42. Shadow-in a reverse from the norm, Jarel is hit with manuevers from his past foes, including the cartwright crush and sweet chin music. his retaliation includes shots sending Shadow face first into the cell, a chokeslam, and eventually a tombstone
When the last clip is done, Jarel himself is standing in the ring, no coat or hat and a mic in hand as the crowd cheers. At last, he raises the mic to speak.
"Due to the nature of tonight's show, I debated whether or not to come out and speak on what is to come. Tonight's show is to honor the troops and as you can tell, I am once more headed into the match known as hell in a cell. I debated on whether to speak on this tonight because it is hell in a cell, it is a wrestler's hell. It is a far different hell from what each of you face. See, you men and women spend nights in trenches in all forms of weather. You face gunfire, landmines, attacks from all sides. Your hell is one that allows our hell to take place for the entertainment of millions."
Jarel pauses briefly.
"However, you all are fans. You want to know what's going on the same as any other fan. As fans, you enjoy seeing us go into the cell, so I'm not going to pretend that the match won't happen. At Summerslam, I will venture into the cell for a record 43rd time."
cheers break out, interrupting him for the moment.
"Not only am I stepping into the cell, but I'm going in against my very own student, my pupil, my disciple, the man I plagued the wrestling world with years ago. You see, seventeen years ago, I first set foot in a wrestling ring. 17 years ago, against one of my longest standing rivals, the greatest in ring performer of all time, the Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels, the streak began. Over the years, I've faced many of the greats, from HBK to Brock Lesnar to the Rock and Austin, Triple H, even the Brothers of Destruction. I've faced the likes of the reigning Legacy champion, Cartwright, WWFG Hall of Famer Jed, former WWFG wrestler Gravedigger, and most recently, the iconic and legendary Shadow."
more cheers simply for the last name mentioned break out.
"I'm sure there are plenty of Shadow's fans around, and that brings me into my next point. You see, I plagued the wrestling world with Snypa Rifle, but there is one other man he refers to as Sensei, and that man is Shadow. Shadow and I don't like each other. That much was made obvious by the manner in which he laid down the challenge for the streak. Furthermore, what took place in that cell was pure, unadulterated, brutality. And there is no shame for me to admit that there were moments within that match where even I thought that perhaps the streak had come to an end. But let us examine the motives of that man. When one has a career as long as mine, you tend to make enemies. When one also has confidence in themselves, they are accused of having an ego. And perhaps that is true."
Jarel looks out around the crowd.
"For 17 years, i have performed in front of sold out crowds. I have wrestled in the main event of Wrestlemania. I have stolen the show with perhaps my greatest rival, Nuke Fusion. I've gone to war with the likes of Draze and Jed. I returned here this year at the behest of then champion, Cyrus Leone, a man who in his rookie year dethroned me as world heavyweight champion right here in WWFG. I came back to defeat him, and I did. I faced a rookie who thought that my time was up and despite a bruised larynx from being hung from my own symbol, at Wrestlemania, I put Omen down and he hasn't been seen since. So perhaps I do have an ego, and Shadow's goal, in his words, was to humble me. And while he did come closer than any other, pullig from the shadows of my own past to hit me with ever single manuever that brought me close to defeat in the past, he.....still....failed!"
Jarel lowers the mic as the crowd cheers again.
"So now I will face the student. And once again on the minds of everyone is the question of whether the career of the Dragon is coming to an end. You see, many feel that when the streak ends, so to does my career. So for those that believe that, they are waiting anxiously to see if the student can do what the master could not do.For those hoping that the Snypa Rifle will fire the shot the fells the Dragon, I'm afraid I have some bad news. Call it ego if you will but the time of the Dragon has not come to an end. This Sunday, at Summerslam, I will step into hell in a cell for the 43rd time with my own student, and I guarantee there will be blood, there will be brutality, and in the end, I will stand tall over the battered, bloodied body of my own student, just as I have done to my own twin brother, in victory. After all, if the man I was born into the world with after sharing the womb, the man who undoubtedly knows me better than every other person alive, the man who actually knows every trick every maneuver I have, couldn't do it, then what makes you think that Snypa Rifle can? Summerslam marks another notch on the list for the Dragon, and dark days ahead for the rest of WWFG and all who seek to destroy what I helped build."

There's no time like the present for a man to speak his piece, so the moment is chosen.
Woke up this morning... You got yourself a gun!
The man of the hour, dressed in the occasion in fatigues from paint to toe appears from a Humvee's driver seat. Said vehicle is sitting ringside and the servicemen and women show their love for the Extreme Sage as he walks up the stairs into the ring.
"These people risk life and limb and sometimes make the ultimate sacrifice just so we can do what we love. I will never be able to commit such an act of love, but I want to give back to you to show my appreciation. At Summerslam, during the Hottest Fight of the Summer when I step inside the devil's playground for the first time in my eight year career. But before we get there, let's talk about why we're on this road. Personally, I don't think it's time for the Dragon to stand down and I wish you a long, successful career, Sensei... but it's really as simple as you think: I like picking fights sometimes and I was thinking that crumbling that mountain of 42 bodies you've perched yourself upon with you as the 43rd body would make for a hell of an adventure, because why not? Let's be honest, I've grown too old to care about glory and benefits. Sure it'd be awkward as hell at family functions because you'd have to look at me knowing that I became the One, but what family barbecue isn't?"
Snypa chuckles. "Okay, I'm trying to be serious but it's hard when you're in the ring with an opponent you have nothing but the utmost respect for and then you have to remember that he's also your mentor. Of course, given who he is, that's all gotta be put aside come the biggest Summertime Block Party. But it's as I said: I bear you no animosity whatsoever and I know exactly what I'm getting into; that knowledge is what'll win me the night because you've never entered the Cell with a man who knew about the kind of brutality and bloodshed he was agreeing to when he challenged you. Watching each of those matches completely made me realize that not even your twin at the time fully recognized the entity you become once that gate is shut. I do... and to keep it real, I can't wait."

Jarel once again raises his mic.
"You know, apprentice of mine, I find your logic interesting. But what I find most interesting is a thought that has crossed my mind repeatedly since this challenge was issued. I find myself questioning this very simple fact. Just what is it you can do that hasn't been done? Your other sensei, as you call him, took me through the ringer, hitting me with every move that nearly ended the streak before. He reached into the shadows and used what he found against me, and he still failed. And as I stand here, I do not have a revisionist memory. I remember one streak of mine that you did indeed break."
The crowd grows quiet.
"A long time ago, in a federation many forgot, we faced off in the match I innovated, Pandora's Box. And you still hold the distinction as the only man to beat me in it. I give credit where credit is due but know this, and know it well. I never forget a loss, I never forget a slight. And while you beat me on that night in that match, the cell is distinctly mine. Because I remember it, I will return the favor. I sit atop a mountain of 42 bodies, and I'll be damned if I become the 43rd. The cell waits impatiently. The mountain must claim a 43rd carcass. That carcass will belong to you."
Jarel turns to head out of the ring but stops at the ropes, staring up at the titantron.
"But you know, there is one real question to be solved. Because I'm curious."
The Dragon turns back to his apprentice.
"The real question on my mind is this. I faced and defeated your other sensei. He is, in fact, the 42nd body in that mountain. While many would say this match will answer the question of who is better between you and I, I seek something different. You see, I know who is better between you and I. I want to know who is better between you and him. Because judging by what I've seen, the answer is him."
The crowd lets out a collective "Ooooo"
"And make no mistake, apprentice, that is definitely a result of past experiences with you both. We shall see if indeed I'm right, or you're truly better than he is this Sunday."
Jarel smirks as his music hits the PA and he steps out through the ropes. The Dragon heads backstage slowly but confidently, his last shot fired before entering the cell on Sunday
