➳ He is pretty good at:
- ✓ Fighting.. With or without weapons this kid has a natural gift for destruction and bloodshed that is helped with his semi-enhanced reflexes and flexibility. Because of his slender frame he tends to favor small blades and a steel Knuckle on his left hand.. The rest is a mix of full-body combat and fluid evasions to wear his enemies out before taking them down.
- ✓ Stealth and infiltration, he may not like his body but he is damn good at using it to hide or infiltrate difficult places. He just doesn't look dangerous.. as long as he keeps his weapons to himself.
- ✓ Playing with people, he just loves getting reactions out of those around him with clever or twisted misconceptions.. All due to his dumbfounding ability to simply 'change' his personality when he feels like it. He can adapt to a new persona at the drop of a hat, deceiving even the sharpest of foes.. most of the time. He's still young, and even gifted with such acting skills he has much to learn before he becomes a true chameleon.
➳ But on the other hand he is bad at:
- ✗ Self Control. It isn't wise to let him get too close explosives or fire arms, he is skilled enough for both but not nearly mature enough to use them wisely.
- ✗ Making friends. He's a pro at pissing people off.. given enough time he can make even a saint swear with his short temper and filthy mouth.
- ✗ Emotional/Trust Issues. In his mind there is always a ulterior motive behind people's actions, it isn't a question of 'if' they will betray him.. only 'when'. Still he can't help but become attached to those that treat him well, craving the social-bond even if he knows that eventually he will regret it.
➳ You can always give him:
- ✓ Fights.
- ✓ Food.. Junk food preferred.
- ✓ A gullible sucker to tease.
➳ Though you can keep:
- ✗ Comments about his feminine appearance.. It sets off his temper, and he'll mentally torture anyone he can't outright fight. Even when in a persona.. he'll find a way to avenge himself.
- ✗ Manners or 'civilized' behaviors.. It isn't impossible to brow beat him into using them, but it is a damn difficult battle all the same.
- ✗ Physical contact.. he suffers from Aphenphosmphobia- The Fear of being touched. He can power through it if he must but sudden touches can startle him and forced contact will make him freeze up or panic even when he is 'in character', most mistake his evasive behavior for 'rudeness' instead of 'fear'.. He prefers it that way.
➳ He tends to act like:
- A innocent, shy, boy who loves books and seems to be an air head.. No? What about a Soldier-in-training, quiet and noble yet just dying to prove his value? He has adapted many alter egos to use at a moments notice, each persona developed and tweaked until he is as comfortable in them as he is in his natural state of mind. But what is his natural personality, you may ask.. Caed is a violent, adaptive, crude, and spiteful little brat. Quick to jump into the fray if there is a fight and just as ready to start one if someone crosses him in some way. Caed has a inferiority complex about his feminine appearance/body.. Unleashing his childish temper on whomever points it out regardless of if he has a chance to win the battle or not. He plays dirty, he lies, he cheats, and worse he rarely feels bad about any of it.. truly a pessimist with a sadistic edge to his twisted and strange humor. Yet for all this he is feisty, upbeat, and strong willed; Under his fiery.. and admittedly brazen.. temperament the boy has a softer, less abrasive, side. Typically when no one is around to see him doing nice things of course, he dislikes people seeing his 'idiotic' good deeds.
He isn't the hero type, risking his own skin for strangers just sounds moronic to the boy, but for someone he actually likes.. Caed will step in on their behalf, helping even if it isn't exactly in the manner that his comrade expects. He may not look or act it, but the kid is viciously loyal and somewhat tame towards those that show him trust and kindness. Emotions have far more sway over him than logic so he'll generally act on impulse and instinct, prone to jealousy and possessiveness when it comes to those few individuals he is fond of.. and more than willing to punish his unknowing rivals for getting near his friends. He's still young, naïve in romantic matters and oblivious to the fact that he isn't indomitable. Caed tends to speak in Asgolas when he is frustrated or talking to himself, the language natural on his tongue.
➳ So far his life has been:
- A series of changes, he's been on the move since a very young age.. Starting on the Planet Westenra and eventually making his way into the Stratos Lunar Colony, transitioning from 'Thief' into 'Smuggler' as if the roles were really any different. Where exactly he and his (half) brother originated he will never say, mainly because he really can't remember.. they moved so often his only memories are of running and hiding. He does know that his father was half Suldari.. Remembers enough of the language and training the male gave him to still use it in the present.. but what happened to him and why is a mystery. Sasha, his brother, stepped into the role of 'caretaker' and spirited them away from that bitter place.. They roamed the Desert Planet for years, jumping from town to town as if it were perfectly natural, but even as children they knew the reason they couldn't stop their journey. They were marked by the Red Hand, their parents upsetting the organization in some way, and innocent or not they were damned by association. They were luckier than most, even life on the run was enjoyable because they had each other to make things tolerable.. but as things go that luck ran out on the morning of his 12th birthday.
They'd slept in a old warehouse in some backwater port town, tired and dehydrated from a long trek across the wastes they didn't even think about being seen as they slunk into the shipyard the night before. He'd been so tired, so hungry, that he slept right through the initial attack.. his brother carrying him through the ship yard as if they could escape their pursuers. Most humans say, in moments of such overwhelming odds, an angel will appear to save you.. He and his brother got a demon. Zhenka Amivi, or 'Captain Vi' saved their lives that day by yanking them into the cargo bay of her ship; hiding them as the Red Hand's thugs searched outside.. fending them off with an impressive disregard for who they served as the Nikovik siblings were herded into the ship's bowels by the female's crew. Why she protected them, he still isn't sure, but she earned a sort of hero worship from Caed that day and it is still very evident in how he treats the female now. She kept them on the ship, had them fed and cared for, and when they had settled a bit she offered them a home in exchange for work.. After a few days of ( Sasha's ) stubborn silence they finally agreed, both remained with the female and her crew for a number of years until just recently. His brother, content Caed was safe with Vi, decided to return to Westenra.. saying something about 'unfinished business' with the Red Hand. As angry as he was at being left behind Caed understood that it was an attempt to protect him.. but he and the other smugglers can still offer support in their own way, Caed visiting his brother when they drop off supplies to the Sandmen every few months. The rest of his time is spent on the ship named ' Turtle' or spying off-world for his 'boss' Lark while waiting for Vi to return from her work. He is very good at covert missions, and since the information he picks up can help his brother as well.. He takes the work seriously.

- Caed is 5'4 ft tall and very lean with a runner's build, muscled but slender. He generally keeps his hair tied back in a hip-length thick braid, the stands a rich red/gold color. Physically he didn't get much from his Suldari genetics, just the eerie green shade of his eyes and a bit better reflexes than a normal human.. But mentally he would do any full blood proud with his natural gift for battle and tenacity. Not that they would ever be proud of a mix-blood like him, but still. His father, seeming to agree with this, named him in in their tongue.. Caed, to kill, as if aware even then the potential his child harbored.
