allied themselves with the crystal caves, and the magical lagoon. The white forest is a nation based on neutral terms, and will fight for both sides, as long as they see an outcome that benefits them. As for the humans, they recently made peace with the Elvaan kind, yet are struggling with the racial war of slang termed names with one another. Yet be as it may, with the treaty balancing on thin wire, they both have two common enemies. The Drow, and the Ghast.
True, the Humans are unaware of the Fae folk, seeing as how there is a thick enchanted forest shielding the human eyes from ever seeing a real fae. Though, that doesn't mean that humans cant enter the forest. By all means, they are capable of going inside, yet the law enforced by the king himself and backed by the queen herself, none are allowed to enter. The humans are incapable of magic, therefore, they do not believe in magic, and those seen entering the enchanted forest or even come close to its borders, are deemed mad, and sentence to life in the dungeons. It was because of this hard disbelief that there was strife between the Elvaan race, and the humans.
Though, at long last that war has recently ended with the new treaty stating that magic is real, but cannot be performed in the human colony, for it will be seen as treason. What humans cannot understand, they fear, and eventual will do anything to prevent it from baring fruit. However, as years developed with the treaty still in place, it is not uncommon for a rare opportunity for outer racial love, such as fae falling for a human or a human falling for the Elvaan kind. Though it is forbidden, these transactions still persist in secret.
