 Goldberg's theme played out through the PA System, as he would then walk through the curtain, with the pyro.  Afterwards, Goldberg would then begin to walk down the ramp, as the announcer would welcome him to the ring for the audience. Half way at the ramp, Goldberg would start throwing practice-hits at the air, as more pyro would rise up in the background on the stage. Afterwards, he would then make it to the ring, and run up the stairs, quickly coming into the ring through the second rope, and coming into the ring completely. Pacing around for a few seconds, he would then request a microphone. Eventually, getting one, he would put it towards his lips and begin to speak. "STING, I HAVE A FEW WORDS TO SAY TO YOU AND I KNOW YOU'RE BACKSTAGE, SO COME ON OUT HERE, BIG MAN!"

WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONA loud sound echos in the arena as the lights dim and a crow makes its cawing sound, and the crowd immediately erupts in cheers as the know who is about to make his entrance to the ring. After about 10 seconds of the weird and bizarre opening to his theme, The CWF World Heavyweight Champion, Sting walks out from backstage to a big pop from the audience, ready to show off his title he has held onto for years while CWF was idle, and it is back and Sting is ready to put it all on the line in a match even if the title isn't on the line in this one. He makes it to the top of the ramp and stops, looking at the atmosphere of the arena. They were about to witness one of the most popular stars in wrestling perform here today. Wearing his signature white and black face paint with his black trench coat and his wrestling gear under it, with the World Heavyweight Championship over his shoulder, he makes his way down the ramp and is introduced.  The Icon and Champion makes his way down the ramp holding the World Title over his shoulder, and he shouts to the crowd to get the long awaiting fans cheering louder. He walks down the end of the ramp making it to the ring, where he turns left and walks up the steps, entering the ring through the second rope. Sting walks across the ring looking at all of his opponents but then walks to the TB and raises his title, shouting again. Sting gets down, still wearing his coat, and puts the World Heavyweight Championship on his shoulder, ready to hear what Goldberg wanted to say to him.

Now that Bill Goldberg got the attention of "The Icon", Sting, he would then raise the microphone back up to his own lips, beginning to talk again once more. "SO, STING I see you're feeling all high-and mighty coming into the ring with me, when you and I BOTH know I could snap you like a slim-jim in just the matter of seconds! But I have one objective.
Goldberg would point at the World Heavyweight Championship that was on Sting's shoulder. "I want some Gold, and you have just what I've been wanting. What I've been LOOKING FOR! You've had the championship for way too long, and I think it's time I've gotten my go at it! What'ddya say, Stinger?" Goldberg would wait for a reply.

Sting nodded at Goldberg, and before Goldberg had spoke, he got a mic, so he was all ready to reply. After Goldberg was finished, Sting replied.
"The way I see it, is that you've come to CWF on a high horse Goldberg." (just like some f*****t who complained about everything in TNWR, what a stupid little b***h.) "Yeah, you've dominated in the few matches you've had, but your highlight has been you defeating Triple H last week. That sent me the message, but let me tell you one thing. Triple H has nothing on the Stinger. I've beaten him. I pinned him to retain this title.... what I am saying is, You know me alot more than anyone else, and you and me both know you can't snap me like nothing. I know you as well as you know me, and over the years, my respect for you gets higher.... and that's why I accept your challenge and I'll defend this world title against you at Battleground. Because right now, you are at the top of the line. But if I beat you, you will go straight to the BOTTOM."

The crowd would have a high reaction off of the last sentence Sting would say. Goldberg listened patiently with a mean mug on his face, as he felt insulted at what Sting said early on. Standing a few distances away from Sting, Goldberg would put his hands on his hips. He would then raise the microphone towards his lips..about to speak, he would put the microphone down to his side and turn his body to the side thinking about what Sting said. Then, in a sudden moment, Goldberg dropped down the microphone down, and quickly turned around going for an unexpected Spear to Sting!

Sting tried to move out of the way quickly, showing Goldberg that doing something like that to the champ won't be so easy, moving far enough to give Goldberg a stare down once Goldberg stopped himself

Seeing Sting move out of the way, Goldberg stopped himself in his tracks, as the crowd would let out "ooo's" with some of their faces in shock. Goldberg would then be face to face with the CWF World Heavyweight Champion.

Sting took a couple deep breaths after barely avoiding that spear. He looks at Goldberg before putting the title back on his shoulder, and getting out of the ring, backing up the ramp, nodding at Goldberg showing that he truely is the number 1 contender.

Jamie would come out to the stage in all smiles and she looked down to the ring and saw her idol/longtime crush known as Bill Goldberg. She would wave at him before giggling nervously and a little ditzy, something that Jamie was rarely known for doing. Butterflies were everywhere, well all in Jamie's stomach.

Goldberg saw Sting back away, as he would then turn his back at Sting, looking back at him with his head turned. Goldberg then would exit the ring through the second rope, and back up the ramp facing Sting making title belt motions towards his own waist, signifying that Goldberg was coming for the title.
