Leslie Kelly "Jack Kelly." Leslie mumbled while watching the musical. That was his last name. And this guy wants to be a cowboy? Did he get made fun of? Did people pick on him for his name or his dream?

Keller Green
"Oh hey, I love this part!" Keller turned the volume up a little bit as the first song started, clearly excited about this movie. During the energetic chorus, he threw his arms up and left one around the couch, resting behind Leslie and looking dangerously close to wrapping around his shoulders.

Leslie Kelly Leslie tried to pay attention, he really did, but it was hard for him. He was never the type to appreciate classical music or paintings. Writing was always connected to the fine arts, but he couldn't enjoy the other arts for the life of him. This was boring. He understood that Keller liked it and he wanted to, but he wasn't into it. Sure the music was catchy and the dancing was there, but it wasn't something he'd pick while channel surfing. There was only one thing that kept him from falling asleep throughout the movie, and that was Keller. More importantly, it was that arm that was so close to him. Was it there for the sake of helping the athlete relax or... or...? No, he couldn't think that. There was no way a lady killer like Keller would ever do anything with him other than, well, this.

Keller Green
Fast-forwarding past a couple commercials, Keller's arm remained in place, his eyes intent as they stared at the screen. He'd always liked this movie, for more reasons than one. "Hey, this kid reminds me of you!" he said, pointing at Spot Conlon. He grinned, then leaned back. "He's kinda plucky, a lot like you, Les. It's adorable." He reached out, pinching the boy's cheek teasingly.

Leslie Kelly "Plucky, what's that supposed to mean?" huffed Leslie as he looked at his apparent doppelganger. This guy reminded Keller of him? He was loud and snarky! A gangster! Even then how was it adorable?

"Well, plucky means courageous in the face of difficulties," he explained, tapping his chin before wrapping his arm around Leslie's shoulders and squeezing twice. "And I don't know anyone as plucky as you." He grinned, feeling as if he'd said the sweetest thing he ever could.

Leslie Kelly "Courageous, huh?" Leslie muttered while trying hard not to blush or do any other embarrassing things from the arm wrap. He had to keep telling himself that it was just a friend hug and nothing more. His dreams would say otherwise tonight, though. "I don't see how exactly I'm courageous." Besides being this close to his crush, but whatever.

"You always go for the story, even if it might cause you harm," he said, squeezing again before ruffling Leslie's hair and dropping his hand back in his lap. "Plus you're cute as a button, so there's that." He laughed, then leaned back and folded his arms behind his head.

Leslie Kelly ""Cute as a button" isn't exactly the best way to describe a high school senior man." grunted Leslie as he glared at the TV. So Keller thought he was courageous? No one ever commented on the things he did for the newspaper. Some thought he was way too focused, but most laughed off the very thought of a school paper. It was nice to know that someone understood the things he went through. "If we're talking about courageous, though, I think the topic should be you." Leslie said out of the blue. He tensed a little when he realized that he said out loud what he had been thinking, but decided to roll with it. "I mean, you're one of the top football players, if not the best, and that's against non-humans. You were even hanging out with some demon when I saw you today!" he said while remembered the redheaded man with the scowl etched on his face.

Keller Green
Keller's left shoulder rose and fell in a devil-may-care sort of way. "I don't care if it's the best way. I still think you're super cute. Even if you don't think that it's the right way to describe a big strong man such as yourself." He chuckled, shaking his head at his joke, then blinked at the outburst. Him? Courageous? "I wouldn't call myself courageous. Lucky, more like. I mean, the football thing is entirely luck, and I just have a bad habit of making myself become friends with everyone, whether they like me or not." He laughed, seeming in that moment to be as far from serious as he could. "Besides, if I was courageous, I'd be in a great, public relationship instead of being afraid to show my feelings to the world in any other form than my art." He stared forward, his brow furrowing in concentration as his thoughts collected. It was a strange sight, seeing such a laidback, easygoing teen like Keller to be so serious. Just as fast as he was stoic, the artist laughed happily and ran a hand through his dark locks. "Anyway, let's change the channel. Why don't we watch something you like?" he suggested, holding out the remote.

Leslie Kelly Leslie watched the TV channels flicker by, though his mind was still stuck on that conversation. Keller had insecurities? Was that even possible? That man usually had a walls of confidence surrounding him whenever he strode around the school, it was almost impossible to picture him as anything but. "Who could you possibly have feelings for that you can't show off?" asked Leslie after some time, as if asking himself the question. His eyebrows were furrowed in deep thought and his lips pursed. "You could have any girl you wanted, there shouldn't be any problem." He stopped suddenly and glanced at Keller. He did have one theory about someone Keller was involved with. Someone that, if this were to be true, could possibly destroy Keller's reputation. Would his suspicions be confirmed?

Keller was quiet for a moment, unsure of how to continue, then decided to go the complete opposite direction in an attempt to throw the journalist off. He wasn't dumb. He knew that if Leslie knew, the whole school would soon know as well. "It's not a girl," he said quietly, looking away as if he was trying to hide his emotions or was ashamed. "I don't think he even sees me as anything but a friend, or has even entertained the idea of us being together." He kept his face turned away, know that he'd tell Leslie the truth if he looked at him.

Mayah Playah 1 - Target hit // 2 - missed Leslie Kelly Leslie almost choked on air right then and there. Keller liked a guy?? The concept wasn't unheard of, there were rumors that the football player had done some things with guys - there was even the weird redhead that he was swooning over earlier! - but that was just it, rumors. Who could it be? Who could it be that made Keller too nervous to make public? That could shrug off his affections so easily? "Who is it?" he finally voiced, unable to contain himself. "Is it that demon you were with earlier?"

"What, Armageddon?" He looked back to Leslie. "No way! I don't like my men bulgey! You see that guy? He could top me in seconds!" He threw his arms up, leaning back against the couch and staring at the ceiling. "Never mind, just forget it. It's dumb." He was no good at lying, especially to Les. Keller knew he was going to wind cracking.
