                  Dungeon

The first party to enter this dungeon must complete the raid to find the boss room. Raids include mapping out the area, finding/avoiding traps, and fighting monsters. This is the only exception to the rules about only 15 monster kills per week. In the dungeon, as long as you are participating on the raid, you can kill any amount of monsters. For this certain dungeon, to complete the raid, 4,000 words must be divided between you and your party members before you meet the boss.

This World Can Satisfy My Desires...

Player: ???
Creep

Do I Really Want To Leave...

Level 4 and without much else to do in the massive world of FAO. Apparently there was something up with the servers and the missions were bugged out or something. How ridiculous was it to imprison people inside of your game and not even make sure it's working. Life was too cruel some times. Then the boy heard a couple people next to him talking about doing something called a "raid". They were making it out to be something very complex and not to be taken lightly. Healers in the back and tanks in the front. Then there was the boss at the end of the raid which would be harder than the dungeon before it. A thought came to Gabriel's mind. What if he could get to the boss alone? What if by pure skill the boy could reach the end and gain the XP. "We'll never know unless we try..." He mumbled to himself as the group that had given the info by accident left. "You think you can actually clear out a dungeon alone?" The Dark Passenger was behind him. Gabriel was never startled by it. "Not like you have a lot to lose. You're only level four. If you die what would you lose? A wooden sword? A funny looking outfit?" He mocked. Gabriel knew what the Dark Passenger was trying to do. Get him to actually solo a dungeon boss included. "Maybe you should think about this..." But Gabriel wasn't listening anymore. He was headed towards the dungeon.

On his way there, Gabriel thought about the outside world. Kokoro to be exact. His relationship with her started out like any honestly. He was a very quiet boy in school, but his grades and looks made some girls fawn over him. After some time, however his lack of interest in any of them started to irritate some and the rumors of his sexuality began to spread. Gabriel did not care about such unimportant things, but the moment the harassment began to get in the way of his night affairs he had to do something. His first thought of action was to kill them, but he quickly dismissed it. Even if he disposed of them all perfectly there was still something tying them to him. It wouldn't take on for the police to begin questioning him about his whereabouts during the disappearances and if it was true how he was being harassed for supposed homosexuality. Then one day, Kokoro walked up to him to talk. Instead of ignoring her he replied. "Do you want to go out?" He asked with his normal indifference. She lit up like the fourth of July nodding like an idiot. The harassment stopped and the boys stopped following him to see what it was he did. As for Kokoro she fell in love with him. For what reasons? He didn't know. He never showed her affection yet she poured it all over him. Maybe it's because she was damaged like him. Her problems with her father made her dependent on a male figure. Gabriel became just that. Her ex also abused her excessively. Gabriel found out all of this and still could not feel a single ounce of sorrow for the poor girl. He needed her to serve a purpose nothing else.
Then things began to change when he went to her house for dinner one night. She wanted him to meet her parents and he saw no problem in doing so. His urge that night could be kept at bay. Everything was going fine since her father wasn't there. It was only her mother and little sister. Gabriel impressed her mother very much and played with her little sister immediately winning her over with a horsey ride. Then their father came home drunk. Gabriel stood up with a serious expression. For a moment he lost himself playing with the little girl and felt a moment of genuine happiness though he would never recall it. "WHO DA FUQ IS THIS?" He shouted infuriated at the sight of another man in his house during his absence. Kokoro quickly rushed towards the large, fat man to plead. "Daddy it's Gabe! I told you he was coming remember?!" The back slap was so quick, Gabriel was surprised someone that drunk could be so fast. Watching his girlfriend fall to the floor after getting slapped made Gabriel feel something...Different. He quickly walked up to the father and chopped him in the throat. The man immediately lost his breathe and grabbed his throat. It was then that Gabriel swept his feet and let his own weight carry him to the ground. He was about to hurt the man even more, but Kokoro pleaded for him to stop with a hand covering her slapped face. The boy would never understand humans. A danger to their existence in their own home and they did nothing about it. She later told him that they needed him because without his paycheck they'd have nowhere else to go. Gabriel sighed wondering what the hell he was doing, but said "I'll take care of you. Don't worry." The boy had an online scheme running that generated some pretty hefty income. He used it to buy chemicals and other things he needed for his...hobby. Now he uses it to pay for Kokoro's family since he called the police on her father. "What are they going to do without the money now..." Gabriel thought while walking. The thought actually frightened him and that in itself was frightening. He was caring for someone other than himself.

The dungeon entrance was pretty glamorous although Gabriel knew nothing about RPG's so he didn't really have any idea on how dungeons were supposed to look like so it went unnoticed by him. Once inside the entrance would close behind him. Hopefully he'd be able to exit out again, because he had not planned on killing the boss. He simply wanted to get a feel on what the challenge would be like actually getting to said boss. "Let's do this I guess..." Gabriel mumbled stepping forwards and immediately falling into a trap.

An odd looking gas sprayed all over him when he landed on something mushy. Pulling his right hand up the boy could see something come along with it. Some sort of goo. Then he heard a noise. He couldn't see a thing in the darkness. Suddenly lights turned on revealing what the goo was. The boy was sitting on top of the dead bodies of several Nargs excluding one that was alive in front of him. The two were in what appeared to be a hole. No way of leaving except for up. That didn't worry Gabriel for the moment. Something was off about the Narg. Its body wasn't like Narg's stood when preparing for an attack. "Is there something on my face?" The Narg asked actually patting it's face to check for something. Gabriel's eyes widened before he crawled back in a panic. He was panicking...Why? The boy was a serial killer. Not even the fact of being stuck in a game forever worried him. "Wha...Wha?" Speaking was difficult as well. "Do not fuss old chap! It's only the gas you have inhaled! It is making you see and hear things that aren't actually there." The information didn't help. Something that shouldn't exist was telling him that certain things weren't real. "Come, come!" He waved heading towards the wall and seemingly walking through it. Gabriel didn't understand what was going on, but he could hear the Narg singing a tune from the other side. The boy walked towards where the Narg seemingly vanished and touched the wall. His hand going through it as if nothing was there. Without much confidence the boy put his whole body through and walked forward.

He was now in a long hallway. Metallic doors with openings to see through were on each side. These opening had metal bars as if keeping something out. Gabriel stood still for a second observing his surroundings. So far there wasn't anything inside the doors or at least making itself heard. The talking Narg was nowhere to be found. Gabriel couldn't even hear the humming. "The only way is forward I guess..." He mumbled to himself as he began walking forward.
The red lighting in the hall was extremely eerie. All he could hear was his own breathing. Then he saw someone in the end of the hall where it split left and right. It looked like..."Kokoro?!?!" He shouted breaking the silence. Whoever the girl was she didn't pay attention to Gabriel and went left disappearing from his view. He immediately began sprinting towards her. "Why is she here?! WHY IS SHE HERE?!!" He shouted infuriated at thought of Kokoro stuck in FAO. Once he finally reached the end he follow the direction she went in which led to an odd door. "Open it." The Dark Passenger said. Opening the door what he saw on the other side made him lose consciousness.

The boy awoke in the dungeon's entrance again. Surrounded by three Nargs. "I don't know what just happened." He grumbled getting back up on his feet. "But all the rage I feel at the moment is going into you pathetic creatures." Gabriel killed the three Nargs and left the Dungeon behind. It was clear that he wasn't ready to take it on on his own. Gabriel liked watching movies in his free time. He wasn't insane, killing all the time. Or was he? Either way in these movies he'd seen there was some times a climatic finale ending where the protagonist faced impossible odds on his own. Usually dying in the end. "Hopefully that's not the case here." The Dark Passenger stated manifesting next to Gabriel. The boy for once looked over at what wasn't really there with a smirk. "Anyone ever tell you that reading minds is rude?" The manifestation chuckled before disappearing again. Gabriel thought long and hard about what he was about the undertake. There was a large gap in the difference of power between the one that tried before and the one that stood in it's entrance now. Even thought he gained a certain respect for the game after fighting the Tyrant. The feeling of utter helplessness in a situation where he had no control whatsoever. The boy hated that feeling and purposely setting himself up for it was not going to go well for him.

There were other people at the plaza waiting to go on the raid. Gabriel assumed they were ready to take on the raid as well and weren't to far behind. His rash leave from everybody made him not check things clearly upon leaving. "Guess I'll wait." He mumbled sitting down on the ground with his back against the dungeon entrance. His patience thinning, his urges increases. How long would he wait to kill the boss. Get to Floor Two. Kill. Kill. Kill. "What..." Those thoughts weren't his. He had a purpose not just mindlessly killing. That was for the likes of that green haired girl. "I'm...Normal." He mumbled feeling weak all of a sudden calling himself normal to reassure himself. "You know what they say about the insane?" The Dark Passenger asked with a slight chuckle.

Whoever is ahead of me is fast. I can't even keep up... it's like their twice as fast as me. The weird thing is also... he has three question marks for a user and I can access his personal data. He thought to himself. Normally, he was calm and collected, but if their wasn't a party anymore, if someone else was going to attempt the dungeon the same time he was, he might as well join forces with them. Hopefully by then, Vox would be here. The scenery was relatively bland compared to the other parts of the game, but he could see the structure of the dungeon as he got closer and closer. He knew this place would be fill of many memories, sometimes good and sometimes bad. This would be a flashback heaven and hell for many players. Especially those who never could get off of level one in the original game.

Finally making a reasonable gain on the mysterious speedy guy. Oracle sent a party invite to the guy to distract him for a second. "Yo dude. I know you don't know me, but I saw you in the plaza. A friend and I are about to raid the dungeon together. Why join forces and cut the worth by a third? If it helps. My friend is a healer." Oracle said quickly as he came to a halt near the mouth of the dungeon. Taking a quick second, he equipped his basic chest plate. He was ready to go. If this dude was in, he could be in. It didn't matter to him. He didn’t really trust him at all, but the dungeon was hard for a solo player. Any good player knew that, so hopefully this idea wouldn’t stab Oracle and Vox in the back. And plus, Vox wouldn’t like it if he’d screwed up.

Level ten. Fifty more levels to go and she caught up to where she was before the reset. Oracle had sent her a frantic message to get to the dungeon. Vox had been a bit confused at the text. She had left the party to join one with Chris for a moment to grind out some levels. Had Divinity decided to back down from the raid? Whatever the case Elise was soon to find out. She walked slowly in to the dungeon entrance and took in the sights around her. It was some sort of underground facility, fashioned after a hand crafted dungeon. It reminded her faintly of the Mines of Moria. From what she remembered the raid boss was some giant abomination. It had a decently high amount of health and high enough strength to insta-gib anyone it could hit at this level. Most people in FAO chose to spec themselves for speed and fancy maneuvers. They often left their health fairly low, leaving that particular specialization for the tanks and Kujin. Her race sucked at times because a lot of their abilities pulled from the health of the player. Doubling as a healer that meant Vox would be dumping a lot of her own health in to others so that they could carry her. Her heels would clack loudly against the stone floor, signaling to whoever had assembled that she had arrived. Elise had a way of sauntering as she walked, making it in to some sort of art form. Her eyes came upon the lone player. White hair, red eyes, unassuming self. This guy did not stand out much. "Hey there, I'm Vox. Oracle sent me a message to get here. I'm guessing this is the new raid party." Tapping the air for her menu the woman dissolved her association with the old party, and sent the player in front of her a new one. She walked to him and started talking again. "I am primarily a support. I can heal, shield, and zone. What can you do?" Raiding was different from general parties and hunts. The bosses were much beefier and tended to have a few skills that ******** over a large group of people. Having designated positions with a thorough plan worked out much better than winging it. With positions clear and filled they could plot out how they wanted to handle this and who would be doing what. Shouting out constant orders and getting information crossed led to dead players. Dead players made it harder on the rest of the group. Elise was not about that life of solo-dolo grinding, a good party with fast clear was what she wanted. Oracle showed up just then and asked pretty similar questions. Vox would smile smoothly at him and accept whatever party invite got thrown at her.

??? // Status is Enter The Ninja

Gabriel watched a new player approach the entrance. "And so they came, as God said they would." Gabriel mumbled getting up from the ground to formally greet the male player with a slight bow. Hearing out the details, Gabriel stayed silent while accepting the party invite. He was about to leave the new player when a female player caught up. The boy did not bow to her. His reasons not clear. The Dark Passenger manifested itself and hovered over to her. She would not see him nor Oracle. "What do you think? She doesn't sit well with me." Gabriel tried to ignore it. It knew nothing of her, because Gabriel himself knew nothing. They were one. He listened to her talk about her abilities and usefulness to the party then asked what he himself did. "I don't know. I'm kind of new to this game. Soooo..." It wasn't a lie. Gabriel barely played the game when it became locked. However, he made it seem that his level was lower than it actually was. "We should go." He said awkwardly. Turning around from the two he entered the dungeon.

Last time the boy fell in some sort of psychological trap that played on his fears and warped his reality. "Hm." Gabriel stopped walking once he reached the spot where he remembered falling. The talking Narg haunted his dreams. That voice. The taunting hum. Kokoro...

Avoiding the same spot, Gabriel kept on walking towards the Dungeon's end. The Dark Passenger manifested again. "What do you want now?" Gabriel asked opening up his character stats in front of him. Trying his best to ignore the obnoxious thing. His stats were very decent for the fight. His speed would help him immensely. "Don't you think it's weird how you didn't fall like last time?" It asked. Gabriel was still looking at his stats. "It's not weird at all." He said. "I walked around it. I knew it was there. That' the point. You try to complete the dungeon and when you fail you memorize the traps." He explained taking a sigh before closing the digital panel. "Oh, I agree, but don't you think it's strange how simple it was to get around?" Once again it disappeared leaving the boy to his thoughts. "What is he on about?" Gabriel asked himself before he fell again.

Same old routine. Falling down a hole. Dead Nargs. Except this time the talking Narg was no longer there, neither was the gas. This time there was also a door instead of a wall which he could phase through. It led directly to the hallways with the metallic doors on each side. Three for each. Sliding off the dead Nargs, Gabriel walked the same path he did last time. Hopefully it wouldn't' have the same dreadful end. "Somehow this is worse without the talking Narg." Gabriel mumbled slowly inching his way through the hall. Last time he didn't attempt to check the doors and wouldn't try ever. He just wanted to get out.

Reaching the hall's end where it splits into two paths, Gabriel decided to go the opposite direction from last time. It led to a stair case leading up. And the word up is being used lightly. It went UP. Gabriel began a mad dash up it and even with all his speed it took a solid 10 minutes only to lead back into the main dungeon. "What the ********?" He asked wondering what it all meant. The Dark Passenger, against his own knowledge, was watching Gabriel from a distance. Observing the boy fall into traps that weren't there. "The longer he goes without satisfying his urges the deeper into the pit of madness he will fall..."

Gabriel eventually found a group of Nargs blocking a large entrance which stopped him from advancing in the dungeon. There were a total of five. "Sword." Gabriel 'summoned' his sword. The Nargs would not attack him until he provoked them. They were programmed to guard and not attack. Gabriel hated that. It meant he'd have to attack and leave himself open.
Beginning his assault the boy instantly killed all 5 with one clean slash. His eyes widened at how powerful he'd become after his last level up. "What in the?" He asked looking at his hands just before the gates opened revealing the other side of the dungeon. It wasn't real. It was all virtual yet why did he feel REAL power. He had to keep going.

The new level of the dungeon included higher level creatures, specifically level 2 creatures. It was odd how the wilderness monsters lost their natural colors In the dungeon and were given more darker, greyer color pallets. The first enemies would be Elven Archers. The boy had no time to waste on them. Their arrows coming at him slowly. He'd even swatted one away when it got to close to him. Taking out the squad of Elven Archers the dungeon would begin to rumble as if an earthquake was going on. The floor began to move sideward causing Gabriel to lose his footing and begin to slide as the room's roof became the floor and vice-versa.

Once the room finally stopped Gabriel looked around to realize there had been certain pillars set up everywhere. Had they been hanging from the roof? He couldn't remember. Spawning on these pillars were Elf Soldiers and Grass Big Daddies. Gabriel just stood there awkwardly wondering what would happen. The monsters didn't move. They just stood on top of their pillars looking at each other since the pillars were perpendicular to one another. "Ummmmm. So you guys gonna do something oooor?" He shouted from below. Suddenly their necks all twitched in his direction. "Uuuuh." Then, all at once, the monsters would begin chanting in unison. "You can't save her." Over and over again. Their voices matching Kokoro's. They must've gotten in his head again, Gabriel assumed. He broke out into a sprint trying to reach the room's end, but the moment he got in the middle of the pillars the enemies jumped down to stop him all while chanting in Kokoro's voce. Gabriel summoned his sword again and engaged in combat with the lvl 2 monsters. The Big Daddies were tankier than the Nargs and didn't die in one hit. The Elf Warriors would throw flame magic at the boy from far away. Still chanting. "STOP!" He shouted before cutting down a Big Daddy. It's body turning into a pile of grass. Another one would try to grab him from behind, but the boy's reflexes wouldn't allow it. He spun around to combo a series of slashes and ultimately kill it. A triple flame blast would head towards Gabriel. Using his dexterity he dodged it by performing a bridge. The final remaining Big Daddy would try to grab him by the waist. Gabriel would throw his legs upwards towards the Big Daddies neck and use it as leverage to lift himself up. The Elf Warriors would send flames at the two. Gabriel jumped off leaving the Grass Big Daddy to burn for his SIIIIINS. It wouldn't stop chanting. Even as it squirmed around on fire for its life. That haunted Gabriel.

After killing the Elf Soldiers, Gabriel walked towards the room exit only to be denied access. A message popped up alerting the player that the entire party must be present to progress. "Hmph." Gabriel sighed before sitting down against the door like before at the entrance. Waiting for his party to appear. Hopefully they'd make it. Even if sharing his reward with them wasn't very thrilling. Being a solo player gave him a very selfish attitude as of late.

Splitting up actually was a good idea. Elise had managed to reach level ten fairly quickly and Oracle's level meter read over seven hundred, signifying he had attained seventh level. The other guy who really was the most enigmatic of them all probably would not be in the raid if he was too low leveled. She could not be sure though, because for some reason his username and level were not displaying. Vox was not even able to see his character information. For now it really did not matter to her. He could try his best to kill her but if all else failed she could just teleport the ******** out of there. For now it was time to focus on the dungeon. The floor one boss started at level four. In other words the run through was going to be a cake walk. The mystery man had her doubting a little bit, but even solo players could be useful. They had to be able to kill the crap out of things on their own to actually play alone, which meant he probably made some techniques that put out some decent damage. She already knew Oracle was a berzerker and buffed himself as a strigoi. Vox was confident that she was more than enough to keep them healed. This boss was strong, not fast. They could dance around this thing all day and just avoid his attacks. In the most abrupt and awkward way a person could ever actually end a conversation, the man in white did so. "Alrighty then. I'm going to take the long way around, see if they put in anything new. See you at the end, hun." Elise spoke to Oracle, giving him a wink before she sashayed off in another direction. The moment she was out of sight she set out at a sprint. Her heads up display started updating rapidly as the stranger carved his own path to the boss. He must not have known that Elise herself had been playing this game for awhile. This was not her first run through, nor even her second. She had made some grand friends who were much lower level than herself and never really had a problem redoing levels. Maybe the stranger actually was a new player. If that was the case it sucked. Bought a new game you may be unsure of and then all of the sudden find yourself stuck in it. What a shitty scenario. Elise sympathized with him, though the way she felt was different. Having already experienced so much she had a different drive this time around. Before the reset this game was just another seed generated knock off of Sword Arts Online. Now they were the next SAO. Fardor Avil Online would be the most talked about story since then. And Elise would be right there in the center of it all. It was not really the glory that was drawing her forth, nor the prestige and pity and adoration that was sure to pour in when this was all over. Elise just wanted one hell of a story to share with people. A few abstract noises pulled Vox from her musings. Mobs. Probably a load of them. What she really did not want to do right now was blow a load of energy senselessly murdering a mass of mobs. She was already a decent level and the end of the raid would grant her loads of experience. There was no need to launch herself so far ahead and it would be a lot of work she sincerely did not feel like putting in. So when the horde of nargs popped out all snarling and angry Elise just ran right at them. Planting a foot firmly before her and pushing off she jumped over them and kept on moving. Every time some creature tried to swipe at her she kept on running. Nothing had a speed stat near hers, there was nothing to fear. Ping. Oh a message! While she kept her light sprint on Vox opened up her inbox and saw a few things. First there were more d**k pics from Christian, to which she answered via deleting them. Then a request for cyber sex from someone she passed in town apparently, and a few random hellos from others logged in. A lot of them were asking for a party invite because they heard she was at the raid already. The newest was from the stranger. They gave coordinates to the boss, which was great. It had been a good amount of time since she had been here, the entire floor's map had not been registered in her brain. Elise noticed she had been going to far north and double backed. Taking a long corridor would be the best way to get there. So like a gazelle she took off, long legs propelling her forward. A sudden feeling of weightlessness and nothing beneath her feet had Elise throwing her entire weight forward. The girl tucked in her head and rolled on her shoulder, landing in one of those girly super hero poses that really accentuated her booty. The floor tiles were falling down, revealing an abyss. Whoa what a surprise. Truly. Very scary. Elise sighed and entered a runner's stance before taking off, clearing the entire distance of the corridor before the tiles even fell halfway. Next raid Elise would definitely be partnering with some newbs or at least not be that much higher level. It would be more entertaining that way. With a few more twists and turns she found herself at the boss room. "Glad to see you made it here safely, and before me. Some latent talent or do you play a lot of other games?" Elise asked while aimlessly flipping through her menu. Nothing else could be done until Oracle showed up. Well something could happen but that would be rude as ********, and she would not be down to screw a party member over.

When Vox arrived, it wasn’t long before the other guy accepted the invite. A healer probably could sweeten any deal, but the only problem was… he couldn’t see his level regardless of him being his party. Which was strange even for a secretive player. Whatever he had did to have his entire character a secret was sadly something he couldn’t afford to fret over. However, he did notice Vox was now 10. Three levels higher than him… “Alright. Let’s split up so we can cover more ground.” Oracle suggested, but more so told. It simply the best method to go about finding the boss.

The first time I entered this dungeon I was with three people….

The sound of moving feet echoed against the walls of the dungeon as he moved, his arms pumping as he ran. He didn’t have time to do the whole anime style run thing with his arms just slinked back in the wind. He wasn’t Bolt or Naruto. This wasn’t anything that simple. The walls of the dungeon simply passing by in a blur. The last time, it had took a week. At least they knew who this boss was. That was the most important thing. From what he had heard about the original game, the game that started it all, the boss may have been the same, but the weapons and stuff were different. And while that may seem just a little bad, it truly was a horrible thing. They couldn’t go barging in, hoping to beat those bosses on the first try as if it was some repeat, but that wasn’t what it was.

I ended up abandoning them… It wasn’t right, but they were better off with me. No… I was better off without them.
With every step he took, he could feel a dreadful amount of pressure fall unto his shoulder. One that only increased the further he traversed within the maze of the dungeon. Was the rules to the games the same. Did they still have to clear the dungeons and get to the final level to get out of the game? If that was the situation then hopefully this would be the right course of steps to take. There was no room for error. The future was written with every step they took in the present. To be what his name was, Jason had to understand the consequences of the present and realize the ripples they could cause in the future.

People don’t understand… sometimes to be a great player, you got to do the things no one else wants to do. The things that people will hate you for. That’s the type of person I am. I make the hard choices.
As he moved through the dungeon, he spotted random odd distractions in the maze. Such as odd tiles or miscellaneous objects that didn’t belong. Those were definitely traps, they were the ones that got the noob players. He knew had to avoid them, the ones he were worried about were the ones that gave players like himself a hard time. And those were really the ******** up one. No teleportation zones and trap doors that led to a swarm of monsters that usually was incredibly hard to beat. It wasn’t his intention on getting stuck in any of those horrible rooms. But since it was floor one, he probably wouldn’t hit it like would on a higher level.

The decision to be calculating and deceptive, isn’t the best at time. No one knows the true you. And that… that makes it hard to make friends. That’s why I have no true friends. My life outside of this game is alright, but I’m not good at anything according to everyone. This is the only thing I am truly good at.
As more and more time, more of the map became clear for him. This had been his fifth dead end with no sign of monsters. He had broke off from the group with the motto divide and conquer, but it look to him he was more of the conqueror of dead ends and no monsters. Which was good, but sad at the same time. The one thing worse than being killed in a dungeon was being bored in a dungeon. Which was absolute truth. When you were alone there were only so many things you could think of as mapping out a dungeon. If it hadn’t been for his stats right now, he’d be exhausted. Even as a level seven with 200 stats in speeds this is going to take.

Well… I guess is doesn’t matter really what I am good at or how… how far I go. I will find myself alone. If this dungeon is any proof of anything. My behavior… my character… my functioning ability. Is that of a loner wishing to be something more and confuses himself with something he isn’t. Because I am good at one other than gaming and naturally not being good at anything else. It’s this.
Coming around the corner, he found himself lost in thought until all of the sudden he found himself faced by a bunch of monsters. Not one, not even two, but ten Nargs. He could do ten ******** monsters no problem. He wasn’t that guy anymore. He wasn’t the guy that couldn’t fight his way out in a corner. Equipping his sword from his inventory as the monsters charged, he smirked. They weren’t going to get out of this alive.

In this game. Being alone has taught me how to survive even when I’m weak! That is what I’m good at. Surviving!
Like a bolt, he moved with precision and accuracy. The moment his feet pushed off the ground, not a second was wasted. Oracle’s body dropped like a rock as he somersaulted under his first Narg. As his body halfway completed the movement with his legs still yet to come to position to get up. The Oracle extended his feet quickly as they popped from their fetal position like a cannonball as they pushed against the wall sliding him back and away from an overhead diving Narg. Sliding up quickly against the wall, he raised his blade to block another Narg from getting at him by using the flat side of his blade. Fighting against the momentum of gravity which was quite easier than real life’s own was harder than he thought.

In the heat of battle things got blurry as the fight or flight responses kicked in. You feared of getting hurt, while at the same time you wanted to press on against all odds because that was instinct. That was the innate side of you telling you to destroy any threat that crosses your path. In this game, it brought out the true animal within them. Some were more easily affected by it than others.

As he struggled to keep the one narg off of him, the others were coming to flank him. After all, he was leaving himself open. But Jason caught that in the side of his eyes, he knew the risk. He knew exactly what to do. Because after all, he was the Oracle. His blade tilted to the side causing the monster to slide right off and hit the wall beside him, blocking on side of the flanking Nargs, but left him susceptible to the others. Though without missing a step, he dropped once again and vaulted to the other side of the hall. This would cause the Nargs coming in from the other end to collide with opposing side. “C’mon boys! You got to keep up. It doesn’t take twenty to tango.” He taunted even though it made difference. Sometimes it helped to talk to things that couldn’t talk back. It made you feel like you weren’t so alone, when you truly were.

I survive in this game, not because my life depends on it or because there’s people relying on me to do so. It because if I die, there’s no one else I can blame for my failures but myself. As long as I survive, I can keep channeling my failures and whatever else I compensating for and destroy the s**t out whatevers in my face.
As the Nargs dropped to the ground and tried to reassemble themselves for their next attack, he jumped over them. He needed a bit more space to take them out. After all, he probably should stop messing around just kill the poor bastards.

Like a dancer, he landed with grace with no a single sound made. Like a warrior, he took his stance with his blade raised. Like a murderer, his eyes hardened with intent to kill and destroy. The Oracle was ready, because he had already foreseen the outcome of this battle and that was only one result and one thing alone. His victory and their defeat.

As the Nargs took flight once again, the Oracle heard the beep of a party message. For once, he checked it out instead of waiting until later. Apparently the unknown dude had found the dungeon. Good job new guy. Oracle thought to himself. From there he decided he take them head on and destroy them in one streak and hurry on to the dungeon. After all, this was about to get really turnt up. There wasn’t a reason to toy around with the little buggers anymore. The boss was going to be hard enough and even though he couldn’t get tired literately, he knew his mind would and that would result in him getting tired, so he’d he would need to head there now while he was still good.

Like a bolt of lightning, he would burst with speed as he launched from his location with his sword in one hand turned outward at his side. He was truly by far faster than all of these monsters by at least ten, so they wouldn’t be able to keep up. The last of the ten would probably be able to throw a hit, that was the one he had to be ready for. Swing his blade in a simple upward diagonal slash, the blade would make contact with the monsters skin as it went through it. The path of the blade would be left in a red streak across the first narg’s torso as he went to the next. Like the first, it too would fall as he made a simple horizontal slash through the next from the position his blade had been left in. As he went through the first two, they would pixelate and disappear. Jason’s eyes watched them raise higher and higher as he moved. He needed to get some ground on them, but here in the maze there was none. So that left him with only one option.

Jumping and using his foot to push off the wall, he would go a few feet up before pushing off another narg to land on the back of one behind it. Swinging the blade through the one he leaped on from, he stuck his blade into the back of the one he was. Like a sharp and precise wrecking ball, he drag it through it and do the same for the next two, before leaping through the air and swinging his blade through two, four, and then finally six more Nargs. As he landed, he invo’d his blade as each of the last six Nargs pixelated and disappeared. Might as well head to the boss site now…

Heading to the site was long and boring, since he’d venture deep inside the dungeon, but in about ten minutes he would reach the party. And apparently he was the last one to arrive. “Good job..” He said to the white hair guy. He wasn’t too sure who he was, but apparently he was pretty decent at finding the boss door thing, so hopefully he’d be good at killing the thing as well. “Whenever you guys are ready.” Equipping his sword once again, he’d have to be ready the moment they entered. “This boss is close range, so if your not faster than it… try not to get hit by him nor his chains or you’ll be done.” The Oracle said to other guy. He knew Vox knew what the boss could do since she had played the game before, but this guy was new. So he had no idea what the boss could or the possible damage it could inflict. After all… for him. This is where he stopped dying and started surviving. This dungeon was his nexus point.

So it begins again… old friend.

                    ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

??? // Status is Enter The Ninja

Waiting was torture. Gabriel knew torture well. His method of killing his victims never really remained the same like most serial killers. This was an attempt to both confuse the police that assumed serial killers never strayed from their methods and to keep things interesting. He was still a teenager after all. Getting bored was normal. In this attempt to "spice" things up a little bit he once applied the Chinese Water Torture method onto one of his victims for a straight week. Taking notes of the degeneration of the victim. At first the man taunted Gabriel. Mocking the boy by making assumptions of his life and sexuality. This lasted for night one and two. The camera he left on during the day showed little. He had to be there for a reaction. Slowly, however, the man began to break. Beginning with irrational pleads such as asking to go to the bathroom or taking a small break from the torture. Putting a T.V in the room. Gabriel always said he would consider the T.V. If the man behaved. By the end the man was thrashing in his restraints. Gabriel had lost interest as well so he killed him quickly with an ice pick and hammer. "I wonder if this is what he felt like..." Gabriel mumbled to himself.

Sitting with his back against the door leading to the boss room, Gabriel couldn't keep the feeling he had been hiding away anymore. It started with the finger tapping and leg shaking. The entire time he had been in FAO something was taking his attention away from his dark urges. Now he could only wait. "It smells bad." The Dark Passenger said. The rotting corpse of Kokoro right in front of him. "Gah!" He shouted inching away from it. "What the ******** is that?!" He shouted feeling the urge to vomit, but at the same time he wouldn't because it was just a game. The urge was all in his head. So was the body, but he wouldn't realize it. The Dark Passenger chuckled hovering over the body. "I think you should hide it. You know. Before the others get here..." Gabriel was panicking he could hear someone getting close to his location. He had given the coordinates out. "s**t!" He didn't know where he could hide the body and there was also a part of him that desperately wanted to know how she had gotten there. "Better hurry..." And with that it was gone. "Douche bag..." Gabriel cussed while dragging the body into the far corner of the room. Hopefully no one would care to look there he thought and even if they did they would see nothing. "No one will notice hehehe...I'm sorry babe I don't know what happened, but I can't help you right now hehe..." Tears. Digital tears held no weight.

When Vox arrived, Gabriel was looking at the grand entrance to the boss room completely still. She would hear him mumbling something to himself, but wouldn't hear it. When he turned around to face her he would have the normal look of indifference from before. Except his heart rate was through the roof. "Hey... Glad you made it as well." Faking compassion was the most annoying part of integration. "I found this by chance actually. Didn't pass by any monsters either." Gabriel lied. "Guess my luck stats are high or something hehe..." Soon after Vox, Oracle followed up. "Thank you..." Gabriel replied to the compliment with a slight bow. "We should go now." He stated turning around towards the entrance. Before he had been denied access. A message would appear stating "Must Await Full Party" to enter. This time it didn't show. "Good Luck." Popped up.

There it was. The Floor One Boss. His sources in the game told him about the ugly thing. The Slugger. Melee based fighter with a small skill set. The exact skills he never found out. His sources were never players that had actually fought it. Maybe his party members had. "What will you do?" The Dark Passenger asked. The boy didn't care. He only had eyes for, The Slugger. "Kill it." Gabriel answered aloud. "What are your stats right now?" Summary mode engaged.

Mark of the Strigoi made it so that, Gabriel was always in Stage One of the Strigoi Stages. Much like Goku being in a constant Kaoken, Gabriel has achieved the same. "Stage Two. Activate." Gabriel announced while activating his blade via voice command. His strength would increase by 40 for a short amount of time. His blade would also begin to glow as well. Showing that he had activated his "Essence Reaver" ability. Without looking at his team mates he broke into a dash towards the boss. His speed decently high for someone of his level. The boss would have a tough time avoid his sword and being cut in the leg. Gabriel would keep dashing forward until far away from the boss after slashing it. The boy would repeat this in an X like pattern potentially slashing the boss four times. If the boss would get hit each time it would suffer from four stacks of bleed losing 20 extra hp. It would also lose 5 strength and speed during the initial three strikes and those stats would go into Gabriel's character.

Even though he hurried to the best of his stats capabilities, it seemed that he had either gotten here too early or too late. It would have been awkward if he stood here and Mystrery Man was off killing the boss, and then he just showed up at the killing blow. No.. He couldn't have that. Aizawa began to stretch instinctively, cracking his knuckles, receiving that satisfying pop as the gasses escape the joints. Next he began to psych himself up, jumping up and down while throwing punches forward, muttering to himself. He knew this wouldn't work, or shouldn't have rather, but for some reason he could feel this weird sensation of excitement deep in his chest. Perhaps this was because his life changed in a dramatic way, and that he was now living out a fantasy as a reality? Nonetheless a smile crept across his visage as he made a bolt for the main dungeon entrance. He knew this place like the back of his hand, having been here at a minimum three times before, that being in the Alpha, Beta, and his first character when the serves went live in public release for the first time. Sure he had alts as well, but those didn't really count now did they? With a hop, skip, and a jump later (not really), Aizawa had managed to circumnavigate the dungeon and avoid pretty much every trap on the way to the boss entrance, except for that one.. He had manage to jump a bit too far on one of the traps so when he landed he triggered the one that was just past the crumbling floor, but luckily he was agile enough to avoid it. That would have been embarrassing wouldn't it? Aizawa gave a casual glance around the boss entrance as he waited. He thought about waiting for a little bit and see if he had managed to get here first, though he highly doubted it, and thus he decided he would enter the boss zone and see if Malavaes was in there, and if not he would hold out for as long as he could while he waited.

As he phased through the entrance he was greeted by the sight of The Slugger and two randoms that were at the Plaza, as well as the figure of the Mystery Man. So his hunch was right, that he was late. From the look of things the fight had just begun so he wasn't all that late which he was thankful for.
"So, am I going to steal this thing or am I gonna get an invite?!" He yelled out into the room with a jovial tone to his voice, obviously teasing them. Unlike Malavaes, he wasn't in Kaio-ken Stage One twenty-four seven. So as he adjusted his breathing a blue aura begin to build up at his feet and coil it's way around his frame like a snake until it reached just above his head, turning into a flickering flame a blue around his figure. That blue began to change into a fierce purple as he also entered Stage Two simultaneously, the blue from Stage One and red from Stage Two mixing. Now his Strenght / Speed were both boosted by forty. Aizawa hadn't focused on learning abilities or creating any yet, so he had to just go about this the most simple way, straight on with his stats and fists which was just the way he liked it. The young Monk lurched forward away from the door, bolting right for the boss which should have been distracted by his Mystery Man, and taking this advantage he would go in for a free hit. Leaping into the air he would twist his body and grab a-hold of this monstrosity's head before pulling down, swinging his foot right towards the monster's face, and should it hit he would using the momentum from the impact to leap away and land a safe distance from the thing, arms up in a basic boxing pose. The aura surrounding his figure would alter again in color to some weird dark purple/green combo as he also activated his Stage Three just in case he had pulled aggro form his little assault.

                            > Three posts remaining on all stages.

The stranger's response had Vox raising an eyebrow. People talked to themselves plenty but something was seriously strange about the guy. It mostly had to do with the inability to read his character information. As diffident as this fellow was that particular trait made him stand out. No part of Elise was trusting him right now. How did he even get that sort of coverage? There were few reasons it would be handy in a setting like this and that was for players who needed to retain a level of secrecy. Most of those people were the red ones, players willing to kill other players for the sake of their own enjoyment. In a lot of games that was just a part of life; you get griefed. Having all of your hard work washed away in an instant because some twelve year old wiener rolled on by with a bucket of lava and destroyed everything. Or those players in role playing games that existed solely for the eradication of all things fun. Now with the state that Fardor Avil Online was in the motivations for those types of players would surely change. Elise could only chalk up a single reason to stop people from progressing now that FAO could only be escaped by completing it; people did not want to leave the game. Maybe their lives were crappy out in the real world. Perhaps they were losers or had some intense social anxiety. There was even the possibility that outside forces made their lives a living hell. Whatever the reason there was it was hardly an excuse for keeping others as their play thing. So far though, the stranger had given her no real reason to worry. Nothing he had said was any more bizarre than he himself. There was something to do that would reveal a bit more information; blood reading. By calling upon her race's ability to sense the blood flow in a person Elise could know what they were feeling. Each emotion came with a certain speed and feeling of the flow. A passive look of indignation was on her face, the general resting look that she had. There was no reason to search him. Elise had come here as Vox, not the ace detective. All that mattered was clearing the boss. Foot steps echoing down one of the halls that led to the boss room could only mean that Oracle was about to show up. An easy smile slipped on to her face and she shot him a wink. Her fellow party member gave a quick description of slugger which acted more as a warning to the stranger than Vox. She already knew how the beast inside would work. With her strength rating she'd do a very little bit of damage to the boss. In order to prepare ahead of time Vox held out her hand and dug in to it with her other, creating a fresh wound. "I'll provide support from afar. These bombs all together will put out a little bit of damage, but mainly will deter Slugger from moving around. When you guys are moving around I'll be doing the same. The moment you take damage I'll be on you with heals. So let-" The boss doors opened up and the stranger ran inside, saying something that was particularly out of place. Was that him answering a question or giving an order? Vox closed her mouth shut and shook her head. Looks like they found quite the team player. One ball of blood formed and she hooked it to her belt, then the next and another two. With four bombs in total Vox summoned out her bow and arrows and ran in to the boss fight. Even if the damage she could put out was small it was damage nonetheless. One arm pulling cleanly back on the bow Vox took aim and let fly an arrow. She would move quick, staying far enough that Slugger would have to run at her to even hit with chains. When the first arrow was shot she pulled back and let fly another three for four arrows in total.

Description: Vox will form a ball of blood about the size of her hands. It is very condensed and pulsates slowly under the pressure. These are akin to grenades that have an x range of explosion. When they are triggered they shoot outward with an initial blast of concussive force, then the ball rapidly expands. The shape it takes is that of a 5x5 spiked ball and it will stick to the location that it lands in. The spikes are capable of impaling. Upon creation Vox can have the balls float near her so she doesn't have to hold them. They will line up like pokeballs on her belt and be ready for her to grab and chuck when she feels like it.

As the white haired new guy bounded ahead without much thought, he found himself quite confused for a moment or two. The first thing that happened was the green haired guy he saw in the plaza for a brief second prior to coming here suddenly rushed into the boss room, shouting something about an invite. But how... how did he manage to suddenly appear on their party list? That was impossible unless the ??? guy invited him to the party and he suddenly decided to show. There was no point in trying to figure out a problem like that. He wasn't going to analyze a problem when danger lied ahead of them. Even though they didn’t need to worry about death anymore, they still needed to worry about the consequences of dying within the game all that crap. This wasn’t just a game, hell. It hadn’t just been a game for the last twenty years.

So as his teammates basically started to fly in and do attacks of all natures, all he did was watch. His sword was drawn. He was ready to charge in, but he didn’t. He watched. Not because he was scared to get hit, but because he needed to be the back up. The reserve. The person to move if someone got in trouble or were about to get hit. If the new dude or Yamato character started to get in some real danger, he could act quickly as possible. He knew he was fast enough to stop them from getting hit and defended well enough to take one as well. Hopefully, he just wouldn’t have too. Taking five steps into the boss room behind Vox, he prepared himself for the worse as he got in his stance for knight’s blitz with his blade firmly gripped in hand.

                    The Slugger // NPC // HP : 0

In the previous version of FAO, the boss would not activate until its doors were opened. The dungeon itself worked on its own accord, doing everything in its power to keep players at bay, scare them away, or divert them from the path that would lead them towards the boss room. But with the reboot of FAO's system, changes were made to create a more havoc environment. The boss still waits like a sitting duck, trapped in its room at the core of the dungeon, but it is activated the entire time. The reworked system also formed bosses into AIs, causing them to be almost sentient. Not on the same level as players, obviously, but more so than common mobs. They are made aware of their existence and role in the game, capable of thought and some emotion. Mostly anger or excitement. Or at least, that's all The Slugger has ever experienced. His anger stemmed from not only being encased in a room, but chained as well. As if not being able to ever get the jump on his foes wasn't enough. He would stand in the center of the boss room, arms and legs chained and bolted, straining against them for as long as it took the players to make their way to him. Only once they opened his doors would the system allow him to accumulate the strength to break free of his bonds. To a being with higher intelligence than he, it would have been funny. The Slugger vocally urged players onward, to find him, to free him, with bellows that shook the dungeon. And once they did engage him in fight, his only goal was to kill them. Slay his rescuers. This is not to mention the fact that the entire dungeon is set to work against the boss's wishes. To keep him locked away for as long as possible, building his irritation. Whoever rewrote the system truly did have a twisted sense of humor.

Every time a player attempts to open his door, The Slugger is alerted with a solid knock. For reasons beyond his knowledge, the first alert was followed with no threat. But his excitement to be freed woke with a vengeance. He rocked forward on his feet, crouching low and pounded the ground with his fists, like he was egging on whoever stood outside his door. Incapable of speech, strange gurgles and grunts fell out of his mouth, following the rhythm of his fists. It felt like forever before the alert sounded again, and this time, the doors opened. The Slugger bellowed with glee, yanking on his chains viciously. Like expected, although he doesn't know why or how he knew, the chains were heaved from the ground, causing a ruckus. No sooner had he upended his restraints was a cry emitted from one of the players, who proceeded to get lost in a blur of speed. The Slugger's reflexes were poor. It stumbled after each strike like a giant, unbalanced baby. Four hits made their marks on his legs, causing a massive dent in his HP. Startled, the monstrosity roared furiously, rounding on his knight-in-shitty-armor. He was stepping towards the aggressor when another flew up into his vision, latching onto his head and kicking him in the face. Unprepared, the beast was knocked off balance and effectively dropped. His weight caused vibrations to shake the dungeon floor. There was a moment where he struggled to lumber up again, while his HP plummeted, and confusion and anger colored his mind. The players were not what he was expecting at all. HP at critical point, The Slugger accepted defeat.

CONGRATULATIONS! The large text flashed in front of the players as the floor one boss shuddered to a stop, and disintegrated.

Gabriel watched as the boss disappeared into a rain of sparkles. The First Floor was finally cleared. Only 99 left to go. Looking at his hands he realized his body was glowing. "What?" A small flash of light would consume the boy blocking vision of him. A mark in the palm of his left hand forming. The Mark Of The Strigoi. When the light vanished, Gabriel would be there, but with a different set of default clothing. Much darker, concealing his features unlike before. The Dark Passenger manifested except this time it was no longer a floating cloud of darkness. It had gained a sort of humanoid shape, but with the same ghastly outline. "Nice jacket." It stated without mentioning it's change. Gabriel didn't mention it either. Something about it was very unsettling though. "You guys killed it. Well. I wouldn't say you all did it." The Dark Passenger was referring to Oracle. Who stood at the entrance. It was true that they had killed it very quickly, but still it was odd how the player didn't act. Kono was there. When did he join and how? "What?" Gabriel mumbled watching the player from afar. He wanted to leave the group quickly. Then he vanished. Into the Second Floor presumably.
