Biography: In 1914, the Great War raged, tearing Europe asunder, and Kaiser Wilhelm II needed soldiers. An old and prestigious unit, known as the Grey Guard, was constantly bolstering its numbers by drawing upon the portion of Germany's population that was burdened with mental illness. These souls, bearing a wide array of disorders - labeled collectively as madness - were vigorously brainwashed in order to convert them into fanatical soldiers, zealous in their loyalty to the Kaiser. Such was the origin of the soldier in question, and after his initiation he was sent to the frontlines to defend the integrity of the Empire of Prussia and there it was in that muddy trench that he died, writhing and clawing at his chest and throat as Chlorine Gas ate away at them, his faulty mask failing to protect him.
It never occurred to him to wonder how or why he had risen from that event. He remembered the moment of his death very distinctly, but his awakening afterwards stirred no feelings of concern in his mind, even during his lucid moments. He simply wandered, looking for enemies and finding none, long after the war had ended and the trenches had been plowed over and No-Man's Land returned to the Earth.
Powers: Unless exhaling Chlorine Gas and generally being undead counts as a power, he has none.
