Monthly Win: Customers may win three customs and two familiars a month. The new month starts on the first day of the following month. If a customer is unsure if they can enter customs they can look here. Bribes do not have a win limit.
Co-Owning: You may not co-own with another owner. A pet belongs to one person. If you want to give ownership to another person you must rehome it.
Seniors: If you purchased a senior you may pay a little extra for them to be a graduate of their university without going through graduate requirements. However, you must pay when you win the custom, as that is the only time the offer stands. If you choose not the you cannot later decide to pay extra for your Nightmare to graduate.
Paper Dolls: If you want to physically draw your Nightmare concept, go ahead! We have paper dolls here if you wish to use them!
Approved Quests: If your quest has been approved then you can get it done free of charge if you are rolled/selected in a customs round!
Nightmare/Daydream References: When it comes to using another Nightmare/Daydream you do not own as a reference you first need to obtain permission. Once you do, screenshot the permission and include it in the form, or else we will assume you did not receive the right to use another Nightmare/Daydream as a reference and disqualify your form.
Incomplete Forms: If the form is incomplete then it will be disqualified. It is not the colorists responsibility to remind you to complete the form. Likewise, if your form is not filled out according to what the colorist is asking for, you can and may be disqualified. It is not the colorist's responsibility to notify you if you make edits after they have already gone through to add entrants to their lists. (An example of this is: a colorist asks for one image for inspiration, and you link two instead.)
Payment: Customers must pay within 24 hours of winning or they will be disqualified and a new winner will be selected. If you are worried you cannot pay within that time frame please alert the colorist before they choose winners so that you may work out an alternative solution.
Newbie: A newbie is someone who has three or less Nightmares/Daydreams in the shop.
Proxies: You may proxy for someone should they be unable to enter customs due to internet issues or inability to sign onto Gaia. You may not proxy for those blacklisted or greylisted, or for someone who already had entered the customs. You may not give away a win, meaning if you're selected in a custom you may not "trade spots" with someone else.
WIPS: You may request for WIPs in your form, but if you opt not to or forget to include you would like them it is not the colorists responsibility to send you WIPs.
Mocks: We do not allow mocks. You may purchase siblings to a Gen 1 character, however you may not purchase a sibling to a Gen 2+. They cannot be a legitimate child created from a Nightmare/Daydream within the shop. Breedings are the only way to receive children connected to a Nightmare/Daydream within this shop. Mock breedings include "breedings" where the character is not related to the parent(s) they are based off of. I.e., combining two Gen 1 Nightmares/Daydreams to make another Gen 1 Nightmare/Daydream.
You may custom blood-parents or blood-grandparents for a Gen 1 character you have, but this means you may no longer custom siblings for the Gen 1 character. Any further siblings MUST be acquired through the parents breeding. We also will not edit certs to change the generation of the character or add their customed parents in, as the certs serve to help us identify who has bred within the shop by our hands.
Redo: Should you wish for a redo you must approach the colorist who made the first form of the Nightmare/Daydream (if they still work here) and alert them of your intentions. Typically, it is preferred that if the colorist who made your Nightmare/Daydream is still in the shop that they redo the pet themselves, but it isn’t necessary. A Nightmare/Daydream must be over 6 months old before you can request a redo. Breeding children who you wish to be redone cannot obtain extra hybrid features, change race, or gain anything the parents lack. They must still resemble their previous form and their parents. Should you wish for a redo you must enter them into customs, as this is the only way we’ll be doing redo’s.
Body Edits: You may not create a Nightmare/Daydream race that doesn’t exist or request custom body parts. What this means is you cannot request a bat Nightmare/Daydream and desire the character to have custom bat wings. We will not do this. Instead, you can receive a Chimera that resembles a bat coloring wise, but is still a Chimera. Should you wish for the character to have a disability you may request the colorist to edit it on, but it must be approved by staff first. In the future we plan to add many more races, so keep an eye out! When ordering a Nightmare/Daydream you are limited to the races that currently exist. Custom horns are allowed, however, only for horned races! You are limited to a max of two horns per character. The only exception are Baphomet and Baphomet hybrids, who may have two sets of horns. Horns should remain relatively smooth at the current time, due to the fact our horn races tend to have smooth horns. Very minor segments are allowed!
Fangs can be put on Bakeneko and Naga (only one on each side). Goblins have up to four fangs showing, with a minimum of one showing at all times.
Growing: Should you purchase a stone or infant your character will automatically grow until they've reached freshling stage (provided you awaken the stone). Once a freshling you must complete growth requirements.
Cosplays: We do not allow cosplays, ever. You may request a hairstyle or clothing similar to a character you love, but it cannot be identical. You cannot make a character a personality cosplay, either.

There are several major types of custom slots that can be commonly found throughout the shop. While staff may create a special kind of custom, the ones labeled above are the types of customs you'll see in Nightmare Academy the most. Some customs will mix certain slots together. Below is a guide to the slots and what they entail:
CC = Colorist Choice RNG = Random number generated Semi Custom = Customs that aren't fully designed by the customer. Hybrid = A character with several races within them Redo = The chance to have a pet redone Twins = Two Nightmares related to each other who resemble one another greatly RLC = Customs that require actual real life currency to win. Familiars = Familiar only slots.

Below you will find forms to enter your Nightmare concepts into customs. Please select the form that applies to you. Keep in mind that colorists may choose to create a new form for different types of customs, and if they do you should always use the form they provide rather then the typical form that covers 95% of customs.

 Full Customs And You:
Please keep in mind lore limitations at all times. Characters must not break lore. You cannot request mutated/altered tails/limbs (unless it is a mutated child in October). Below is a handy list of lore specific information towards physical features, including a hybrid guide:
Geists and Litches only that can have black sclera, unless it's a mutation. Dryad have sclera that are a darker color of their iris. Goblin should have anywhere between 1 - 4 fangs showing. Solar Fey and Lunar Fey can now mix traits! Bakeneko & Naga can have 1-2 fangs showing and must have slit pupils. Sluagh have darkly colored sclera that can be any dark colour except for black. Dolls have the power symbol for pupils. Shades have bullseye pupils that are darker or lighter than the base colour. There is not visible iris. Chomps have slit pupils that are lighter in color than the iris. Slimes can be transparent, but colorists don't have to colour them this way! Any other race has white sclera. Imps, Demons, Baphomets, and Chimera's can have custom horns, however please approach Embi before making it official. Any custom traits SHOULD be templated. Our hybrid guide can be found here: click!
