☆ HISTORY 》 ⇨ Adriana's mother died in the process of her only child's birth. Adriana's father attempted to raise his daughter on his own, but was constantly reminded of his wife in the little girl's eyes. He delved into liquor and his life became a haze until he drank himself to death.
Adriana was only 5 when she lost her father. An uncle took her in, but he was never home and she had to raise herself. Luckily the uncle had his own library filled with various types of books. Adriana spent almost all of her time in the library. She taught herself how to read and learned many things about the world.
When she was 12, she had read every book in the large library except for one. Once she took it from the shelf, she gasped. It was her mother's diary. Why would her uncle have her mother's diary? She never knew her mother, bu thought it strange that her uncle would have the diary. The young girl opened the pages gently, holding her breath. What she read in the diary went against everything she had ever learned from the thousands of books she had read. It took her a month to read the entire diary, the last five pages missing. She reread the diary five more times, memorizing every line. If what she read was true, then her mother did not die from giving birth to her and her father never truly knew her. It also meant that on her 13th birthday something horrible was going to happen to her.
On her 13th birthday, her powers awakened. She was left alone for it, wondering why her uncle never said anything. Maybe he had not read the diary. The force and pain that she went through as the shadows tore apart her body was too much. Her mother had her grandmother to help her, but Adriana was all alone. It was finally too much and she tried to take her own life. She slit her left wrist, but the shadows continued to tear her apart. Just as she was passing out from pain and blood loss, her uncle appeared.
When she woke up, it was her 14th birthday and had been in a coma for a year. She had survived her suicide attempt and she had survived the shadow creatures. Her uncle had quit his job to be by her side. He apologized to her every day, explaining that since her father had spent all of her inheritance on alcohol so it was up to him to work so that he could pay for her to go to the school. A special school that she needed to go to if she wanted to live. Because shadow users had a lower chance of living without help and he was not able to give her the help she needed. Adriana had cried and thanked him.
Once she had her strength back, she went to Amaterasu Academy. During her Freshman year, she learned that the type of shadow abilities she had was full shadow manipulation. If used incorrectly, she could die. She was enrolled into Power Control only.
Sophomore year - she had just enough control to be able to enroll into another class of her choice. She chose Weapon Wielding: Blades and had to stay in Power Control. In the Weapon Wielding: Blades she took an interest to throwing knives.
Junior Year - She was able to choose two more classes with Summoning Magic being strongly suggested. So she took Power Control, Weapon Wielding: Blades, Summoning Magic, and Battle Strategy. She still struggled with power control, but mastered throwing knives. Summoning was extremely difficult for her, so she decided to get a tattoo to help her focus on what to summon. And she found that battle strategy was difficult for her because she did not like being around too many people at once in the squads.
Senior Year - She is now in her Senior year, allowed to add two more classes. She is enrolled in Power Control, Weapon Wielding: Blades, Summoning Magic, Battle Strategy, Sealing & Buffing Magic, and Illusion & Charming Magic.
