Wow O.O sweeeet, Mr.Fig!

I learned to color WAY back when I was about two, my mom got me dozens of coloring books....

I'm kidding ^^.
Mostly with my digital art and whatnot, I just try to check out a lot of pictures I've seen other people do...read a few books on fantasy art and comic books, etc.
My main art is watercolor....so really, finding the best way to color in the lines is what I try to do. XD Try being the operative word.

But honestly...your shading and line-art is awesome. I'm jealous ^-^.

Hey Muse...not bad for a first attempt at digital art.
My first /serious/ try was on MS Paint..made me scream more than a few times.
Within your program's color palette, how much of a color change can you do? In the programs I have, if you just click on the color square, you can go further with it and choose your own colors.
Also, like on Paint, you can lighten or darken colors..which comes in handy for shading.

Your line-art is pretty neat..but if you had a few more color variations, for say highlights and shadows, you could give the pic a lot more depth.

Kudos for working with colored pencils though....I usually stick with watercolors in the RW...gonna have to try the pencils soon though XD <33.

Hmmm...Does anyone go to SA? We should have a thread like photoshop prhiday or a paint thread like comedy goldmine-- give a theme and make something on it. Meh, I dunno; ain't my subforum.

That would be complete crap if crap was another world for THE MOST AMAZING THING I HAVE EVER SEEN.
He has that look like he is thinking, "Yeah, I am riding a unicorn across a rainbow in outer-space with a double-neck guitar. You got a point?"
Reminds me of the guitarist from TV on the Radio, if he was rocking out. With more LSD than usual.

And whatever you do...don't look back at my crap work.
I mean it...some of that stuff is not only bad, it is scary bad.

I finally learned how to use layers.../and/ transparents. These not only make things easier, it gives me the colors I /really/ want.

This one was a quick avatar sketch I made earlier this summer:
