Rhett took a heavy hit from the head and fell to the ground. It took him a moment to gather his bearings and he flung a spare knife taken from his belt at the serpent as he tried to get back to his feet. HP:14

The snake was cut by the passing blade but didn't seem phased as it lunged in to strike with its fangs. HP:15

Rhett cried out as the fangs dug deeply into his arm as he brought it up to semi-block, and stabbed out quickly with the dagger trying to get it in the head to make it let go. HP: 8

Rhett somehow managed to avoid the tail as he semi-expected that retaliation, and once more struck for the snake's head, trying to jab the dagger into its maw. HP: 7
